My keynote,pages,numbers document hangs in upload to icloud

When i create new or when editing documents from Keynote, the icon have the mark of uploading, but it never finish uploading.
The document is showing in the icloud.com have the "updating" status on for ever.
I can upload documents to the web and they are avialible on my iPad within minutes.
I have tried to see if there is a problem with my account or setting but i can't see any problems.
I have removed the iCloud account from the iPad and reconfigured it

I had similar issues when I first opened my iCloud account, I resolved it by saving the documents to either my desktop or iTunes (depending on where the latest version was and what was recoverable), turning all document syncing off and back on again and adding back the documents using different names.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Try deleting the Dock settings file. Open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type ~/Library/Preferences. Then, delete "com.apple.dock.plist", and finally, open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities) and type:
killall Dock
This will restore Dock to factory settings, so iWork applications and Microsoft apps will be deleted from Dock

Imovie/keynote/pages/numbers

i accidentally deleted my imovie on my new iphone6. how do i get it back? my itunes already auto synced and backed up after i deleted imovie. the reason why i deleted it because my keynote/pages/numbers/garage band/imovie were all not working. they couldn't be opened or load. please advise on both queries...

I understand that you deleted iMovie from your iPhone and would like to get it back. To re-download past purchases or downloads, please follow the steps located in the first attached article.

To troubleshoot your other applications that are not opening, I would first suggest closing those applications completely and then opening them fresh. To perform this task, please follow the instructions in the next attached article.

HT1338 My Mac says updates were installed for Keynote, Pages & Numbers but when I check the versions they are still the old versions.

My Mac says updates were installed for Keynote, Pages & Numbers, however, the version number shows to be the old version... If check for updates, it's telling me no updates are available...

The old versions are not removed when the new versions are installed. (The updates add features that improve cross-platform editing of files but remove many other features so the install leaves the old version in case the old features are important to you). If you look in your applications folder you should find both versions.

How do i get free keynote, pages, numbers for my Macbook Pro 15inch?

Hi i would like to check whether i am able to get any free keynote, pages, numbers on my Macbook Pro 15inch. I bought my macbook on 25th Nov 12. My version is updated to OS X Maverick.

For software discs, there are two cases:
a) came with 10.6. In this case order the replacement DVD from Apple.
b) came with 10.7. In this case there may be no replacement discs. Start up with Command-R and install 10.7 from the Internet.
This varies slightly depending on EXACTLY which model you have.

Cannot attach pages/numbers documents using .mac mail online

When I go to attach a file to an email created using .mac online, all pages and numbers documents are greyed out so that they cannot be selected. word and excel (and pdf's) are not greyed out and CAN be selected. anyone notice this? any reason why?

After I read your post, I tried it for myself, and got an error message that the file could not be uploaded. Then I tried making an archive of the file, and the worked perfectly.
In the Finder, control-click on your Pages or Numbers file, select Create Archive of (your file name). Then email the archive.
Pages files are packages (so I assume Numbers files are too), and they need to be archived before emailing.

Documents are not uploading to iCloud from Pages

All software is up to date. On OSX 10.9.1 I am only having this issue on my MBP. Documents are uploading to iCloud from my phone just fine. I had edited a document and it continues to just say "Waiting" and doesnt upload any changes. I also started a new document and saved it but it will not upload to iCloud, so I can not access it on the phone. I am not sure if this is a glitch from the most current Pages update. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix for this issue?

Unfortunately neither of those options work. Last thing I did was reinstall Pages and it is exactly the same. Unfortunately now it will not appear in the Launchpad and I have to keep it in my dock. Having such a horrible day with this. I do not understand why Apple charges us so much for their hardware and then forces us to use things like iCloud, because they restrict the full benefits of things like Dropbox or Skydrive, when they cant have it working properly. I have read other posts on here with similar issues or even worse off.
I greatly appreciate your help Winston. I think I will have to contact Apple now, I am just hoping it ends up being a simple fix.

Missing Keynote, Pages, Numbers

I recently did a full restore from the time machine backups on my hard drive. When the computer was done and turned back on, Keynote, Pages and Numbers were no longer on the tool bar. They are now just question marks that say the respective programs when I hover the curser over them. I have a desktop Mac that I have been using since 2008. I have kept up with all the updates and upgrades in software since purchasing it new from the Apple Store. I believe the programs should be in the iWork folder in applications, but there is nothing in there after the restore. How do I get them back?

If you have been keeping up with all the updates and software upgrades on your Mac as you say, then you know that the most recent versions of Keynote, Pages and Numbers are not in the iWork folder.
For at least the last year or more, each of the new updated applications have been standing alone in your Applications folder.
Look for them individually there, then drag the icon for each application to the dock if you want to place a shortcut there.

Are Keynote, Pages, Numbers paid?!

I bought a MBP 13" with Moutain Lion installed. I upgraded to Mavericks two weeks after and installed Keynote, Pages And Numbers for free. I had to uninstall these 3 applications after a while because of some issues on my MBP. I'm trying to download them again from the AppStore but it says that I have to pay for the 3 apps.
Why can't i download them again for free?

Have you logged in the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you used to download Keynote, Pages and Numbers? If not, do it.
If this is not the problem, check that Numbers, Keynote and Pages are hidden > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US If so, unhide them.

Keynote/pages/numbers backup

How do I get a permanat back up of my Keynote, Pages and Numbers files? I want to start deleting some off of my iPad to save space but am concerned that if I do so, they will also delete off of the cloud. I want to make sure I do this correctly. I would love to just send them to my dropbox, but the apps do not work with dropbox.

I have page documents showing an arrow in the upper left coner of the document icon, but they never have uploaded to iCloud. What am I missing?

If you are able to move the document to your desktop on your Mac, you should do so. Then delete all references to that document in the iCloud on your mobile devices, at iCloud.com and if necessary from system preferences> iCloud> manage.
Once you are sure it has been removed from all locations, try adding it back using a slightly different filename, from your desktop.

Why is Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and iPhoto all under the free category in the app store but say they cost money? Are they really free? Should I download them?

HELP! I need these softwares for educational purposes ASAP! I'm not sure whether or not I should purchase any of them, due to the fact they are under the free category, yet if I click each app they all say to "buy now" for a certain price. This is questionable to me, and I am unsure what the real cost of them are before I attempt to make any purchases or not. If anyone could let me know soon please, that'd be great. Or if there are any other trust worthy sites for a free download that would be great too if you could just list the process THANK YOU! (:

All Apple computer come with the iLife suite of App totally free and they are installed on your Mac by the factory when it was built and shipped.
Those iLife apps are iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand on Mac computers that came with any of the Download Only version of OS X, Lion Mt Lion and Mavericks and also include iDVD and iWeb on older Mac computers that came with OS X Snow Leopard or previous version of OS X.
If they are not already on your Mac then you can reinstall them from either the Mac App Store, for Mac's that came with Lion, Mt Lion or Mavericks, or from the Original System Reinstall DVD discs on older Mac that came with Snow Leopard or previous version of OS X.
You need to post what model year Mac you are using and whether or not you bought it new from Apple or an Autherised Apple reseller.
As for the iWork set of applications, Pages, Numbers and Keynote, those you need to buy from the Mac App Store unless you purchase your Mac New from Apple or an Authorized Apple reseller on or after October 21 2013.
So what model year Mac do you have and did you buy it new.

Help - I deleted a Numbers document from my IPhone in ICloud and every document in my Finances file has disappeared off my IMac

I went to update my IPhone4 and got the message that there was not enough space and to delete something from ICloud. So I went to ICloud and deleted a Numbers document that I didn't need anymore - it seems that all my Numbers financial document have disappeared - all my Monthly and Annual spreadsheets for the past few years, including a spreadsheet with House expense - I really need all these spreadsheets. How do I get them back?

If you are backing up your Mac using Time Machine, open Finder and navigate to "~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~Numbers/Documents" (without the quotes) from the Go>Go to Folder menu. Then open Time Machine and go back to an earlier point in time until you see your Numbers documents, select them and click Restore, then exit Time Machine.

Can I buy Keynote/pages/numbers together?

I may be mistaken but when the IPad first came out I thought I saw in the Keynote speech that you could buy all 3 for like $20 or buy them each individually for $10. Is this true or did I just remember wrong?
I haven't found the link to buy them all together in the App store so this is why I'm asking.
Before I buy pages I just wanted to make sure I can't get all three for a discounted price.
One more thing. I know nothing of how Pages works, just got my Ipad. Do the documents I create on Pages only transfer to my Mac through Itunes? If I use MS Office for Mac will my documents from Pages open with Office or do I need to get Pages or Iwork for my Mac too?

You remember wrong. There is no option to buy all 3 apps for $20. You have to buy them one at a time for $10 each.
