My keyboard suddenly became too sensitive iPhone 5

My phone was OK but suddenly the keyboard became too sensitive I press space and gives me 2 spaces provocking a dot and it's almost impossible to write anything. Is this a software issue or should I take the phone to the apple store? I already exchanged phone once due to issues on the previous one....I'm noticing that the quality is really diminishing since the first iphones... I had iphones 1,2,3 and 4 with great build but the 5 is a lemon and we have 3 at home always with problems.

  • Multi-touch too sensitive iPhone 5

I have been experiencing a very annoying problem. I have changed my iPhone 5 twice already because of this.
When I try to write something, it keeps closing my keyboard, pressing buttons without me touching it. It closes the app I am using, or decides by itself to add a picture to my conversation.
It looks like the screen is way too sensitve and that it multi-touches every button available, to a point that I cant even have a proper txt msg conversation anymore. It has a life of its own.
Any suggestions of how I can solve this problem?

  • Random responses on keyboard - seems too sensitive, or not at all

My iphone 5 has been unusable for texts and emails as its keyboard is simultaneoulsy too sensitive, or dead in certain areas so that as you type the message doesn't come out right and/or it suddenly gets deleted.  If I turn it off for awhile it settles down - but anyone else experiencing this?

    1. Using a file explorer go to System > Usr > Idc and find a file named max1187x_touchscreen_0.idc.
    2. Open it in a text editor and search for ‘Touch Filter’.
    3. Below that there is the following code ‘touch.filter.level = 2′. Change the value of it.

    Hi ka_tin,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If the largeness you are seeing is related to the Accessability Zoom function (a feature that allows you to zoom in on the screen for people with vision issues), you may find the following page helpful:

    Hi ,
Do you remember if you  have installed some software prior to this issue?
    Delete programs you never use.
If the issue reoccurs in Clean Boot, but works fine in Safe Mode, the cause may be the disabled hardware drivers. You may narrow down the
    causes in Device Clean Boot.
    Device Clean Boot
    =================
    1. Click Start, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Search bar and press Enter.
    2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".
    3. Right click on your sound card and then click "Properties.
    4. In the dropdown menu of Device Usage, please choose "Do not use this device (disable)" and click OK.
    5. Please use the same method to disable other dubious hardware such as: internal modem, network card and CD-R drive. Please note some devices
such as video adapter are not available to be disabled.

  • My iphone shuts off randomly and the button is too sensitive. Like I don't even press the lock button and it shuts off. This happened after the 7.1 update. It's on the iphone 5.

My iphone shuts off randomly and the button is too sensitive. Like I don't even press the lock button and it shuts off. Also when my finger barely rubs over the lock button, it shuts off too. This happened after the 7.1 update. It's on the iphone 5. Someone help me. I just want to fix this. Maybe if it's possible I can disable the lock button.

The lock button does not turn OFF the iPhone. It will give you a screen with the option to turn OFF the iPhone. Possibly the battery is faulty. Make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple store for free battery diagnostic testing and evaluation.

The screen on my iphone has suddenly become very sensitive and mutes ny calls all the time I know there was a bug fix but don't know how to find it?

If your screen is flickering, you might have a hardware issue there. I would take Macie to the doctor and have her checked out.

  • Earbud microphone is too sensitive - other party complains

I just upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to a 5S.  Now whenever I use my headset to talk to people they all say that it sounds like I'm typing on my keyboard with a sledge hammer.
I've done some testing and sure enough, the microphone on the headset is insanely sensitive.  It's literally louder for the other person hearing my keyboard clicks than it is for me.
This happens whether or not I use the earbud headset that came with the iPhone 5, or my more traditional headset that I always use here at my desk.  I don't know the model # of that, but I've been using it for years without complaint.  It's a regular across the top of the head, padded ear speakers and mic on a flexible stem with a foam wind suppressor.
Is there any way to get into the settings of the headset microphone sensitivity?
Could it somehow be possibly related to the fact that this phone is in an Otterbox? I suppose the box could theoretically be blocking some sort of noise cancellation input on the phone itself.  This box is heck to get off.
Hmm..... I see upon getting ready to his post that there's an update to the OS.  I'm on 7.02 and there's a 7.03 available.  One of the fixes listed is related to [Fixes an issue that could cause VoiceOver input to be too sensitive].  I wonder if that's the issue?  Will post this message, update, and post back.
    Thanks,
    Paul

I've never had that problem with my first iPhone which was the 4 then the 4s then the 5 and now the 5s, but no offense to apple (my friends tell me that I'm a fanboy) I use the Bose MIE2 and I've beeen using it for 3 years now and love it.
It's an investment, but well worth it.  I also use the Bose bluetooth headset series 2 and for noise cancellation the Beats studio.  Again, all investments but no problems with those.
I apologize if this doesn't help you?  Have you tried going to an apple store to let them know about your complaint?

  • My Macbook Pro suddenly became really slow

3 Days ago my Macbook Pro suddenly became really slow. I can't run anything without my computer freezing. I've had my Macbook Pro since mid-2012 (21 months). The first thing i did was check my activity monitor, which said that I was apparently using 4 GB (half) of my Macbook Pro's RAM, even though nothing was running. The process that was using the most RAM was kernal.task, which was only around 600mb of RAM. All the processes RAM amounts only added up to around 1 GB,  not four. I can't even open safari without my computer freezing. The amount of RAM being "used" on my computer slowly started to increase, even though nothing was running, until it got to all 8 GB being used. When i restart my computer, it goes back to 4 GB and starts to rise again. My processor, on the other hand, is doing nothing. Its acting normally. How do i get my computer back to its usual performance?
    Hardware Specifications
    13-inch Mid-2012 Macbook Pro
Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
    750 GB HDD
    OS X 10.9.2

Since you are using Mavericks OS, the amount of RAM being used is inconsequential but the 'pressure' is.  If green is showing then the RAM usage is normal.  This is a change fro prior OSX's.
The usual problem will lie with the HDD,  It may be too full or needs to be repaired or replaced.  Go into OSX recovery and select from the 4 option menu Disk Utility.  Choose First Aid and run Verify and Repair.
(Start the MBP with the OPTION key down and select the recovery partition)
If that does not solve the problem, try a safe boot:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564
If the MBP responds 'normally' that usually indicates that there is a third part application that is causing the problem.  They have to bedeleted and reinstalled in a systematic way so that you can identify the culprit.
    Ciao.

  • Mouse Too Sensitive in Fullscreen Apps

Normally on the XFCE4 desktop my mouse is perfect (using Synaptics driver on my Lenovo Ideapad S205) but if I open any fullscreen apps such as ScummVM, the mouse suddenly becomes incredibly sensitive and moves far too fast (and quite inaccurately too, making it hard to select some things as if the mouse is suddenly operating as a very low DPI).
This is just inside the app, if I leave the fullscreen program then the mouse if fine again.
Has anyone else experienced this before and does anyone know of a fix?

I would guess that it's a bug in SDL, and check the SDL bugzilla.
Also check the xorg bugzilla re synaptics bugs, 'cos Arch uses bleeding-edge xorg (I'm still on xorg-server 1.9.5 with patches pinched from Fedora and Mageia, because I found 1.10.x unstable).

  • Buttons too sensitive

After the latest update, the buttons on the screen of the phone while telephoning are far too sensitive. For instance, it goes to Facetime acccidently by being too near to my cheek/ear. Is there some way to make the buttons less sensitive? Thank you

    Hello there Dr. Dave,
It sounds like your proximity sensor is not turning the screen black to prevent buttons from being pressed. I recommend the troubleshooting from the article named:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Screen won't lock or go black when answering calls
Verify mute or speaker have not been activated, just prior to placing your ear over the receiver.
While on a call hold your hand over the top third of the display, and verify that the screen is locked or goes to sleep.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
If the issue persists, I would next close all the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,

    Hi Anne,
Sad but true, no more scroll arrows anywhere... why? Because if you can't use something easily on an iPhone it's gone from iOS7

  • My screen suddenly zooms too big w/o me touching anything.  Please help. I recently "upgraded" to Mountain Lion on my iMac

My screen suddenly zooms too big without me touching anything (i.e. mouse or keyboard).  I can't reduce it.  Part of the menu reappears when I click at the very top, but I can't even get the red-yellow-green buttons to show.  I recently "upgraded" to mountain lion.  Did not have this problem in the past.  My settings appear to be correct.  Any suggestions?

Hi, have you tried setting a different rez in thje Disply Pref Pane of System Prefs?
Do those things show if you Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup)?
