My JMF can play .rm and .rmvb vedio

Althouth Java document have not say JMF support rm and rmvb code
but JMF also can play them.
At first, we need a code software, I use StormCodec which include Media Player Classic �CRealMedia Codec �C QuickTime Codec and so on( Here is official website,http://www.honghao168.com/soft/StormCodec6.04.08.exe, you can download it. choose Chinese or English to install it.Maybe you can choose another include realMedia code soteware, i don't know whether or not suport it. Althouth your computer have installed realplayer, you still need code software.In this time, Installing StormCodec ,your windows media player also can play realMedia.
we use JFM to play it.If you open ".rm" or ".rmvb" media file,JMF would say "Failse to realize". Now we change to "mp3"�CJMF play it.
but i try to change to ".avi ", failed. That is so strange. Maybe JMF together with code software can play another media.
If you find JMF can play same Media whithout java support �Cdon't forget tell us .

Actually, i figured part of it out. When I'm playing itunes to my Apple Tv and Airport Express stations around the house, then turn on the mirroring, the itunes volume bar goes all the way to zero. I can bring it back up manually, and it will play on Apple TV, but it won't broadcast to multiple Airport Express speakers, the way it was doing before I turned on mirroring. It seems that mirroring turns off the airport express stations.

I did find an error log related to the error code and tried all suggestions on the list of recommendations, still no luck
I definitely am running OS X10.5.8 (hopefully will be updating later on this month)
I tried several brand new discs from the same box, still no luck.
My last option is to go out and try a different brand, guess I'll go with Verbatim this time but I think I'll poke around some more before buying 20 more new discs.

My MacBook cannot play avi nor rmvb format movies, when i checked up in apple.com, i found a supporting software called XiVD( cannot remember the spelling), after following the instructions of it, i can watch movies in avi, but not rmvb, and the movie wasn't played with sound, can anyone help?

Airplay is a wireless streaming protocol. It allows content to be pushed from the iPad through the Apple TV onto your connected HDTV.
If she wants to see the iPad displayed on the big screen and/or play games that involves mirroring. As long as it's an iPad 2 (or later) then you will be fine. More info on both has been referened below

I can play movies and hear audio for them from my library. My music however can't be played or even locate?

Howdy all. Have got most recent iTunes for Windows.
Have just started adding movies to my library. These play back with great audio just fine.
My music however, keeps coming up with an error saying the songs can't be located, and do i want to browse my pc to find the location.
Can anyone assist? I thought the same library caters for both music/video etc.?

How do I emulate so I can play Insaniquarium and bejeweled?

Can anyone recommend a good program for this? I had it on my old windows box, and forgot about it. Lately I've wanted to play it again but guess what? Insaniquarium is not mac-friendly. I have crossover games by codeweavers, but it claims wine is insufficient or some such. Which is odd since I don't have wine anymore. IT did nothing but bug up my computer, so I totally wiped it.
Can anyone suggest a good program that will let me play popcap games on my mac?

Bejeweled is available for Mac. Insaniquarium isn't. I run windows on my MacBook using Parallels Desktop. Apples own Bootcamp is included with OS X and you'll need a copy of windows with either.

Best way to make a short movie that can play back and forth smooth?

I have a short .flv clip (video) of a shoe rotating 360 degrees.
The clip is less then 4 seconds and about 320kb in size and I'm using flash CS4.
I'm trying to build some sort of a player that lets the user scrub through the movie (back and forth).
The player is also supposed to be able to play the clip back or forth at a speed selected by the user.
I have read kglad's reply about "How to play backwards flv imported in timeline on flash cs3?", and the code works perfect, except that the video is not playing smooth when played backwards. I guess when playing normal, the next frames are by default buffered, but when playing backwards they are not...
Which is the best way of doing this?.
Maybe it has already been done? Has anyone heard about something similar?

Please find the file attached. I changed the file extension from .fla to .eps.
(I also added one with the extension .mpg)
Basically I just want to be able to rotate the shoe in either direction,
but then I also would like the user to be able to "spin" it.
Meaning that when the user turns the shoe around, the speed is recorded,
and when he releases the mousebutton, the shoe will continue to rotate at that speed.
Do you think it could work using video? Or do I have to use stillimages instead?

Why is my ipad2 not buffering videos streaming from web as quickly as it can play them and keep making my videos stop playing?

When I try watching videos streaming from itunes or u tube or any streaming source the ipad2 does not buffer the videos as fast as they are being played. This makes the videos stop playing within a few seconds after they start and I have to continuously hit the play button to watch videos in bits and pieces. This makes the streaming of videos on this device virtually impossible.

You may be having some problem in your local network or your internet connection is not fast enough to properly stream the videos.
What type of internet connection are you using (cable, DSL, etc?)
What sort of local network do you have? router make/model, etc.
What other traffic is on your network?

Here is the fix for that problem, if you're still having it. I had the same thing happen. Sony Singh posted this in another conversation and it worked. Just be sure to reboot after copying and pasting the file below.

Depends on whether or not the codecs cotained in the AVI or MKV files (AVI and MKV are only file containers—not compression formats) are supported by the DivX installation or your Mac component configuration.

The Perian package still works under Mountain Lion but some codec components may only be available via the older QT 7 player app. However, DivX codecs may or may not have conflict problems with the Perian components.

Again, this would depend on the specific codecs used in the AVI or MKV file containers. Basically if the content is compatible with the formats supported by FFmpegX software, then they will be supported by HandBrake. As to loss of quality, the depends on the quality you start with in the source file, the specific settings used for the conversion, and the target display dimensions of your conversion. In some cases where the source data is already compressed as MPEG-4 or MPEG-4/AVC content, the data can the resaved to MOV, MP4, and/or M4V file containers withould having to transcode any data.

Basically, any App Store application that can convert AVI or MKV files using its own internal codec support and has a built in player module should be able to play such files. And more are available online besides those in the App Store.
