My iTunes will not sync my music to my iPhone 5.

I have made sure I have the correct box checked on the summary page within the options box and on the music page, but my phone does not show any music. What am I missing?

Okay, just figured out a roundabout way of getting your new music to sync, but it's not pretty. I was having trouble adding new songs to a  preexisting playlist that was already synced to my phone, so I found that I unsynced that whole playlist and then re-added it back, my new songs were there. It's annoying, but at least it worked...
UGHHH never mind!!! Doing that only synced ONE new song, not all of them! ***

This is a problem with home sharing, you are not going to have to re-encode all your CD's.

  • ITunes will not sync my music properly?

I had an iphone 3, then i bought an iphone 4 from the MAC store, the iphone4 will sync everything except my music, it downloads some of it but the songs will not play all the way through and it will not download my playlists from iTunes.  As well it will download some of my photos, but when it gets half way through my computer shuts down.  I never had a single problem with my iPhone 3. I have uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled twice now, and it does not seem to fix the problem.  Thanks for any help you can offer

In iTunes, Select the album use FIle > Get Info > Info tab and check that the artist entry is filled then resync.

  • ITunes v10.6 will not sync any music to my iPhone 4, no error messages

Recently, my iTunes for Windows (64-bit) has stopped syncing music or playlists to my iPhone 4 over USB or wi-fi. Syncing occurs for all other media (tv shows, movies, photos, etc.) but neither scenario of syncing specific playists of songs, playlists themselves, or entire music library will sync to the iPhone. All built-in iTunes diagnostic tests pass, and there are no error messages during the actual sync process.

Sorry to say, wiclee, I did try that solution numerous times to no resolution. However, I do have good news. I was able to solve my own problem. What I had to do was delete the iTunes Library.itl database file. For those not aware,
iTunes Library ("iTunes Library.itl" in Windows) is a database of the songs in your library and the playlists you've created. Some song-specific data is saved in this file. If you delete the file, iTunes creates a new, empty copy when you open the application, but any playlists, song ratings, comments, or other information you created will be lost. The iTunes Library file is only used by iTunes.
So, I closed iTunes, searched for and deleted the database file. Once I restarted iTunes, the database was recreated, and I could properly synchronize again. So, if anyone has the same problem that I did, now you have a solution.

  • Itunes will not sync photos from aperture with iphone

I cannot sync images in my Aperture Library with my iPhone 5.  I used to be able to do it, but now, no matter what I ask it to sync, the sync quits when it gets to importing the photos I've selected

Same issue with iMac to iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. Both with iOS 8.1.

  • ITunes will not sync my pictures or all of my apps.  Everything else syncs just fine when the box is checked.

iTunes will not sync my pictures to my iPhone 4, nor will it sync all of my apps.  Only a portion of my applications sync to the phone, even though all are checked in iTunes.  I have never had this issue in the past with syncing any of my items to the phone.  Problem has been ongoing now for a little over a month. All video, music and movies have synced just fine. The latest 4.3.3 software has been installed, as well as the latest version of iTunes.  The phone has also been reset to the initial factory settings, completely wiping it out and starting over. This still did not fix the issue.

I have the same problem since getting iTunes 9. However, I think mine has to do with the fact that the apps that won't sync were purchased with a different iTunes account. I have tried to sync with both accounts but they still don't get sync'd. They show on the iTunes screen, they are checked, and they show on the iPhone screen where they will be when sync'd but once I sync, they aren't on the phone but still show in iTunes as sync'd. If I go to the App Store on my phone (3G) and look at the app, it shows "installed" but aren't on the phone. I have tried using my MAC and a PC; I have tried everything to get them to show up but to no avail. Anyone out there can help??!?!?!?!?

  • Itunes 11.4 will not sync any music

Itunes 11.4 will not sync any music to iPad 2 mini or iPhone 3GS after upgrade. I have tried a full restore and hard resets on the iPhone. I have tried multiple combinations of checking and unchecking the boxed related to transfers and automatic syncing.
I hit the sync button and only for a brief second does it appear to attempt to sync and then nothing further happens. It seems to abort with no error message. Any assistance would be appreciated or thumbs up from those with similar problems after a recent upgrade.
    I am using OS 10.6.8.
    Thank you!

i'm in the same boat. setting up my iPhone 6 as a new device (as i've done numerous of times with my other iDevices). i've had zero luck on transferring my library and playlist over to my new iPhone 6. I do nothing different than what i've done before. I'm experiencing the same thing as the OP. It goes through the steps pretty quick and the storage capacity at the bottom shrinks a few GB's for my playlist i'm adding, then it reverts back to what it's currently at and does nothing, no errors.

  • Music from itunes will not sync with iphone 5

I just upgraded from iphone 4 to 5 and didnt have time for verizon to sync my phone so i did it when i got home. the music from my itunes will not sync with my phone. it shows the music on the usage bar when the phone is plugged in but shows no content on the phone. any suggestions?

I have a similar problem. Mine started with iTunes putting multiple versions of the same songs (whole and seemingly random albums) onto my iPod 5, but after trying to remedy that I now cannot sync any music of any sort. It took random songs off and then started getting stuck at the "waiting to apply changes" stage (as apparently many people have seen) and after trying all the things that are supposed to work I now have an iPod that doesn't have any music on it (because a lot of my music was not purchased on iTunes) and won't sync music or finish any other kind of sync.
It seems like the "fixes" discovered so far don't work for everyone.
My iPod is 5th gen running iOS 7.0.4 (but problem started on 7.0.3) with the latest version of iTunes, for reference.

  • Had problem with laptop so reinstalled it now itunes will not sync on both laptops, it did before.

Had problem with laptop so reinstalled it now itunes will not sync on both laptops, it did before to my iphone5 says cannot sync to 2 libraries until I reinstalled it did.

iDevices can only be synched with one library.  However, you can sync successfully with more than one computer if each has a copy of the same logical library - the identifier that iTunes uses to determine which library is synced an iDevice is recorded within the iTunes database (the iTunes Library.itl file).  The best approach is to replicate your complete library (database, media, artwork, associated files) from one PC to the other.  When you reinstalled iTunes on your laptop it will, by default, have created a new library with a distinct id from that of your other machine.  Even if you copied all your media from one to the other, iTunes will still see the libraries as distinct with respect to syncing iDevices.
If you have configured iTunes to organize your media and to copy files to the iTunes Media folder, then the complete library will be contained within (by default) C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes, with a structure of subfolders and key files like this:
If this is the case, you can (with iTunes not running on either machine):
Copy this iTunes folder from laptop 2 to laptop 1 (the one that's had iTunes reinstalled) - depending on the size of your library you can do this over a network, using a thumb drive, or an external (USB) hard driveNote this this assumes no media on laptop 1 that's not also on laptop 2 - if this isn't the case, there's a slightly different process to follow to ensure that this media is preserved and can be added to the "common" library
Once the copy is complete, make sure that iTunes is using the correct library database by holding down SHIFT as you start iTunes.  When you see this prompt:
select Choose Library..., navigate to the iTunes folder you just copied, select the iTunes Library.itl file you'll find there, and click Open.
For future reference, you can use turingtest2's user tip on Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy for a suitable method to backup your library to an external drive - you can then, with care, use this to keep the copies of your common library in sync across your laptops.
