My HP product is MINI 110-3105TU. I am running windows 7-32bit on my laptop. There are some problems which I'm getting during running it. Laptop do not videos well of 720p resolution or above. Also the latop hangs suddenly while running . Sir I want to know , how I can get over these problems. I have some questions regarding this :-
1. Is graphic card of my laptop is upgradable or not ?
2. How I can get date of purchase details as I have lost my bill?
3. Can I renew my product for HP free home service, if available any?

What is the failure that has necessitated the repair requiring a new motherboard? It's really not worth spending $1200 on a system that is 18 months old. A new W530 (or a refurb W520 on the outlet site) would cost only a bit more in my opinion.

I have laptop Toshiba P200-1JR, and I'm satisfied by performances.
Unfortunately, I have experienced few problems for which I'm not sure if they are hardware (manufacture) or driver (software) problem.
1. Display sometimes (maybe once a week) suddenly gets blank. Nothing special wasn't done previously, which shpuld be the trigger. Just at once. Only reboot helps.
2. The same as 1, but previously dislplay just for few second gets crazy. Some side lines (like magnetic interrups) are on screen.
I've just downloaded bunch of driver updates (haven't applied them yet), but I want to ask before is this problem already known?

Vladimir StefanovicI've applied most of the updates available on Toshiba site for this model, including BIOS update.
But the problem persists!
The screen started blinking uncontroled for about 15 seconds, then it become completely blank.
Then I've pressed Power button [Sleep mode], and again the same button [Wake from sleep], and the machine continued working normaly.
I'm not sure but I think that previously (before BIOS update) I had to restart the machine in order to get it work again.
I'm interested if anyone here had similar problem?
(I ask this because I want to know should I return it to salesman or should I wait for some update) -
Envy 15 laptop will not shutdown after installing windows 10
After installing windows 10, laptop will not shutdown , and cannot wake from sleep mode. I have to hold power button in to turn off .

You may need to enable the duplexer hardware as described in the Vista Duplex Printing Troubleshooting Guide. There is also a link there to the patches for Vista back side upside down. When you have the duplexer enabled please post here about the results printing a duplex page. If the back side is upside down the Vista patch can be applied.

2007 MBP sudden thermal shutdown
I have a 2.16 first-gen Macbook Pro (Core Duo) that has recently become unusable. It will suddenly and abruptly shut down and at the same time turn both fans full on. Initially this would only happen under heavy load (encoding video), but it became more and more frequent, and now it happens typically within a minute of rebooting.
Running Apple Hardware Test usually finds no problems, although I have occasionally seen 4SNS/1/400000000 TCOP (CPU temperature
sensor out of bounds). The scenario sounds very much as if the system is detecting over-temperature in the CPU and going in to a safe shutdown to avoid permanent damage.
I've seen this problem associated with failed fans, but both my fans are working, verified by listening and also by smcFanControl. I've also installed various temperature monitoring software; the CPUs can be relatively cool just before the shutdown (e.g. 60\deg C), but they do show some surprisingly rapid spikes, especially the Core A temp sensor - maybe a jump of 20 \deg in a second, then rapidly back down again.
Since I bought the machine in May 2007 it is out of warrantee, although I bought it with AppleCare.
I tried turning off the second core using the Processors control panel, but this didn't stop the shutdowns.
One odd thing is that after booting into Apple Hardware Test from the install DVD and running the "extended" test (which generally reports no errors), then rebooting into MacOS, I can usually get a few minutes' of use, versus a few seconds for any subsequent restart.
I'm guessing the temp sensor is simply malfunctioning, or somehow noisy. Is there any known way to defeat the sudden thermal shutdown routine?
Or it could be a breakdown of the thermal chain to the heatsink. Has anyone heard of this?

I am trying to open my iTunes on a Windows XP laptop and get the error message 42404 "iTunes application could not be opened. Please repair or reinstall QuickTime". I did that and it did not help. Any ideas?

I have lightroom 5.7 and a macbook pro 10.9.5. Occasionally when I am editing a photo in the develop module, I suddenly get a "file not found" message and the editing ceases to work. There is no "exclamation" icon below the histogram box in the Library module or on the photo in grid view, and the histogram is gone. What is going on? Trying to find it using the "find missing photos" in the library menu does nothing.

I am suddenly getting an error message when i try to start up final cut pro 7. it won't let me anymore, saying i don't meet system requirements. this started after I hooked up my lacie external drive and found the shortcut button to not be working properly. i then turned off my computer and safe started it. that didn't help. so i downloaded a new lacie shortcut button software. then i could no longer start final cut. also, my screen shots on my desktop appear blank when i try to open them now.
if your using the Lacie as a scratch drive for Final Cut, uninstall the backup software and blue button control utility to use the drive properly to save and read media files.
Lacie blue button drives are for automated backup and dont perform with FCP

Just bought brand new new iMac. When browsing in Safari, sometimes the text suddenly gets super large. I'm doing nothing except reading the screen, tho I usually have my hand resting lightly on the mouse. I can get back to normal size by clicking "actual size" in View. But then it does it again a minute or two later. What gives? Something seems defective--but what?
From System Preferences, Mouse, Point & Click, Secondary click. Go to it hover over Secondary click and watch the short video sequence change it left right, left right, you will see exactly what is does. No I do not think your Mouse is defective, you simply need to take control of your Mouse finger.

I tried to play my iTunes and suddenly get an error message that says "The song (name) could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it now?" It happens on each tune I select and a "?" appears beside the song. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I was not complete clear.
Since you never changed the settings in the advanced section of iTunes preferecnes, you have to chech that your music is really in the location setted in the folders reported in the advanced section. If not you have 2 ways: reset the position of this folders or in the actual disk organisation or in the pointing on the preferences.
If you press the reset button you just give to itunes its default setting as for the position of the music files: probably this will be a good choice if you have never changed any default preference.
But before I would check the folders and see if the songs are really there

What laptop to get for CS5 or CS6...
Increasingly there appear questions about which laptop to get for CS5/6.
First, the question is why a laptop and why not a desktop?
Laptops are always at least 2 to 3 times slower than a desktop, they are significantly more expensive than a desktop with the same or better performance and they need a wall outlet to use. Batteries don't last long enough for editing and you need a wall outlet for external components (disks, monitor, BD-R etc.) that are required. All that makes a laptop more like an expensive, underpowered luggable machine.
For video editing machines it is always best to use a machine for video editing only and use a second system for other applications and this is especially true for much weaker laptops than desktops.
So, let me repeat the question: What are the considerations to use a laptop over a desktop? You have to be very clear about it to sell the idea to the one responsible for the budget. You also have to be clear about the performance penalty, if you decide to go forward with a laptop.
OK, we got this out of the way. You have good arguments to get a laptop and you have succesfully sold the idea to the one responsible for the available budget.
So what are your choices and what do you need to look for in terms of specs?
First, let me remind you of the article Adobe Forums: What PC to build? An update... because it contains a number of relevant issues that influence your choice. Basically there are three approaches possible:
Get a laptop from a brand company like Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba and the like.
Get a customizable laptop from specialist companies like Sager or Clevo.
Get a custom builder like ADK Video Editing build you a system tuned to your needs.
All these solutions have a number of common components, under the assumption you want to edit HD material:
CPU: at least a quad core i7 processor, preferably with hyper-threading. The faster the better.
GPU: at least a nVidia GTX 660M or better with 1+ GB DDR5 memory.
Disks: at least 2 internal 7200 RPM disks.
Connections: minimum is eSATA plus USB3 ports.
Monitor: at least 1920 x 1080 resolution and 15.4" screen size or bigger.
Memory: bare minimum is 8 GB but workable is only 16 or 32 GB.
Looking at brand names one may come up with a short-list like:
Now, in their standard configurations they are all lacking on some aspects. Insufficient memory, only single disk, or lacking connections. If these can not be configured to meet the above practical minimum requirements, where at least 2 disks is the most crucial, there is only companies like Sager and Clevo to look at. Something like this is about bare minimum, because of the underspecced video card:
Despite the price this will still be around 3 times slower than an equally priced desktop. If that performance penalty is too big, then one can consider a system like this:
Again, despite the price, this system will still be more than 2 times slower than a far less expensive desktop, but hey, you knew that when you decided on a laptop and got approval for the budget, right?
The last option is to go to a custom builder to get a laptop that is exactly tuned to your needs and budget. It will not be less expensive than the Sager route, but it will get you the best balance between performance and price for your needs. Additionally, you get great service if ever needed.
To sum this up, a laptop is a compromise. A compromise in performance and price. It is not for the faint of heart, faint of wallet. It is not a laptop, it is a luggable system on a wall outlet. An alternative is coasters under a desktop system and you can use other wall outlets as well, but with a better price and far better performance.
I hope this will help people to decide if they really need a laptop and if affirmative, to get the right system for their needs.As usual, Harm has provided very knowledgeable and helpful advice in this matter. I would like to add that if you are inclined, and feel it's worth a gamble.....New Egg has been selling refurbished Asus i7 laptops that have almost all the necessary components for a lower price than normal. You may have to add more memory yourself and add a quality SSD for OS and programs and pagefile, ( cloned from the supplied drive). Then, use the supplied drive for media and all else in the second bay....or, as an emergency backup of your original configuration. I am not sure,but I think if you put a second Marvell controlled SSD in the second bay instead,( Corsair Pro or Plextor Pro...no Sandforce), you may get the benefit of SATA III speeds from BOTH drives for best laptop performance.....I am not sure if earlier criticisms of SSD degradation still apply with these newer Marvell controlled SSDs.
I DO know that my old Asus G73JW tested MUCH FASTER on Harm's PPBM5 benchmark when I added extra memory,( from 8 to 14GB ), AND used a Corsair Force 120GB SATA II SSD in each of the two internal drive bays. On that site you can see similar laptops to mine performing way slower using less memory and conventional spinning HDDs. At the time, I was careful to choose SSDs that had a high read AND write speed. I have had no issues with my SSDs. I also have used the Seagate Momentus XT hybrid HDD as project drive.....and scored lower on the PPBM test,( not submitted).
Harm is right.....any laptop will not approach the performance of a good desktop setup....not to mention PPro CS 6 appears to be even more powerful and demanding than the 5.03 I'm using. People are reporting needing at least 32GB memory and more than 2GB video card memory to get better performance.
Someone posted about Exotic PC selling upgraded laptops, ( some Asus) with up to 32GB memory and muliple HDD configurations....you may be able to upgrade a laptop similarly yourself for less money. Watch the sales at Tiger Direct and New Egg....you may find some thing workable. -

That is more than quicktime and iTunes. Follow all the instruction in the link for removing and reinstalling the Apple software. -
On my HP laptop I get the following when booting up every time: "Apple Syn Notifier-Entry Ponint Not Found. The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll
I have to clear this everytime I boot up?With that one, perhaps first try uninstalling and reinstalling your MobileMe control panel. Does that clear up the error?

I am using Windows Vista with Outlook 2007 and iCloud. Everything has been great until this morning. I'm suddenly getting the message "Set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened. I tried running the repair utlity to repair the iCloud however I am still getting this error message.
