My JVC auto stereo doesn't recognize my iPod Classic when connected

I Have a JVC car stereo md.# KW-V30 BT that I recently installed, my I pod classic was working fine for many weeks when recently I saw in the window of the stereo I pod not connected.
I Have reset the stereo and the I pod, still get the same message, any ideas as to the why of this, I was wondering if it could possibly be the at the connection, as
I plugged my daughters in and the device read her iPod no problems with hers, I stumped
thanks for your help in advance
TIm

I Have been having a similar problem, I recenty have been having problems with my car stereo, I ended up changing two different steroes  until someone said maybe it's the iPod, (so I grabbed a second classic that had been sitting around, received it as. Gift a while ago but never needed to use it, ) put some songs on it and it worked just fine.
So both are 160gb classics
Both charge and sync just fine with the computer
Only one works on the car dock!!!
The other just charges in the car and does not sync to the radio whatsoever
please advise.
Both iPods are identical!!!

  • My desktop all of the sudden doesn't recognize my iPod Nano when I plug it in (gives me an error message).  I've tried everything!  HELP!

Up until yesterday, my nano was syncing just fine with my iTunes.  Out of the blue my brand new desktop doesn't recognize my iPod Nano device.  I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes.  I've worked through all the diagnostics apple had to offer... but nothing.  Can you help?

Does this problematic song play okay in iTunes?  Have you tried removing and resyncing it to your device via iTunes?

  • The new iTunes doesn't recognize my iPod classic.  Why?

I had to re-install my OS which required installing the new iTunes.  Now iTunes won't recognize my iPod classic.  It took some time before iTunes would even allow me to log in to my account.  What's the deal??  I'm becoming increasingly irritated that I can't put my cloud music back onto my iPod...

  • ITunes 10.2.1.1  doesn't recognize my iPhone 4 when I try to sync it. This has happened suddenly. Please help.

iTunes 10.2.1.1  doesn't recognize my iPhone 4 when I try to sync it. This has happened suddenly. Please help.

I recently installed IOS 4.3.2. and ITunes 10.2.2 on my 64 Bit Vista PC. Since upgrading the IOS on any of my devices, none of them are recognized in iTunes. The computer recognizes them in My Computer but not in iTunes. Apple support pointed me to http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538?viewlocale=en_US which directs you to uninstall/reinstall iTunes and all related programs. That has not solved the problem. The only guidance I have been given is from a tech at the Apple store who mentioned that there might be issues with the drivers in Vista. I have not been able to find any help with solving that issue. Does anybody have any thoughts.

  • I updated to iTunes 10.2.2, and now it doesn't recognize my iPod Touch!

I updated my computer to Snow Leopard, and I was prompted to update iTunes to 10.2.2. Okay, did that. Now iTunes doesn't recognize my iPod whatsoever! But my computer does as a whole: i.e., Aperture automaticaly opens as it usually does when I plug in my iPod.
So this is great. And there's no bug fix; I've googled for the past hour now. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix? Because for now, I can't update my iPod at all!

If nothing else, try upgrading to iTunes 10.3.1.

My Windows 8.1 computer doesn't recognize my iPod nano 7th generation. Why?
When I connect my iPod to my computer, nothing happens. I've read the tips in the section "support" and I noticed that maybe Windows 8 is not one of the operating systems that are compatible with an iPod nano 7th generation. If I'm right, what can I do if my only device is a Windows 8?

My computer running Windows 7 doesn't recognize my ipod nano 2nd gen.  Also my ipod not seen in my itunes.  I did all the reset stuff and nothing works.  Do you think it is just shot???

Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes. Are you a Mac or PC user?
Hm so have you also tried completely erasing your iPod?

  • I updated my itunes and now it doesn't recognize my ipod touch

Ever since I updated my itunes to the latest version, it doesn't recognize my ipod therefore I can't sync new songs onto it.
I tried following these apple help steps http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363?viewlocale=en_US but am stuck on #4-11...for some reason I can't delete the Temp folder because it's saying I still have a program open but I'm sure I've closed everything!
