After i downloaded itunes it says that it can't run because it can't find apple applications support for itunes set up i think?

I would completely remove iTunes and other Apple software then install iTunes again. The articles below will assist depending on what version of Windows you have for your computer.

I havent been able to get on ITunes since November and I have to update my ipod to iOS. When iTunes is installing it says an error message that has nothing to do with Itunes. Then it starts the install over again then it says that my Apple Mobile Support isnt working and the choices are to abort, cancel, or close. Then after the install is done it says Apple Application Support isnt found. I un installed and re-installed plenty of times and still nothing is working. And my ipod still dont have the iOS update.

If you haven't deliberately tried to downgrade iTunes then it is possible the library is corrupt. This approach should work.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

I'm no technical expert, I just like to help out whenever or wherever I can so... I don't know if this can help you, but let me tell you about how I got my Snow Leopard to run in 64 bit mode. When I got my (late 2008) iMac it was running in 32 bit mode under Tiger (2.4 GHz/Core 2 Duo). I eventually upgraded to Snow Leopard & it was running in 32 bit mode (by default) w/1 GB RAM.
Somewhere along the line, I happened to watch a YouTube Video that showed how to upgrade an iMac's RAM, so I ordered two - 2GB sticks of Crucial RAM and then - under the guidance of the 14 or 15 year-old young man who posted the video on YouTube; wearing a rather fashionable static-electricity-neutralizer-wrist-strap, I removed 1GB of RAM & plugged in the 4GBs of RAM. So - boom like that, it was like I bought a brand new machine.
It was over a year later when I stumbled across a way to boot Snow Leopard into 64 bit mode. Turns out that if you boot while holding down the 6 & 4 key combo (the ones above the QWERTY keys), then the machine runs in 64 bit mode. Go figure. Now my Snow Leopard and just about all of my applications - with the ironic exception of iTunes - runs in 64 bit. iTunes seems fine though; if there's a performance bottleneck, I really can't tell.

Can't install iTunes 10 properly. Need Apple Application Support 1.3.2.

I've downloaded iTunes 10 THREE TIMES NOW and STILL get an error message telling me I need Apple Application Support 1.3.2. I seem to have version 1.3.0.
I'm on limited (and fairly slow bandwidth and it's expensive to go over my limit, especially if it's only going to fail again... I did select download only so I could install myself behind my firewall and yet still the installation has failed.
How do I get the Apple Application Support 1.3.2. file only without having to download 100MB's a fourth time please?
Can anybody point me to just that file alone online please?

Same problem here. after downloading new itunes, would not install. went to apple instructions and uninstalled all applicable files, but there was not a Apple Application Support file to uninstall. Downloaded itunes again, all went well, showed copying, installing, etc. gave me the screen to open itunes, but then get the message "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run Itunes. Please uninstall itunes, then install itunes again." Then "Error 2 (Windows error 2)
Apparently, i do not have the apple application support program. how do i get this on my windows vista? thank u all for any help

I can't use itunes because I don't have apple application support

I have recently got I new laptop, and I wished to transfer all my itunes libraries to my new laptop from my old. I plugged in my iPhone 3GS into my new computer, having not previously downloaded the latest update for either iTunes (on my old laptop) or my iPhone, the new laptop did it instantly. Therefore, it never gave me the option of transferring my purchases, which is what I had planned on doing, so I lost all my music and apps. However, I had my photos and contacts etc, and my music and apps were still on my old laptop, so I set up home share, and now have my library on both laptops, but cannot get my apps there and cannot get my library from my new laptop to my iPhone. So, not sure of what to do, I plugged my iPhone back into my old computer, which had the older version of iTunes, unlike my new laptop. ITunes then told me that I had to uninstall it and then reinstall it because it was the older version. I misread this stupidly, and dowloaded the newer version, which annoyingly didn't even download properly. So, after re-reading the message that came up when I plugged in my iPhone, I looked up on the apple website how to uninstall and reinstall iTunes etc, and it told me I had to uninstall a number of programmes, inlcuding Apple Application support, I wasn't 100% sure why I had to do this, but i thought it would be best if i followed the instructions, and so I erased that from my old laptop, and tried reinstalling itunes. After several attempts, iTunes wasn't even downloading, but eventually it worked, however, upon opening the programme, I recieve a message telling my to uninstall itunes and reinstall it because there is no Apple Application Support, so i do this but to no avail, the same message appears. I have tried installing Quick Time because I read on a website that it would help, but this also had no effect, I really need to get my music and apps back onto my phone, but without iTunes I don't know how!
