im not sure why my itunes doesnt work anymore, it worked fine last night, i have been seaching he support pages but cant find anything that works for mine.
i have even uninstalled the apple products on my computer and tried to re install them but nothing works for me. can anyone help with fixing this? i use itunes for everything i can even play music,

if i run itunes in compatibility mode, it works but sometimes it crashes. i think its because when i run it in compatibility mode, its for a earlier version of windows, theres no option for windows 8

when I plug my iPhone in to my computer, iTunes doesn't recognize it as a device. I have deleted and re-downloaded iTunes twice which seems to fix the problem temporarily but then the next time I plug my phone in, the device is not recognized.
What happens if you go to iTunes > File > Devices, do you get the option to Sync iPhone?

Using Adobe 11 reader, now comes up with an error, once file is opened. 'Invalid plugin detected, Adobe reader will quit. Closes the program so cannot view PDF files. Running windows 7. I have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe still the same. HELP
Sounds like something has been added into the Reader folder. I would recommend uninstalling, running http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, removing any left over parts of the Reader folder (this might have been the problem), reboot, and reinstall. Hopefully that solves the problem. For future question about Reader, you should consider asking in the Reader forum, this is not it.

iTunes movies won't play. (Previously others worked fine.) When I open the movies i get the window "Cannot Open". Internet connection is fine, payment went thru fine. Please advise...thx!

I have some good news but I still am concerned about why this happened?
Using iTunes, I deleted then re-synced the video files that wouldn't play and now all of them play again.
As I don't know why this problem occured, I am concerned about it happening again...it is NOT fun to have to delete and reload all of these vids, but, at least I know that there is some kind of "workaround"!
If anyone has an idea of WHY this happened and, perhaps how to prevent it in the future, I would appreciate that input despite the fact that all my vids now play again.

Mr. Wolsky's response: This message comes up when the application is launched!!! If that's true you need to contact Apple tech support. If it comes up prior to that you need to contact Apple or an Apple authorized repair center.
Tom - once I have the FW400 connected to the external hard drive and see the LaCie drive is active on my Desktop, I launched FCE 3.5. The "Device Removal" message appears right after I double click the FCE icon to launch and before any messages appear about whether or not the software can locate a camera or scratch disk.
I called Apple Care last evening (long night) and they discussed the issue with me. The representative said they were unable to help me with this issue because there are departments set up to handle specific applications and that is where I need to go.
The Rep forwarded me to the area that specializes in Final Cut applications. Once I got there, the technician who answered wouldn't talk to me about the problem I was having without authorizing a charge of $199 to my credit card for this one case or $799 for lifetime case support.
He said there are "free alternatives" by going on the Disussions Board and talking about the problem there. So here I am full circle.
As I said in the other post, I moved everything to my Mac HD drive which is not what I want to do, but it's working fine so far and I haven't had any error messages or problems yet.
I don't want to "give up" on this other issue though, but I'm not paying $200 to talk to someone about this. Was Apple Care wrong to transfer me?

Yes the problem appears to only happen with the drive attached. Here's the scenarios:
Drive connected to iMac(FW 800) & Camcorder connected to iMac (FW 400)- FCE will not recognize camcorder at opening. I continue on, software opens fine but I cannot import video or work with camera at all because it's unrecognized.
Camcorder connected only to iMac (FW 400) - FCS will recognize camcorder, but tells me scratch disk is missing and I have to find it or name another location.
Drive connected only to iMac (FW 800) - Camcorder not recognized at opening, continue on, not recognized in application if I turn it on and try importing, etc.
Daisychain Camcorder to LaCie drive (FW 400 into LaCie), LaCie connected to iMac (FW 800) - Drive recognized on desktop and Camcorder turned on, I launch FCE application, Device Removal error message. Unable to locate camcorder or scratch disk. -
I cannot open any tabs on Firefox. It opens to my homepage, but there is no line for a URL address. Therefore, there is no way to type in a new URL address. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice and it has not helped. I am a former PC user and just switched to Mac.
Try restore as new using computer iTunes.

Itunes will not open on my computer. It was working just fine. I get an error message "the program can't start because MSVCR80.ddl is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling to fix program." I have tried this. I then get the error message "Error 7(windows error 126)"
I also get the following message during the download of itunes"Apple mobile device failed to start. verify you have suffcient privileges to start system services.'Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

You can quickly see if there is a problem in reporting the AirPort card by going to the apple in the upper left corner, About This Mac, More Info, System report and look at the information on Hardware and the AirPort report...make sure it is not indicating a fault.
If all looks ok, try removing the network information and reentering it and see if the AirPort responds. -
My Apple TV is showing a pink screen. It was fine yesterday. Changed the HDMI cable and this was not the issue so need help troubleshooting thx
