I grasp that your notebook freezes while you are using it. You have done a clean install of Windows and an anti virus program.
Here is a link to Computer Locks Up or Freezes in Windows 8 to assist you.
Have you done all your Windows updates?
Please let me know the outcome.

  • Satellite L500-13v freeze and make sound while playing online game

I have just purchased a toshiba Satellite L500-13v laptop to use for general and studying purposes and am having problems.
Firstly music, when listening to music i keep having problems, the laptop will maka a horrible noise that i can only compare to the sound made when you put a cd into your car stereo and it doesn't like it.
When making this sound the laptop also seems to pause for a sec or so then continue.
This has happened when playing from cds, the hardrive and streaming straight form the internet.
Also got progressivelly worse, never at the same moment on a song or game always randomly.
Went back to the store and they said it sounds faulty and replaced the machine . . . . . .
The new one has started doing it.
On a game played online (with sound) it seemed to freeze and make this sound and everything stopped and also when streaming again.
This is a 4gb machine and at these times i would never be using more than 1.5 gb of ram.
This is meant to be everything i need computer wise for the next four and i am getting more and more concerned there is a problem.
I was told at the store this i a very new model, could this be one of those problems you only find once a model goes out??
    Plese Help???????

    > On a game played online (with sound) it seemed to freeze and make this sound and everything stopped and also when streaming again.
Does this mean that the notebook freezes ONLY running this online game?
Hmm did you try to update the graphic card driver?
In my experience many games (online) would affect the notebooks functionality if the graphic card driver is not fully compatible or too old

  • My 24" IMac freezes and makes a popping sound in the speakers. What could be wrong?

    Good afternoon
I have an early 2008 24" imac, 2.8GHz Intel cor 2 duo, mountnain lion 10.8.2. From time to time it suddenly stops, and makes a popping noise from the speakers and then the computer is frozen, i have to press the power button. This is now happening more often, at first i thought it might be flash as it use to happen on youtube videos, but today it froze whilst usling skype.
I read on the forms, but my problem is not exactly as the ones on forums.
Does anyone have this problem? Could it be the harddrive failing. I did a clean install of mountain lion last night and it happened still, the hard drive is a 320gb Hitatchi
    Thanks
I have included a youtube link of what it looks and sounds like.
    http://youtu.be/jBo9g2Z8U0E

You should try whats called a smc reset, look up HT3964 it should help, what you do is turn the imac off unplug the power cord from the back and hold down the power button for about 15 seconds then release and plug it back in.
If that doesnt work try a pram reset, HT1379, just google the number and it will pull up.

  • My iMac freezes and makes loud bleeps!

    Hello
Having major problems - my iMac keeps freezing and plays beeps (3 at a time) so I have to force shut down.
Is it anything to do with Lion? I installed it recently.
It's an iMac 3.6 core i5 with 8gb or ram, around 8 months old.
    Hope you can help!
    Thanks

Contact Apple or your local AASP immediately, it's covered by a one year warranty and sounds like you may be experiencing a hardware failure. My best guess is it may be RAM related. If you purchased AppleCare call them ASAP and they can help you run it through some diagnostics, if you haven't purchased AppleCare yet you can still can while it's covered by the original 1 year warranty, AppleCare will extend the warranty to 3 full years from the original date of purchase and also provides telephone support.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" 2007 which sometimes goes berserk writing the letter 'h' in a word processor. It stops when I hit the delete key for a while. Also can't use the letter 'h' in a word processor. The computer makes a fast tapping sound when not in a doc, in any application or in the finder or when a application is running. Sometimes when this is happening I cannot control the cursor. I have to hit the 'delete' key to proceed. Does anyone know anything of this?

You are still under warranty.  Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.
#1 - You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your computer with no questions asked.
#2 - You have 90 days of FREE phone tech support.
#3 - You have the standard one year Apple warranty.
#4 - If you've purchased an AppleCare Protection Plan, your warranty last for 3 years.   You can obtain AppleCare anytime up to the first year of the purchase of your computer.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty.  Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired.

  • Toshiba laptop, freezing and two BSOD's

Hi everyone, I've been dealing with laptop issues for the last week and am running out of ideas, so I thought I'd turn to this forum.
I have a fairly new Toshiba Satellite A660-x running Windows 7.
My issues have been the following:
    - Freezing on Windows boot up (I move the mouse and it freezes)
    - BSOD - 'Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed'
    - BSOD - 'A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor allocated time interval'.
Here is what I've tried so far:
Cleaning vents with compressed air can.
For the display driver BSOD, I tried to updated drivers for NDIVDIA GeForce GT 540M which seemed to work at first, but I have gotten the same error since.
For the clock interrupt, I am not sure what to do. I've heard to reset BIOS but I have no clue how to do that. I also used a program for the BSOD that gave the following dump - 102413-26254-01.dmp 10/24/2013 11:00:48 AM 0x00000101 0000000000000019 0000000000000000 fffff88003165180 0000000000000002 NETwNs64.sys NETwNs64.sys+40445 Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Driver Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Adapter Intel Corporation 14.0.0.113 x64 ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 C:\windows\MiniDump\102413-26254-01.dmp 8 15 7601 262,144 10/24/2013 11:14:28 AM
I'm able to boot into Safe Mode, but it is getting harder to get to Windows because it either freezes or I get a BSOD.
Any ideas or suggestions? I'm at the point where I might get a USB hard drive to get my files off in Safe Mode and look at a new laptop, but if there are any fixes I can try I'd be all about it.
    Thanks in advance.

  • My iPod skips, freezes, and makes my computer freeze. Is it a virus?

I noticed the problem a few days ago.
-My iPod randomly freezes for about 5 seconds at a time.
-It skips songs sometimes (I will select a song from the library to play, and it will go on to the next one before playing the song i chose, if i try to play that song again, it works.)
-I was going to try reset my iPod to the factory settings, but when I plug my iPod into my computer, it makes the iTunes and My Computer windows freeze up.
Any advice? I'll try just about anything, as this is extremely frusterating.

    Hey there,
Restoring the ipod seems like a good idea at this point. I would try putting the ipod into [Disk Mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363], and then connecting it to the computer to restore again.
Otherwise, maybe try completing reformatting the ipod through windows. Instructions for this process can be found below.

    Hope this helped.

  • What does it mean when my laptop freezes and has three loud beeps?

I've been trying to fix my MacBook Pro for awhile now. It started with taking my laptop to the "geniuses" at my local Apple Store. They replaced the logic board. But when I took it home, it made some loud beeps while it was being used. After a lot of drama with the "geniuses", I gave up dealing with them. I shoved the MacBook in my closet and bought myself a windows laptop. Now I have need for the MacBook. After some research, I decided to replace the RAM, since that seems to be the most common problem that causes the three loud beeps. The beeps never happen when you boot up the laptop, but during use. The beeps continue and I'm at a loss for what it could be.
    Any suggestions?

Funny enough, I just turned on the laptop to get the info you requested, to find out that it had a kernel panic when I last shut it down. I hope it helps, because I can't make heads or tails of it.

This is something that has been a continuous problem with my Mini for the past few months. Whenever I connect it to a computer, it will freeze for about 30 seconds before beggining its update. Whenever I select a song to play, it will freeze for about a minute, make strange grinding and clicking noises before skipping to the next song. There are also constant pauses during playback before it continues normally. I can't skip songs normally either as it freezes again.
This problem seemed to start to occur after I dropped my iPod off my bed (less than 45cm) so I somehow doubt that could've triggered this, but anything is possible, so hey.
I have tried reformatting the Mini, restoring it, updating software etc numerous times to no avail. Is all hope lost, or can it still be fixed?
    Thanks in advance,
    Blake

The sad thing is that all hard drives will eventually fail--it's just a mechanical system that will wear over time and eventually break down. The good news is that they can be replaced--even by you if you are up to it. Or there are many places that will do it for you. A bigger disaster would be logic board failure, which is way more expensive to replace.
You might be interested in http://www.ifixit.com/, which has instructions for replacing the hard drive yourself among other things. It's not trivial to do and it's easy to mess up, but you can learn how your computer is put together and what it might take to learn how to work on it yourself.
In the meantime, a new computer would probably be a good idea. Once you're back in business, you can decide what to do with the iBook. If it's only the hard drive, it may well be worth fixing and upgrading with a bigger hard drive. If you want to do this, you can post back with a new topic and there will be plenty of people to advise you.
    Good luck!

  • When I am talking on my new iphone 5s, the phone make a vibrating/buzzing sound over and over again.  Do I need a new phone or can this be resolved?

It is intermittent but it is terrible!  It's only a week old!

        jpink,
Lets put an end to this vibrating/buzzing. Have you noticed if there are any notifications coming through when the phone is vibrating while on a call? Does this only happen when speaking to specific numbers? Please reset network settings and let us know if the issue persists... http://vz.to/1xoeZ7r

  • I have had my Iphone 4 for less than a week and daily it freezes and makes me restore

any one know why my iphone 4 constantly freezes. it wont let me go on certain aps or text then gets stuck with apple logo
restore works but then it happens again every day

Sounds like you have a corrupt app or software.  Restore AS NEW.  Then try without any 3rd party apps.  If the phone works, begin adding your apps back one by one and trying your phone between each new app to see which might be at fault.

  • Macbook freezes and makes weird repetitive noise

    Hi,
My macbook has been making weird repetitive noises when I'm on wireless internet. I'm not exactly sure it's the wireless internet that's the problem. Whenever I try to download something it happens, and I get the pinwheel. Then I can't do anything so I just restart.

Macs arn't designed to run with a full drive. They need plenty of space on the drive in order for virtual memory to work. At least 20Gb. If I were you I would make some space before you damage your Mac. If you don't know what the files are that are filling it, use a prog called What Size.
