My laptop A305-S6857 doesn't work.

Hi all,
I have a problem with my laptop. I press the power key, the light on the keyboard goes on but the screen is blank.
I was looking for a drama online last night, when I switched back to facebook, the message went on my screen:" Shutdown your computer now, otherwise it will damage your computer". So I pressed the power key to shut it down, then I turned it on again, the screen turned blue with the same message. I shut down again and turned it on, then the screen has been blank until this moment. I have tried to insert the recovery disc and pressed "C" key but nothing happened. Can anybody help me? Please , thank you.

Are you sure the message you quoted above is exact? It seems something is missing from the message as the message never defined what "it" was.
Make sure you have power connected. Power on. Then with the unit on, press and hold the power button until the unit powers off. Then pwoer on. You can also try the same thing but power on and imediatly press and hold the F8 key and then try safe mode, etc.

Laptop Mouse touchpad doesn't work with Firefox 4

Previously in Firefox 3, I could use the touchpad on my laptop to middle click, and scroll. Now it won't work with Firefox 4. When I try to use the scroll feature it registers the mouse as scrolling, but the page doesn't move at all in Firefox. Toshiba Laptop Webcam/Mic doesn't work, how can I fix it?

It just won't start up, it's simply a black screen rather then my face. I also get a message saying that a USB device is not recognized?
I've looked into the Device Manager and uninstalled the Webcam Driver and restarted my computer. Still doens't work, infact now it doesn't even recognize that I have a webcam anymore at all. I thought restarting my computer would reinstall it.
Also, I don't know the particular model number of my laptop but I have the original box so I can guess at what it could be. PSK98C-00F001 is probably it but looking it up on http://support.toshiba.com/ says that it's not valid.
How do I fix this?

Still doens't work, infact now it doesn't even recognize that I have a webcam anymore at all. I thought restarting my computer would reinstall it.
Have you tried resetting the bios?
Click HERE - Reset the BIOS to factory defaults settings. This will allow you to re-detect all components inside the laptop including your webcam.
BTW: Once you are inside Setup Utility [BIOS] go to Advanced > System configuration > WEB CAMERA must be ENABLE.

Photostream from PC to Ipad doesn't work

Hello, I have installed ICloud on my Ipad en on my Windows 8 laptop. Photostream from Ipad to laptop is ok but from laptop to Ipad doesn't work.
I have contacted Apple support but the couldn't figure it out, I tried everything: disable firewall in router and laptop, also disabeld Defender, installed a new
ICloud, installed new OS on the Ipad, all the photo's are in the upload folder, the battery of the Ipad is 100% filled, the Wifi works ok. etc.etc. I suppose that
there must be a wrong configuration somewhere, perhaps the Wifi must be in BootP on the Ipad or I have to enable a kind of service in the laptop or perhaps
it is just a stupidity from me? Who has an idea?

I purchased a gift card in order to use it for in app purchasing. I didn't list any oth card in my account and now I can download the main application and buy songs from iTunes But the service simply told me that my email/apple ID can't be used with that store (the country's I am) although I used it twice! So what is it?
In order to use a gift card for in app purchasing you need to have a debit card or any other card listed? I bought a gift card because I don't have any eligible cards for that account.

I never recieved any response from Lenovo Support on this, checked my messages & emails since and nothing. I guess when they don't have an answer, tickets just fall threw the cracks mysteriously.
Either way, I never had a chance to attempt the sequence method mentioned, granted Lenovo stated what order I needed to install their software (which I performed to their exact instructions)
Since then, out of the 2 laptops, 1 still doesn't work and the other one works periodically. Don't know why it works when it does but after a reboot, it fails again.

uninstall pse 10 (properly using the adobe uninstaller).
clean - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
then try reinstalling using the adobe installation file(s).

and ask for an activation count reset.

Do not worry about it.
Time Machine needs that your external drive is formatted in HFS+, or better known as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)". This filesystem is used by Apple on Macs and Windows cannot read or write drives formatted with this filesystem, being this the reason why all your devices do not read the external drive except your Mac.
You can only use your external drive to make Time Machine drives. If you store anything different, you may damage the Time Machine structure, so it is better not to use it as a drive to store other data. Instead, get another external drive to do it or create a second partition on the external drive formatted in FAT32 by using Disk Utility > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU3.html FAT32 can be read by Windows PCs

Move the content from the old computer to the new computer.
Sync the iPhone via cable to the new computer and enable Wi-Fi syncing.
It should now be possible to sync via Wi-Fi to the new computer.

New laptop & OS (Win8); have Pro 7 which doesn't work...what do I update to?

I have a new laptop with Windows 8 and have tried to download Acrobat Pro Ver 7, which doesn't work on Win 8 as I've found out. What do I need to update to for a compatible program? Do I have to buy an entirely new product or can I just upgrade?

It's a long time since I installed a new OS but I thought you had to go through registration before it would work. You certainly have to supply your name and address, and then it prompts you to register. Will it let you skip that step?
If the new owner can do that, why would he need the install disks? And how do I get through to the right person at Apple?

I own PSE 7 on disc. The laptop it was loaded on died. My new laptop doesn't have an optical drive so I downloaded PSE 7 from the Adobe site. It downloaded fine but I cannot start using it until I enter a S/N. The S/N on the disc box doesn't work.

Those links weren't particularly helpful to me. They convinced me to install the drivers for my USB 2.0 card, but that didn't make a difference. Still no OS X without a PRAM reset if I've dared to venture into OS 9.
It's always been my understanding that an unblessed System Folder will not be selectable in OS 9's Startup Disk control panel. My folders are blessed and healthy. Of course I'm running 9.2.2, as stated in my first message. I also frequently verify and repair my disks and permissions.
I did a verbose startup of OS X, and noticed something funny about "ATY...too old." Perhaps this problem is related? I ventured into my system.log file and there it was, repeated over and over, everytime I've booted this computer:

Anyone know how to interpret that? Is it related to my problem? I googled it, and all I found was a web board of people arguing over whether the Apple installed stock ATI Rage video card that came in the G3's is appropriate for Panther. The Ye's have it as far as I'm concerned...as long as I leave OS 9 alone, my video is fine on this computer!

PXI 8310 Cardbus doesn't work with HP compaq nx9105 laptop

Hi,
I have to install a NI PXI 8310 Cardbus on a HP compaq nx9105 (which is a tested laptop) with a processor ADM Athlon 64, 350 MHz, 1 GB RAM, Win XP Pro. The PCMCIA controllers are "Controller Texas Instruments PCI-1620 Cardbus Controller with Ultramedia".
I follow the instruction of Installation Guide and after installing the Cardbus driver I shut down the computer, I insert the Cardbus 8310, and when I power Up a message of error is showing.
"One or more card was not configured in your system. If you are seeing this message for the first time, please use the NIDocker icon on your taskbar, select 'Reset Bridge Settings', and reboot the system. If the issue persist etc..."
I do these actions and when I reboot the same error arises.
On Control Pannel's System Manager I can see the situation in the attachment. The PCMCIA controller doesn't work and on the properties of the device it is written that "the specified device generates a resource conflict (code 12)".
Please Suggest.

Hi Pietro,
based on the error you are seeing, it might be cause by improper installation of the driver or controller. The installation instructions specify that once the driver is installed you have to reboot the laptop twice before you try installing the 8310. If you complete only one reboot, the driver might not finish the configuration which later corrupts the installation of the 8310. Therefore, try the following:
disconnect the 8310 from the laptop
uninstall the driver
re-install the driver
reboot the laptop twice - after you re-boot once there should be a prompt asking you to reboot again
install the 8310
If this does not resolve the problem, run <a href="http://www.drivertools.net/Products/Utilities/EngineeringUtilities/PCIScope.htm">PCIScope</a> - a third party software (you can get 14 day free trial version) - and send me a capture of the diagnostic. PCIScope is software that is evaluates and debugs the PCI bridge/subsystems.
I have seen the list of laptop compatible with the NI Cardbus, but your PC is tested with a different controller. So it is possible that the laptop is incompatible due the different controller. With the PCIScope capture we can better determine the root-cause of the problem. If this indeed is the case, we will revise our documentation as far as what laptops with which controllers are supported.

A lot more information is required. When you say it doesn't work on the laptop, do you mean it runs slow or are there error messages generated? If there are errors, what are they? Is there any hardware being used? Are there differences in OS or memory between the pc and laptop? Is this an executable you're running?
