My Keynote is not working

I created a presentation on iPad mini with the new Keynote and I would like to open it on my Macbook thru iCloud. But when I click on the presentation, it gives me an error that I need a new version of Keynote and once I go to Appstore it says that the new version of Keynote is already installed. But I don't think that it is installed because it still has the old looking icon of Keynote '09. I don't know what to do? I would appreciate any suggestion.

I think I may have solved my own problem here. The music file was corrupt, I think, because when I eliminated it and/or added the music via a hidden iMovie file, the builds worked fine and the music continued to play from slide to slide.
Something must have happened during the iOS update yesterday.
Still have to test this on my Mac and then in iBooks Author so stay tuned - if it interests you. :).

  • Flash movies made in keynote are not working in firefox

I have just finished a 65 page iwebsite at
    www.acendedmasterscards.com
it is a card reading with a flash movie - made in
keynote for each card. It looks beautiful in
Safari but in firefox I get a blank white bit
instead of the movie. Help! I would also love
    comments on the site! Karen.

I join in the other's congratulations as your site is wonderful. I really enjoy it and I have bookmarked it that I too can post a link to it when I get to an appropriate place in my web building. I will inform you of it.
I really like what you did with flash and I was trying to do something similar using keynote but I was exporting to a podcast instead of flash and it was never working right. I now thanks to you might try to do it in flash.
As far as the other browsers are concerned you might ask the question on the keynote forum as well perhaps one of the experts there will have another idea as to why it does not work. In the mean time keep positive thoughts and perhaps safari will become the new ie since it has been released to windows.
    Thanks for sharing

  • Several apps including keynote are not working

Keynote, numbers, etc are not working on my ipad anymore

Along with the ios5 release, each of the iworks apps were also updated lt week.  If you upgraded to ios 5, then you need the new pages, keynote and numbers.  Conversly, if you try to bring them down from the store without doing the ios5 update, you will get an error.
    So go check your updates.
If you have already done all of that, other than a full restart, i have no suggestions.

  • Flash File Made in Keynote does not work in IWeb site

I created a file in keynote and exported it to a flash file. I then drag and drop into my website and it shows up as a text in a box (the title and .swf). What am I doing wrong and is really that complicated?? I have exported before to a quicktime file and then dragged it in IWeb and it worked fine, what's the story??

The main problem people have with this is to get the idea of how you store the file on your server and how to create the link to it. If the link is not exactly right - it won't work.
Test your link by copying it and pasting it into your browser to see if it works.

  • Keynot does not work with Lion OSX 10.7.2

First there was the problem with the hidden Library/application Support/iWeb/domaines, which is an important problem for me as I use my web site to show people what kind of work that I do (videos with still photography); now there's the problem with Keynote, which does not even open with Lion OSX 10.7.2. Up until now, I was using Keynote to do my video projections in small town halls. I use Protools for the sound and Final Cut (that's another problem!) for the photos and then do a Quick Time session which I put in Keynote. It was working just fine - until Lion came along.
It seems to be well known that Apple is going to discontinue iWeb (let's not talk about what they did to Final Cut) - and now it looks like they've got plans for Keynote as well. It looks like the solution is either to use PowerPoint rather than Keynote, or to downgrade back to Snow Leopard. I'm tempted to change to PowerPoint just to keep in the race, but where is Apple taking us? I'm not sure that what Apple want's us to do is really good for us! But is it realistic to hang on to Snow Leopard? Are the PCs better or are they doing the same thing? It almost seems as if there were commercial agreements between those who run everything...but that's another story - or is it?
    Théo

Yes, it should work with Lion.  It does for lots of folks.
Are you getting an error message of some sort?  If so, see #C2 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If that doesn't help, try re-selecting it, via Time Machine preferences.
Or try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in the Troubleshooting article.
Or reset the TC itself, per http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3728

  • My Keynote does not work on my MacBook Pro with OsX Mavericks. It opens though, but then is stuck, menu does not react. What to do?

I have Keynote 6.1 and run it on a MacBookPro with OsX Mavericks. I can start Keynote, but I cant access the menu, it is stuck. What to do?

Try this repair for Keynote 6.2,  ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
1  delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application
2  restart the Mac;   Apple menu > restart
3  immediately after the start chime,  press the shift key until you see the Apple symbol.
let it fully boot up,  it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
4  when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive  then First Aid tab and      click  repair disc permissions
5  when complete, restart the Mac normally
6  install Keynote from the Mac App Store, it will be updated to the latest verion which is 6.2
let us know if this helped.

  • Keynote does not work properly

Hi, it’s long time since I work with keynote to do my classes and, since the last actualization, it suddenly closes every time, there is any problem with the application?
    Thanks,
    Eli

    Hello Eli,
I would suggest deleting the application and reinstalling it from the Mac App Store.

  • Quicktime Streaming of keynotes does not work

When I want to watch the keynotes on apple.com all I get is stuttering audio and chopped video.
Why? How can I solve this? It's independent of the resolution I select.
btw. why am I forced to use that stone-aged Quicktime to watch a movie by the "HTML5-Friendly company"?

Watching it on Vimeo now. Using FLASH. Without any problems.

  • PDF/Keynote will not work and IMac (2009) Lion 10.7.5  is extremely slow

Both MBP 15" 2010 and IMac 2009 - both Lion 10.7.5 are slow
I do not have a lot of garbage on them- I try to be careful about the sites that I visit (in school so I usually visit sites through the university's VPN)
    This is driving me insane!

    Hi, on the slowness...
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7029
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?

This is the forum for Pages on a Mac running OS X. I don't know iPad, but often answers in this forum are to check for upgrades to iWork apps after a System upgrade. You may get a better answer in this forum:

  • Aluminum Apple Remote not working well with Keynote '09 v.5.0.4

I have an i7 17" MBP and I purchased the aluminum remote to go with it. I do training/presentations for a living and generally halfway through various presentations, the remote will stop controlling them. Sometimes if I restart Keynote it will work again. Sometimes I have to reboot the computer. Other times it just doesn't work at all.
I can use it with my 2007 G4 17" MBP, but I haven't used it enough to see if it develops the same issues as the i7.
I've gone to Preferences > Security > General and tried to pair the remote with the laptop, but holding down the Menu and Next keys at the same time for a few seconds...or minutes... does not bring up the "paired" graphic. I've tried the Menu button and every other key, just to be sure, with the same lack of result.
What the hey? (And, no, "Disable remote control infrared receiver" is not selected.)

I have the white remote stop working on my new 15"MBP occasionally too. Same as you described in the post, it happens pretty randomly. I can get it back to work doing a unpair/pair under system preference panel though. It ***** but better than restarting the computer like you did, try that next time, just takes seconds...
after reading your post I guess I'll give up on trying to buy a aluminum remote. Logitech R400 looks very promising, if you give presentation all the time it might worth the investment.
    cheers!

I bought the Keynote app for my MacBook, but when I open the application and try to install it, I get an error message saying that the application will not work with my MacBook. What gives? And, can I please request a refund? ($19.99 = a week's groceries).
Thank you for your help! - I did try looking for all available specs about Keynote on the Apple iTunes website, and found nothing that could help me. HELP!

    1
    Close all iWork applications
    2
Uninstall Keynote; this must be done with an application remover tool to delete the installation properly. Appcleaner is known to work correctly for this purpose, it is free and can be downloaded from here: Appcleaner Download
    3
    empty the trash
    4
shutdown the Mac and restart. After the start up chime, hold down the shift key until the apple logo appears
let the Mac complete the start up procedure completely, it will take longer than usual as the hard drive is being repaired
    5
Reinstall Keynote by logging into the Mac App Store using download / install

  • Hyperlinks not working in PDf created from Keynote '08

When I produce a pdf from File > Print in Keynote '08, the hyperlinks do not work in the pdf. I have tried all the various pdf settings (even the ones that export hyperlinks) and no luck, the links are not working in the pdf. If I invoke the File > Export > PDf command in Keynote, the hyperlinks do work, but Export does not provide as much flexibility in PDF creation that File > Print does, thus my need to go to File > Print.
    Any suggestion?

Are you sure that you really entered a link when you created an Hyperlink?
The described one is the one which is used by default by every iWork's components.
We must enter the true one by ourselves.
