My itunes wont sync songs from a differenet apple id

My friend put some songs and games on my sons ipod and now when I try to back them up on his itunes, they dont show up.
I assume this is because they are from her itunes account.  She gave me her login/password to use on the itunes to see if that would back them up, but I'm worried this might mess something up.

You need to rip/import songs from CDs into iTunes. I am not sure what you meant by "sync CDs to itunes" but you do not sync CDs with iTunes. Please follow the below steps to transfer mucis from CDs to iPhone 3GS -
If the songs are already transfered in itunes and you can listen to them when the CD is not in the CD drive, you can skip to "Transfering Music to 3GS".
Importing Songs
1. Insert the CD into iTunes.
2. iTunes will show the CD in the left side panel under Devices. It will also try to recognize the CD if connected to the Internet. If it is a commercial CD, then iTunes will recognize the tracks and fill them up. Otherwise, you will get Track 1, Track 2, etc. You can also manually enter the CD data if iTunes fails to do so. Click on the CD Name on the right left side pan and click on Track 1 and select Get Info. Then enter the Title, Artist Album etc. Click on next when done Track 1 and do so for Track 2.
3. When all information is entered, click on the Import Setting button on the lower right side. Choose either AAC or mp3 encoder. Choose a Setting -  I chosen Custom and the highest possible quality. You need to choose based on available disk space.
4. then Click Import. iTunes will import the songs in his library.
Transfering Music to 3GS
5. Then attach your 3GS to the computer using the USB cable. the 3GS will be shown in the devices section. Click on it and choose Music from the menu on the top section. Make sure Sync Music is checked. Now check the songs/artists you like to transfer to your 3GS.
6. Click Sync.
And that's it. Your songs will be transfered to your iPhone 3GS.
It's a long post but frankly, the steps are very intutive and natural.

  • Itunes wont download songs from other countries

i would like to download songs from different countries but says "itunes could not connect to the music store an unknown error occured (-3237)" so if can help me please do.

    Goku...
Unfortunately each Country has their own approved music, or even movies for the matter, that should not be circumvented.
Sure your not attempting to steal anything but there is something else to consider. Illegal possession may be considered "Contraband" in your Country so lets not go there. Please!

  • Itunes wont sync pictures from my phone to laptop

I've read that some people are having this problem also but I have yet to find a solution so I'm begging desperately for help! When I connect my iPhone 5 to my laptop, it will sync everything but the photos and videos. I get error 54. Please help. I have a ton of photos and videos that are eating up all the gb on my phone.

    Hi mommyc33,
You can import your pictures and videos directly into your photo application in Windows so that you have a back up of your images before you delete them from your iPhone.  Here's how:

  • Itunes wont sync songs to ipod - didnt have this problem when i had xp

this is the message i get -
Attempting to copy to the disk 'RYAN'S IPOD' failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation
iTunes could not save to your Music Folder because you do not have write access. Check the permissions on your Music Folder and folders in your Music Folder, then try copying this file again.
i keep getting this after i go and check the permissions and make sure everything is the way it should be... i didnt have this problem before upgrading to vista
    toshiba   Windows Vista
    toshiba   Windows Vista

I'm not sure if this will do anything, but maybe you could find the iTunes Music folder, right click - properties, and unchecked read only if it's checked.

  • Itunes wont sync my music on 5S Apple YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM

    Hi,
Apple YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM !!!!
Having tried all proposed solutions found in the communities, but none of all didn't work !
I had no problem at all on my previous 4S with IO 7.0.2 , but since last week I get my brand new 5S with IO 7.0.4 & its only a mess to sync all my music on this phone . Latest Itunes is installed on my computer.....
All music albums are on my 5S, but marked with this red circle with a red dot in the middle ...
It's a shame that no solutions works & that Apple didn't react to help all the customers to fix this bug!
I hope that someone @ Apple will read this ....

This may sound like a terrible solution, but have you tried switching the file format to .m4a (itunes default format) on all of your music?
If not, it just might work.

Connect your phone to itunes as you have been doing.
In the sidebar, select you phone and then on the main part of the iTunes window, select Music.
Check the Sync Music box and then you can either sync all music, or select the tracks/albums/artists/genres as you wish.
Once selected, at the bottom right on the maon iTunes window, select Sync.
Music will now be copied to you phone.

ios 7 synced songs from my itunes library that I didnt want on my phone and I don't know how to delete them. On my phone, next to each of those songs, theres a cloud with an arrow going through it. How do I delete those songs? I can't delete the songs from my computer because they aren't in a specific playlist, they just got randomly added to my songs on my phone.

I just found out that I am having the same problem!! It is driving me nuts. Now I know why I am running out of space on my iPhone. It's ghosting the others songs, until you see them when you go to sync. Hopefully, someone has an answer. I have gone through every HELP subject and discussion board I could find on the situation.

  • I am trying to sync songs from itunes to my ipad and can't find my library on my ipad.

I am trying to sync songs from itunes to my ipad and can't find my library on my ipad.  Can you help?

Where are you looking on the iPad ? Your synced music (and that which you download from iTunes directly on the iPad) should go into the Music app

  • My ipod wont sync music from my computer but somtimes it shows up that the music is on it but when i look on my ipod there is only one song

My ipod wont sync music from my computer but sometimes it says in the summary that music is on it but when i look on my ipod there is only one song.

  • Itunes wont sync music to iphone 5c

itunes wont sync music to iphone 5c, skips music portion of sync and gets stuck on "waiting for changes to be applied"
also wont remove cloud downloaded previously purchased songs during sync, i have restored the phone from my old one that was destroyed, but other than that sync pretty much doesnt work at all for photos or anything else.
plenty of available space on brand new phone
    IOS 7.0.4
    itunes 11.1.3.8

After days of getting frustrated I finally found a solution: Don't use itunes to sync music. After going through pages of possible solutions (restores, syncing albums one at a time, removing all music, deactivating accounts, making a call while syncing and various other things) as well as trying to contact apple support (Which was a joke--They wanted to charge me $19.00 to get help for a problem with their software), I change my Google search terms to "how to sync music without itunes" and  I found a program called CopyTrans Manager for free. It only took me a few minutes to add the new tracks to my iphone. It automatically organizes it the same way itunes would and you have the option to make your own playlists. Best of all it synced the first try! Itunes is now dead to me. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all the free time I have since I'm not going to be spending hours banging my head at my computer ready to throw my phone out the window.

  • Can I sync the songs from two different Apple IDs (HK and JP) into one iPhone?

I want to buy some songs from a HK Apple ID and a JP Apple ID.
I just hope the songs of two Apple ID can appear in one iPhone.
But I don't want can I sync the songs from two different Apple IDs (HK and JP) into one iPhone.

Are you currently in Japan or Hong Kong ? You have to be in a country (and have a billing address in that country on your account) to buy or download from its store, that is included in the store's terms.
You can sync content from different accounts from your computer's iTunes library.

  • ITunes Match deleted songs from my hard drive. I had to re-rip them. How can I stop this from happening?

iTunes Match deleted songs from my hard drive. How can I prevent this from happening if I try it again?

iTunes Match can in no way be considered a backup service, this is due to the inexact nature of the 'matching process' (see https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4112, for more detail).
Loss of files from a Disk is certainly possible through media failure.  However, the extent of iTunes Match capacity is solely to influence the content of the cloud.  Perhaps there was a coincident, or pre-existing, failure of the disk which was simply exposed by the iTunes Match interrogation of the disk content.
There are certainly other services which depending upon your goal may work well.  For example, Google Play with gBeats IOS App works very well.  My use of Match is to synchronise across several computers and to drive Apple TV and an IOS device - other IOS devices still use sync for specific music and are complimented by gBeats for access to the full library when local mobile signal strength is high.
The strong advice to always start with a secure backup remains but if your primary concern is iTunes Match interfering with physical disk content you can relax - it simply does not have this ability.  (Apology to Sherlock, further investigation required).
