My iWeb navigation links quit working

I have been running a website for over 3 years - we update monthly (or bi monthly) - tonight I updated and the navigation links are no longer working.
Web addy is www.thestaffordknot.com
Thanks for any help.
Lynn

This is covering the links :

It's in the nav layer.
Select it and do Command-Shift-B to move it to the back.

  • Iweb navigation links not working

Hi there i was wondering if someone could help. I have done my website in iWeb 3.04 (601) The navigation links on my website are not working. I have tried turning the navigation menu on and off, it worked temporarily and then stopped. The website is www.cut2fitness.com Id really appreciate if anyone knows what I can do?
    MAny thanks!

Your navigation is covered by this image which has a lot of wasted space around it...
You need to crop it down to size. The image is 810 x 862 but the area with the text is only about 350 x 400.

  • IWeb Page Navigational Links not working with Internet Explorer 7

I'm hoping someone can help me out here? My wife created her 1st website using iWeb. I am testing the sites functionality before we publish it. All the pages and links work fine on Firefox and Safari for windows. However, the page navigational links are not working on Internet Explorer 7. All I see is a dot to the left side of where the page links should be. When I start the site in IE7 I get an Active X script warning and I am asked if I want to allow the script to run; to which I reply yes. After I allow the Active X script the dot to the left side of where the page links should be disappears, but the links do not appear.
Is there anyway to resolve this? Most of the members of her club have Windows based PCs and are using IE7.

Yes, Javascript is running on IE7 and other java script applets appear to be working with the exception of the Navbar script.
It would be great if my wife's friends used a "real" browser, unfortunately 70% of the people on the web use IE7, so this is a real concern if we can't get this to work. I'v seen other iWeb site on IE7 that seem to function fine, so I'm not sure what the issue is here.

  • Navigation links not working on some pages

Since updating to iWeb '08, I have had problems with the main navigations links on most of my pages once I leave the Home Page. I'll go to the site, click on a Navigation link at the top of the page, and when the new page loads, the nav links at the top of the newly loaded page (which are the same as the ones on the home page) don't all work.
    Anyone got a clue?
    Site: www.faithmountainaz.com
    Thanks, all!

That was a hopeful. But the graphic is NOT blocking the nav bar. I even went through all the pages to make sure it was out of the way.
Bummer. That would have been an easy fix!

  • Navigation Link not working

    Hi
i'm very very VERY new to all this so please, if you can help me i'd appreciate it if it can be explained with as little jargon as possible.
Am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 and have got to the stage where I have designed the first basic bits of my first web page using one of DW's templates/custom built pages. I have a few navigational links down the right hand side of the page and managed to get two of the links to take me to the same page with a different heading (specific content yet to be added) but one of the links just refuses to work despite seemingly having copied identical code.
    The code is as follows;
    <div class="sidebar1">
        <ul class="nav">
        <li><a href="homepage.html">Roisin Byrne</a></li>
<li><a href="mickjones.html">The Clash's Mick Jones on Justice for the 96</a></li>
        <li><a href="kayvannovak.html">Kayvan Novak</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Artist Taxi Driver</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Slinkachu</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Dandy Films</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Tracey Moberley</a></li>
          <li><a href="thecavern.html">The Cavern</a></li>
        </ul>
So I've made a total of four navigational links, and the "kayvannovak.html" link won't work on the saved homepage.
Any ideas if there's something missing in the code?
    Thanks
    Ox

There's nothing missing in the code. The code is correct, I don't know about the spelling of your link though, I'll assume that is correct.
What happens when you click the link?
It could be that the link is hidden behind something, which will cause it not to work.
We would need to see the working page to help you any further. If you need that help please go ahead and upload the site somewhere and provide a link to it.

  • Navigation Link not working from save search result

    Hello Experts,
We have a requirement in our application which is created from scratch, I have implemenetd save search  and its working fine, we have some navigation links in result. these links does not work from save search results moreover it works with normal search.
Can anybody help me out to achieve it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Madhu Omer

    Hi Madhu,
If you want to trigger cross-component navigation to an overview page, then the following conditions should be satisfied:
    1. Your last outbound plug calls method fire_outbound_plug( ).
    2. The collection passed in fire_outbound_plug( ) contains two entities - a navigation descriptor as the first entity and a root object of the object you want to navigate to as the second entity.
In your case, is condition 2 satisfied? You can create a navigation descriptor by calling the following method passing its two mandatory importing parameters as indicated:
    CL_CRM_UI_DESCRIPTOR_OBJ_SRV=>CREATE_UI_OBJECT_BASED(
        EXPORTING
IV_UI_OBJECT_TYPE = * UI object type of object to which you want to navigate *
            IV_UI_OBJECT_ACTION = 'B'            "for Display
If you keep debugging the standard outbound plugs, then you will see that at some location, SAP will surely be inserting this navigation descriptor object in the collection as first object in the collection when calling fire_outbound_plug( ).
If you still can't trigger navigation, please mention the BOL objects you are working with, the component you have created and where you have used it.

  • Iweb navigation bar not working in Internet explorer 8

    iweb 09
I published my site to the sites folder on my imac OSX 10.6.4
Built my own navigation bar and the links work fine in Safari & Firefox
The only portion of the Nav bar that works in Explorer 8 is the Map Navigation which links to an external page (map quest)
All The links work in Explorer 7 (but none of the images show up)
    Anyone have a solution
    I'm loosing it!

External links tend to be more robust than internal. Having said that there is no good reason why this should happen in IE V8. I've certainly never had this problem.
If they definitely don't work for you then try recreating your navigation using the URL for each page.
What images don't show up in IE 7?

  • IWeb 09 links not working in IE8

    Hi,
Can anyone please help me with this as its really doing my head in now! lol!
I have just built a 6 page website using iweb 09, all the links to external sites work great, and all the links to the other pages on my site also work great, on all platforms such as iPhone, iPod, Safari etc, but when i test it using IE 8 (using the develop menu in Safari) all my links work apart from all the links to my other pages. This only happens on only 2 of the 6 pages so i cant see whats wrong as the links have all been built the same way and work on Firefox and Safari etc.
    thanks for your help!
    Jay

    Hi Koeklin
its only on my test site right now as its still in development, but the address is www.d2d.jaycreative.co.uk
i've found that all the links work in IE8 apart from the pages "about MND" and if you click the "click to enlarge" the page that pops up has issues with the links, but only the links to other pages on the site, the external links work perfect!
    thanks!

  • Iweb page links not working??

HELP!! I am very new to MAC and even newer to IWEB.
I have tried making a website, and part way through decided to delete the welcome page and add a new welcome page. Now for some reason the page links are not working on the welcome page??

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Are you referring to the links in the navbar? Try using the File->Publish All to MobileMe menu option. Also make sure there are no items that are overlapping the navbar area.

  • IWeb 09 links not working correctly using IE8

Hello all, I built a website within using iweb 09 and hosted it on Godaddy. The problem that i have has to do with my hyper links directing me to the Home page. this seems to only happen when I use IE8. If I use Safari all of the hyperlinks seem to work correctly. I have provided a link to the website below. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You're referring to the Home links at the bottom of each page? Are you using the Inspector/Hyperlink Link to on of my pages option in iWeb? If so try using Link to an External Page and enter the full URL to the Home page. That.s often more reliable.

  • IWeb Navigation Tabs Not Working

    Hi,
I just posted my webpage to my school network folder... and the navigation tabs on the "About Me" page are not working.. they work on every other page. I thought maybe it was the page, so I deleted it and created a whole new "About Me" page and ran into the same problem. The site is http://people.clemson.edu/~lindsaa/GenEd_ePortfolio/HomePage.html

    Bonjour
The notebook image was too high. You had to lower it (15 pixels down).
I see you changed your template. An advice : use only one template for all the pages of your website

  • ATTN APPLE GUYS iWeb comments link not working on published photos site

When you publish a photo site (theme black) to mobileme and check the allow comments check box the link does not work on the published site. You cannot add comments.

This is a users help forum and people from Apple do not look at these pages. If you have problems, then you need to contact Apple directly and let them know.
Lots of others here have had problems with comments not being allowed on blogs and it is not just one theme either, it seems to be across the board. There are lots of threads about it here and I believe some have contacted Apple and they say they are working on fixing it. It is to do with the transition from .Mac to MMe.

  • Links quit working.V9

I have created several documents with links to various documents on my computer, .doc, index.htm files etc. They have worked fine up until recently. When I click on them I get a message saying windows can not find the file. I first noticed this happen a couple of weeks ago in Acrobat 9, but if I used reader 9 they worked fine. Now they will not work in either. I have refreshed the links. (recreated).

Yes it was because of V 9.3.4, I un-installed Reader 9.3.4 and installed Reader V9.3 and that took care of my problem. Now I need to figure out how to down grade my Acrobat from 9.4.3.

When you publish to a folder you will get two things - a site folder with the same name as you gave your site within iWeb and a separate index.html file. You actually need to upload both of these to your hosts server to ensure that everything gets uploaded and your file structure stays in place.
If you upload the contents separately, there is a risk that your file structure will not be the same and that some files will not get uploaded - namely the scripts file for your nav bar.
Try uploading both files together as suggested and seeing if this makes a difference.

  • Picture UNDER Navigation link Problem? now links don't work

Sorry for the repost need to add a few things
Hi- I am having a problem with using a background image "under" the navigation links??
    Here is what I did
(Thanks to James S. who taught me this trick I:
optimized a full page jpg and dragged it to my web pages only 34K
    2) sized it to fit
    3) sent to to "background"
    and it works fine
    HOWEVER
when I stretch the bacground image UP under the navigation links the links no longer work?
    what am I doing wrong?
if I lower the background image to just BELOW the links they work but it looks bad.
How can I create a full page background that is also under the links without making it a bloated PNG (using the background image fill command in i web)
    Thanks in advance!
    Jim
I actually had it working fine under most of my pages then when I "uploaded all to.mac it stopped???
http://web.mac.com/videolounge the Rate Card" page works after lowering image????

    Hi James
I see you've helped a number of people with iWeb problems so would appreciate your valuable advice please.
I'm having problems with iWeb links not working so wondered if you could help or point me in the right direction please
This is my very first web site and all links work fine in iWeb, but some of the links are not working when I publish my site, so I'd really appreciate you having a look at my site please and give me your very valuable advice on how to fix this please.
Someone suggested emptying the browser's cache which I did, but it's still not working. I have made sure that all the link boxes have been brought to the front and any pictures etc near the links have been sent to the back.
My temporary site is at http://web.mac/gngraphics and if you were to click on anywhere in the Home page it's fine, but if you were to click on exhibitions/events, once you're in that page none of the links work, and it's the same for most of the others, but not all.
Please let me know if you need any other information, and thanking you in advance for taking the time and hope you can help me.
