My Itunes won't turn on...error message pops up saying something about Quic

Quicktime needs repaired or installed. Everytime I try to install or repair Quicktime though nothing happens.
The problem started when I was asked to update the latest version of itunes. Since then, I have not been able to access Itunes.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I am cumputerdumb....LOL

Hello. Below is a list of assistance.
If you have not done so yet launch Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. And uninstall the following programs in the following order.
Keep in mind names could be slightly different then listed or not in your list at all. So simply move down the list if you can not find it. Once the list is done reboot. And then download Quicktime and Install link provided below. Then download and Install iTunes latest version.
As stated earlier you want to download the Quicktime stand alone. Not the Quicktime+iTunes.
1. Uninstall the following Apple Software in the following order to help reduce reboots
-Apple Mobile Device Support
-Apple Software Update
-Bonjour
-Windows iPod Updater (Name might be different but look for anything with the word iPod)
-MobileME Control Panel
-Quicktime
-iTunes
*Now reboot the computer
2. Download Quicktime Stand Alone - http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
3. Download latest iTunes - http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Apparently the display is required to be HDCP compatible to view HD movies in iTunes. My display isn't so this is my problem. I contacted Apple support and they have agreed to credit me for the HD movie and I have now downloaded the SD version.

It is always these four updates that fail. I've tried downloading and installing them seperately from apple downloads. I've tried various recommended fixes, and nothing I can figure out works. Before these problems, itunes worked on the computer for a year.

Also, if that doesn't work, try this:
First you need to create another App Store iTunes account with a different country. (If you're American, do Canadian and vice versa)
When you sign out then sign in under the new account, it will say that your account only works in USA and to change the store. Once it does that your top 25 will be changed back to top apps and you'll get no more errors. Then you can change back to your normal account.
You can create another account free. Do it through iTunes on your computer or Mac. Change the country at the bottom of the App Store. Try and download a Free app. That way you don't need a credit card.

So it appears iCloud/iTunes Match isn't the issue - the error message would seem to be complaining about where the music is being downloaded to. So with this in mind:
In iTunes select Preferences and select Advanced. The iTunes media folder should be set to /Users/<your account>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music. <your account> would be whatever your user account is. If you see something else there I'd guessing it is a folder you don't have permission to write to.

Error message pops up saying "Network Connection could not find a PPPoe Server.

I am trying to update my wife's iBook, 2,1 for my mom to use. It is running OS 10.6.8. Every time I wake up the computer an error message pops up saying "Network Connection could not find a PPPoe Server." It does it periodically when the computer is on. ITunes won't open - wordless error message

When I try to open itunes, I get a wordless error message that only shows a red octagon behind the itunes application symbol. The only option is to click 'OK'. Any ideas what this is and how to deal with it? I haven't used itunes in a few weeks, so I have no idea when this problem occurred. Try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ directory and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.

Try removing the com.apple.iCal.plist file from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. To find that Library folder, if you are using Lion, use Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library. Drag the .plist file to your desktop, and log out/in or restart.
Next, make sure that you are not connected to the internet. Then to to your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars Folder and remove any files with "Cache" as a part of the file name. Use the same method as listed above to get to the correct Library Folder. Log out/in, or restart and check iCal for functionality.

By accident, I deleted QuickTime, and can now not open iTunes, so I downloaded QuickTime again, recieved a message that QuickTime has been successfully downloaded, but when I try to open/run it, I get this error message:

hmmm. let's try an alternate technique for swapping out your QuickTime that doesn't involve redownloading an installer.
first let's just make sure your previous QuickTime is thoroughly gone.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

Itunes won't launch, no error message

I have an ipod shuffle and everything was fine till I downloaded the new version of itunes. Now itunes does not launch, it does not do anything atall, no error message, no hourglass, nothing.
Also, my ipod shuts down after playing for just 5 minutes. It seems like it is not getting charged even if I leave it in my computer for a while.
Quicktime launces without any problems.

the first thing that i check for when people report getting that message when they try to launch their itunes is a broken or missing QuickTime. (itunes needs a fully functional QT in order to work properly.)
try to open your QuickTime. does it launch properly? or do you get an error message, or some other peculiar behavior, or find that it isn’t on your PC at all?
if you get an error message (or peculiar behavior, or find that it’s missing), the first thing we'll try is a careful standalone QT 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention itunes 6
if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)
