I can open up itunes and when I click on "check for updates" it asks if I want to download iTunes version 11.1.5 and I click "Download iTunes" but then nothing happens. Sometimes uptop the loading bar will appear but for only a split second. I have tried restarting, shutting down, I cannot figure out why it won't download. What's happening and how do I fix it?

Try updating using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

Sure, it looks like the call disconnected, but as soon as I try to make another call, I see the same screen (the first called) and the words "calling mobile". The only way I can rememdy this, naturally, is powering off and restarting. But, c'mon...$300 for a phone that you have to power down between calls???
I've got the latest OS update, no jailbreak, or anything exotic on my 4s. What's more, when I try to make a call 2 out of 3 times, the dumb SIRI opens up and stops me from making the call. (and, yes, I have very carefully checked my process that I am not intentionally activating SIRI with my cheek.)

Hold the power button and the home button down until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears. This will do a reset and you should be able to update your apps then.

Trying to update Firefox and I downloaded setup.exe, but then nothing happened

I currently have 3.0.19 version of Firefox and finally decided to update since this version crashes whenever you go to google maps. My automatic updater did not work (error message was just that it failed for an unspecified reason). I went to the mozilla website and clicked on the free download button. It then asked if I wanted to save the Firefox 7.0.1 setup.exe which I saved to my Mozilla folder. Then nothing happened. When I clicked on the link if nothing automatically happens it just asks if I want to save the same file. I've restarted, but still have the same old firefox version. Is there more I need to download, or do I have to run something?

Can someone help me download itunes onto my desktop computer? I have Windows Vista. When I try to download itunes this is what pops up "this instillation package could not be opened. I can't download any applications on my macbook pro, it starts but then nothing happens

Every time I try to download any application, for example today I am trying to download Gimp for Mac, the window goes blank and in the browser it looks like it's loading but then nothing comes up. I have tried creating a new user account but the same thing happens when I download in that one. I think it is a system issue but I am not technically minded and so struggle to figure out what is happening. I can download itunes, apps from the app store. But nothing else. Even flashplayer updates don't download. Can someone help me because it is increasingly frustrating! I am needing Gimp for Mac in order to open up software I need for a new course I am doing, which means I need it today!! Thank you to anyone if they can help.

IE works, Firefox has no connection- no error message- just continues to say "new tab" and "go to a website," when something is entered, it thinks for a moment, but then nothing happens. Chrome shows error 137 and safari cant find internet.

Firefox and Chrome stopped working for apparently no reason. IE works. Have tried proxys, firewalls, and restarting. NOTHING WORKS. Firefox is the oddest as there are no error messages, but just shows practically no movement. Only movement is a quick "loading spin" in the address bar, but then nothing. The tab continues to read "new tab" and the address bar says whatever site I typed in, but goes no where. Chrome shows error 137 if that helps.

It's not just you, I can't authorise my phone. It seemed to go down just after I started the update (it wasn't my fault though). I am using chrome, and it does not seem to be a firewall issue, or the bannerblock issue that I read about else where, since I dont have that program installed. Strange though how the support forum is still running. If I go to http://www.apple.com/support I get nothing, but googling topics allows me to see em.

Just to clarify...
Did you know that by purchasing it in iTunes, you are purchasing the iOS version of Pages and Numbers? If you wanted the Mac version, it should be downloaded from the Mac App Store.
If you DID want to download a copy for an iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, then try purchasing these apps on one of those devices rather than iTunes and see if it works.

As of yesterday 3/1/2015 T'bird stopped reading mail rationally on ONE of my two Windows 7 PC's and when aksed to check for new email retrieves the SAME message

no matter how many times I ask T'bird to check for new mail I get back ANOTHER copy of the same message dated 7:28am and NO MAIL received after that reaches my INBOX. On my other PC running Windows 7 only ONE copy of the 7:28am transmission arrives as does all subsequent email sent to me at this address... both PC's are protected by Avast anti-virus software. Turning the rogue PC off and on did not help nor did uploading and installing an updated version of T'bird.

Are the setup the same? same accounts, same folders, same messages, same filters same add-ons?
If that the case make a copy of the good profile and replace the bad one with that.
