My itunes wont sync with gmail

why?

I cant either sync new contacts i have in iphone to gmail contacts. All new contacts i write to iphone do not apear after i sync with gmail. In fact i 'd like to do the opposit. Replace information on gmail with the information i have in the iphone.
I already have more than 1000 contacts synced with gmail contacts but theres a problem with the new ones.
Can somebody help?

If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.

A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.

Purchased movie from Itunes wont sync with Iphone but rental movie will????

I purchased a movie from Itunes and it shows up in my library movies but it wont sync with my iphone. Before I bought the movie i rented a movie to make sure it works and I liked the format so I know that it can auto sync with the iphone. In they Sync section of Itunes under videos it only has 2 headings. Rental movies and TV shows. There is no option for Movies at all so it does not even come up to transfer it over to the phone like with the rental.
I have solved the problem temporarily but would love help on a proper fix. If I check the box manual merge music and videos on the summary page I can get the movie over by dragging it from the library and dropping it into the phone but it still does not show up under the video tab but is on the phone. This then deletes all my music and I have to manually sync that as well.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am using a mac book with an iphone and a move in Itunes that I actually paid for - from itunes. I just cant figure it!

I think the layout in sync could be improved for movies perhaps putting Purchased Movies right after Rental Movies. When I am on that tab, Rental Movies (I have none and it tells me so) and then TV shows are visible on the screen with lots of blank space under. I had to scroll down to find the movie sync option (which may seem pretty obvious - but with all the white space after TV shows, I didn't notice that the scroll bar had room to scroll further). Yes, I feel a little stupid (and grateful to you for making the solution so obvious), but I do think the tab layout contributed to my ineptness.

ok, anyone else having this issue, go to music tab with your phone plugged in. even though its a new phone it says its synced with another itunes. you simply have to agree to the deleting(of nothing) and the replacing it with your current itunes library.

I'd like to add some info;
iTunes and iPhone are both up to date. Phone is NOT jailbroken.
I've tried the iFun Box "fix" however while it allows iTunes to once again recongonize my phone it only works the one time meaning I'd have to erase and re-sync my entire music library evertime I want to add music or movies. Ridiculous no?
And when using the iFun Box "fix" I don't have the music database file which would alledgedly allow me to keep my music without re-syncing the whole thing.
I can't believe there is no easy fix for this yet.
This is a new phone and I'm incredibly ticked off right now. I'm not sure why Apple's own product wont' work with its own software.

I'm not sure what happened, but iTunes won't sync with my iPhone 4 anymore at all. I changed my DNS server settings on my Mac and iPhone (because of stupid Comcast) and now I can't sync using wifi or usb. I reset all my settings to how it was before and it still doesn't work. I'm all out of ideas and its starting to pisss me off so any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

i found the one that worked best for me was step 5 because right after the most recent itunes update, my 5s only came up on my pc. the instructions for step 5 are a bit tedious but it works great. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538

Updated to 7 now itunes wont sync with phone

I updated my pone to ios 7 and now it wont sync to my itunes on my computer which is also a mac.. i just keeps popping up a message saying my phone cannont be used because it needs itunes version 11.1 or later... my phone says all my software is up to date andmy mac is up to date as well.. HELP!

It's maybe because Windows 7 uses a MTP driver instead of the USBAAPL by default, and what you need is an 'Apple Mobile Device USB Driver' which you might not have in 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' (check it and see).
Update the driver by expanding 'Portable Devices' from the list, right click Apple iPhone/iPhone and select 'Update Driver Software'. Then select 'Browse My computer...'
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers - then hit 'Next'.

A few days ago my iTunes wiped my whole library except my purchases from the iTunes store.
Luckily i was able to recover my library by using a old library file but ever since then i've not been able to sync my iPod
When i connect my iPod the iTunes and anything else that is running on my computer goes real slow and i've tried reinstalling iTuns and restoring my iPod but it's still happening.
When my iPod comes up on iTunes after a while it says "can't be synced.the required folder cannot be found".
it's also coming up with "attempting to copy to the disk IPOD Ipo" failed.this disk could not be read from or written to."
any ideas how to fix this?

If you are trying to use automatic syncing, you may need to set it up, so that iTunes knows what to sync.
Select the shuffle in iTunes. You see a row of "tabs" (buttons) starting with Summary. Click on Music next to Summary. This is the shuffle's Music tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the shuffle.
Check the box for Sync Music. If your iTunes music library is really small and fits on the shuffle, you can choose to sync Entire music library. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres, then select (checkmark) the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres that you want on the shuffle, from the lists below.
Here's one convenient way to set it up. In your iTunes library, create a new regular playlist; call it something like "iPod Songs" (or whatever you want). From your main iTunes music library, load that iPod Songs playlist with ALL the songs you want on the shuffle. On the shuffle's Music tab, find and checkmark that iPod Songs playlist (under Playlists). When you click Apply, those songs sync to the shuffle. Going forward, to update songs on the shuffle, just update that iPod Songs playlist in iTunes (add and/or remove songs), and then connect your shuffle. iTunes automatically updates the shuffle with the same changes. If the shuffle is already connected, click the Sync button to update the shuffle.

What format are they and what iPod are you using? Some formats that play in iTunes are not compatible with the 1st generation iPod shuffle, Aiff and Apple Lossless for instance. Apple Lossless is not supportted on the 2nd generation shuffle:

I have been trying to sync my itunes, i plug my phone in and it startes to sync but then what looks like it freezes what can i do to move this a long?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Wont sync with gmail

Just got my phone today and everything works fine except for the email. The problem is that I cant see messages newer then 2009.06.14? So i have all my messages except for the new ones? Any suggestions?

This is nothing to be done with nokia. This setting belies with your gmail
GO to gmail - > login -> Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP Tab -> POP Download:
At this place you haev three options as below:
1. Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)
2. Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on
3. Disable POP
You need to select Options 1 and save settings. try synchronizing your mobile then. it should work all fine.
Try this and please let all know if this worked

My itunes wont sync with my ipod touch, it comes up with the message -42404

can someone help please? when i open uo my itunes the message :
'A required itunes component is not installed. Please re-install itunes (-42404)'
is shown and i have uninstalled itunes 2 times and re installed it and its still doing the same thing!
