My iTunes wont download my purchases error (-50)

It just wont work. I have 8 downloads pending and none of them will work.
iTunes is not blocked on my firewall.
Ive tried restarting my computer.
I just want to be able to download the things I paid for fair and square!!!

I found that if you close Itunes, go into your save directory (where you actually save your data), go into the download folder and delete every .tmp file in there. then close explorer and re-open Itunes, and let it try to download these files again. There has to be a problem with the latest version of Itunes because I never had this problem before. It's ridiculous. It's almost like it's set up to if it gets any delay while downloading, whatsover, it will error out to the (-50) and eventually, it will not let you download the file at all. Just delete the temporary download and have it start from scratch until Apple's geniuses can fix the stupid problem. (don't let them get away with saying "It's your firewall" BS...because it worked like a charm for months and months with the exact same firewall I had. I didn't change it....what changed??? Itunes did, and does all the time, then instead of beta testing it to make sure it works before they release it, they let us be the guinea pigs who have to put up with all the error downloads and such. "Oops, we are so sorry, thanks for being our tester's that we didnt' have to hire to get the results we got from you for free....and at your expense.....our next release should have a fix for you. Good luck".

  • Itunes wont download keep getting error

i keep trying to download itunes for my ipod nano and i keep getting this error (HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\SHAREDDLLS) what do i do

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

  • Installed 8.1- now itunes wont download my purchases

I've tried numerous of time to get my downloads but, it keeps saying that the store is temporarly unavailabe. But i can go to the store normally.
    Anyone else have this problem?

My computer is a Mac, but I have been having a similar problem. I purchased songs that wouldn't download. The download was interrupted with a message referring to "a required iTunes component (-4204)" that was missing.
I have received the same message when attempting to sync my iPod to my computer, and even to play songs purchased on iTunes on my computer.
When I attempted to synch, it said that I wasn't authorized to use the songs (more than 1,000) I had purchased on my computer. I was offered a chance to reauthorize with my current password, but then it didn't recognize my password.
    Help!

  • ITunes stopped working,C++ library error, removed iTunes, now iTunes wont download

Have been using iTunes for years on laptop with windows vista (32 bit).  recently started getting itunes errors such as C++ runtime library error and  R6034 error.  Itunes stopped working.  Read the boards, I deleted itunes and other products from the trouble shooting directions (e.g., bonjour, mobile me etc), and tried to download itunes again.  now itunes wont download (I have 20 MB/140MB available memory).  stuck at this point - Itunes not on laptop, but cant download new itunes.....

Sorry for the delay.  Tried running the fixit program (1 time via internet explorer, 1 time via firefox), the firefox attempt downloaded the fixit program, but when trying to run it I get a pop up window that indicates that the troubleshooter is not available and that the fixit program is invalid or has expired and a new website is given for the new program (same happened with the internet exploere attempt- it directed me to the same window and to the same website)......the website is:
    http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/
there are several buttons to choose from and reviewed them- I found the uninstall fix that you described in the windows button.  I tried to download and run the fix from both internet explorer and firefox, however after downloading, when i run the program I eventually get the same window that says that the troubleshooter is not available......

  • Itunes wont open at all, error message : quicktime was not found .... please reinstall ... i did that but no luck this only seems to have happened since the 10.4 update, im on windows 7 ..

Can you start QuickTime on your computer?
You'll probably have to search for the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and use it to remove QuickTime Player and iTunes. Then download and install the iTunes again.

  • Itunes wont download because I dont have 10.6.8 or greater. But I just installed the snowlion disk thing and my macbook is a 10.6.8 version so how do I get itunes to download?

Itunes wont download because I dont have 10.6.8 or greater. But I just installed the snowlion disk thing and my macbook is a 10.6.8 version so how do I get itunes to download?

    Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
    Do this first...
Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
    Snow Leopard Tech Specs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    Other countries...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard.
Be sure to make a Backup of your Current System Before Upgrading...

  • Q: i have recently aquired an iPhone 3GS and need iTunes do activate it.But iTunes wont download onto my computer

Q: i have recently aquired an iPhone 3GS and need iTunes do activate it.But iTunes wont download onto my computer. I am running Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Please HELP!!

I'd first try experimenting with a different browser. If you've been using IE for the download, try Firefox instead (or vice versa).
If no luck there, there's some other suggestions in the following document. (You're not getting the error message, but your problem here falls into the same general class of download trouble.)
iTunes: Windows reports that "iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application"

  • My facetime wont turn on in my settings for iphone 4......also itunes wont download new update 4.3.2.....plz help

my facetime wont turn on in my settings for iphone 4......also itunes wont download new update 4.3.2.....plz help

Had exact same problem. Rang Apple support and various apple repairers. All of them said in effect, too bad, you'll have to lose everything since your last backup. It's a work phone with very important stuff on it and the latest backup was on a computer that had a virus. Convergence of crap :/
Happened to talk to a friend who said to try replacing the battery. Did that. Problem fixed. All data saved.
To all Apple support people: rather than say 'once it's in recovery mode you lose all data' try saying 'replace your battery and see if that works first'!!!!

  • A movie i rented on itunes wont download now what do i do?

a movie i rented from itunes wont download now what do i do?

    Hey Patiencepieart!
While there is not enough information in the post about your circumstance to be able to say for sure, but here are some tips from the iTunes movie rental FAQ that may be helpful to you:
iTunes Store: Movie rental frequently asked questions (FAQ)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1657
Where can I watch my movie rental?
You can watch your movie rental on your computer, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch (with iOS 3.1.3 or later), iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd, 4th, or 5th generation), or on your TV using your Apple TV. You can watch HD movie rentals on your computer, iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or with Apple TV.
How many times can I view the movie?
Once you start watching your movie, you can view the rented movie as many times as you wish within the 24-hour (or 48-hour) window.
What happens to my rented movie if I don't watch it?
If you don't watch your rented movie, it will expire in 30 days and disappear from your iTunes library. You will need to rent it again in order to watch it.
Can I play my rental on more than one device?
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
