help me solv this problem

Hi:
PC3-10666/10660 memory normally does not work in HP notebooks.
You need to stick with PC3-10600 or PC3-12800 (which will downclock to 1333 MHz).

What errors are you seeing on the screen?

hi, can any one please advise what should I do for my server? Dell poweredge T630 cannot reboot after trying to add new memory card. Even I remove the newly added memory card and only keep the original one there, it still cannot reboot. Before I try to add the memory card, it works well without any rebooting issues.

  • Computer goes to black screen after splash screen (installed new graphics card)

I installed an EVGA Geforce GTX 750ti on my computer today, but when I boot it up, it goes and stays on the splash screen for about 45 seconds, then goes to a black screen, and stays there for an indefinite amount of time.  Any ideas on how to make this work?

    Hi
Have you installed the drivers for your card that would have come with the card ??  Secondly have you changed the BIOS to work from the new card as default  ?????

How can I disable the system feature which automatically restarts applications i had open during a previous session ?

When you log out, uncheck the box to reopen applications. If you're still using 10.7.3, then you will have to uncheck the back with each shutdown or restart.
10.7.4 update was suppose to fix it that when you uncheck the box, it should remain unchecked for restarts after that.

I've got a  MacBook Pro 1TB HD, the drive was damaged (probably dropped) after I formatted the new drive I was able to get the OSi onto the drive and it's now up and running..But prior to removing the old HD I was able to run CloneZilla to map the drive. The problem I'm having is getting the files and documents back on the new HD.
I created a folder on the desk top and moved all the files and docs onto it, ( files / docs was originally burnt on a DVD ).  I'm not sure A) how to open the specific files B) which files to extract C) Is it as simple as drag and drop...
Hope you're able to understand my problem and offer some suggestions, in advance thank you for your time and effort...

    Hi, Steve -
Yes, the CD-ROM drive must be jumpered as Master in order for it to be bootable.
Your G4 (PCI) should have two built-in IDE buses - one is usually assigned to the CD-ROM and Zip drives, and the other is used for hard drives. If you have the hard drive connected to the same bus as the one the CD-ROM is on, try switching the hard drive to the other bus.
Set the hard drive's jumpers as Master.
Exception - if the hard drive is a Western Digital, it may have a third position, Single, which must be used when the drive is the only device on the bus.
Note - Cable Select jumper settings will not work on a G4 (PCI).
    Edit - -
Startup Manager, which is what booting with Option held down invokes, is not available on a G4 (PCI).

Firewire Target Disk Mode is limited on a G4 (PCI) - it can be the Host machine, but not the Target machine.

    iMac model?
    Mac OS version?
Both can be viewed fby doing "About this Mac" from the Apple menu at the left end of the menubar. The OS version will be pretty obvious; posting what the window says about your processor will help us figure out what model.
I ask becasue about 60 percent of the posts here are about newer models than the pre-2006 iMacs this forum serves.

  • G5 won't start up (black screen saying restart) after installing new memory

I have installed two new memory cards and removed the original and now my computer starts to start up - But then locks with a gray overlay and says restart - which you can only do by a hard start.

The trick with installing memory is that you have to PUSH harder than you can possibly imagine, so hard that you think you will damage the RAM, but you won't. Keep pushing till you hear a click.

  • No Signal after installing new graphics card

Hello and thanks in advance for your help!
We have a 2yr old HP p6540y.  It has an ATI integrated Video Card. When we recently turned it on, we got a 'no signal' message on the monitor and then it would go to sleep.  We have tried several things to fix...listed below, in order, and are still getting the same message.  Please advise!
    1) No Signal: DVI, VGA, HDMI.  So we unplugged and restarted, no change.
    2) Checked monitor and DVI & VGA cords with another computer: They all work.
    3) Installed new Graphics Card: NVIDIA GEForce GT 610.  Still got same 'no signal' message.
    4) We plugged/unplugged all other cards/cords/anything we could and cleaned out.  Then, finally, the monitor turned on! But not for long....
    5) After restarting computer after installation of graphics card driver, we got the 'no signal' message again.  We once again, pulled out other cards/plugs and again the monitor/computer came to life.
    6) We unistalled the integrated ATI graphic card.  When we go to Display, Advanced Options, it lists our new NVIDIA as graphic/display card.
    7) We turned computer off overnight and this morning when we turned on, we once agin got the 'no signal' message.  We unplugged/plugged computer in several times.  Also tried the trick with pulling out cards/plugs and we got nothing.  No Signal.  After doing this several times (about 10), it finally worked again.
    8) We changed sleep settings to: Screensaver=Never; Sleep Mode=Never.
    9)  We restarted again to once again get no signal message.
So...what do we need to do?
    Thanks so much!

    Triusa, welcome to the forum.
I suspect that your problem is caused by the power supply unit (PSU).  Here is a guide to help you troubleshoot the problem:

  • J2EE automatic restart after any restart of the hardware

    Hi colleagues,
We have one J2EE system must be running 7x24h.
So if any kind of hardware restart (like data center maintenance) happens J2EE system must be restarted automatically.I found one SAP Note no : 80474 for gateway automatic restart, and i have added profile parameter in gateway and tested it, its working fine.
Is this parameter is applicable for j2ee as well?
Or is there any other procedure is available j2ee to enable automatic restart?
I could not find any notes related to this issue.
    Kindly assist with this.
    Thanks in advance.

The best way to have gone about this would've been to use the Toshiba Recovery disks you should've made as per the directions on page 69 of your User's Guide, and then used them to rebuild your system as directed on page 72. This would've restored the Windows 7 Premium 64 edition, all your Toshiba drivers and utilties, and all the software your system orginally came with. In addition, this would've rebuilt the HDD recovery partition, making future rebuilds much faster and easier.
If you did not make a set of disks, you can still order them:
    Ordering Recovery Media
If you don't have and/or are unwilling to order the disks, you should only be using the drivers/utilities from your model's Toshiba download site. The order of loading 1st the hardware drivers and hardware utilities, then 2nd the Toshiba utilities an Toshiba supplied software is critical for success. Download and install in this order:
1st Hardware Drivers and Hardware Utilities
    Intel Chipset Utility
    Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
    nVidia Display Driver
appropriate sound/audio driver (Realtek or nVidia)
then all other hardware drivers and hardware utilities
2nd Toshiba Utilities and Toshiba Software
    Toshiba Value Added Package
    Toshiba Flash Card Support Utility
then all other Toshiba Utilities and Toshiba Software
Please let us know how it turns out. Good luck.

  • I accidently pulled the cable out when syncing. Now my ipod automatically restarts after a few seconds. What do I do?

    Please help
I accidently pulled the cable out when syncing. Now my ipod automatically restarts. What do i do?

OK, in that case a restore should fix things:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

  • Computer automatically restarting after installing iPOD

I installed my iPOD yesterday and since I did, my computer restarts after I close my browser windows. No matter what time I go on any program, after I am done doing whatever, internet, itunes, my documents, whatever, it always restarts. Whats going on? Also before I installed ipod, it would charge no problem. Now it only charges when updating files. Called tech support, no help at all. I have a 1.1 usb port. Please help. I am very disapointed. Also I have 30GB ipod.

i would recommend a usb 2 card they dont cost to much. this will more than likely be the cause of your problem

  • K8N Neo4 Platinum Bug: Automatic restart after shutdown ?!

    Hi,
I have the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum Motherboard, PCB 1, MS-7125, the latest BIOS (1.D).
I have cleared my CMOS, etc.
The problem is that after a shutdown in WinXP (SP2) the PC restarts after a few seconds.
When disabling the IOAPIC in the BIOS WinXP doesn't start anymore. Setting the MPS Table Version from 1.4 to 1.1 doesn't help.
There are no WakeUp options enabled.
    What's wrong with that ?
    greets
      Ingo

Check out this message.. and also the link in it, aparently this is not a uncommon issue (and it has nothing to do with Wake on features in the BIOS at times) it is a registry setting in windows of all things!?! my system does this (but it is fubared in other ways ATM) but i plan on fixing this once i get my system back in working order.
