My laptop that was synced to my ATV crashed. Will I loose all content?
I have bought many movies on my apple tv before and after my laptop crashed. When I go to delete this old laptop from my apple tv, that I can no longer sync with, it says I will loose all content. I have purchased this content with the same itunes account that is on my new computer but I can't get it onto my new computer unless I can sync, which I can't do unless I remove the old computer from the apple tv. I know this problem would have been solved if I had purchased my content on this new computer but that defeats the purpose of the apple tv. My question is, the content that I have purchased after my last sync on the old computer that crashed, will it remain on the apple tv or will it be deleted?
anything you purchased on the appletv that hasn't synced back to itunes yet should not be deleted.
any content that came from itunes (ie synced to appletv) will be deleted from the appletv when you link it to a new library.
you cannot recover that data from the appletv as the appletv is not your primary storage location for itunes content.

iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library. -

I used to share an Itunes account but I recently made my own through my phone. I have all my stuff from my phone backed up on the computer on my old Apple ID/Itunes account. I want to back up all my current content on my phone to my NEW Apple ID/Itunes account but I'm afraid things will erase if I try to do so. How can I do this and still keep all the content on my phone currently?
You can't back up iTunes store content to a different account on your oomputer.

I just got new ipad mini....I want to delete all of the music that was synced from my itunes account. I have went through and deleted some songs one by one but some have a cloud icon with a red arrow on them.....is there a simple way just to delete them?
Yes there is. Those songs are not actually on your iPad. They are in iCloud ready for download if you choose to do so. If you want to remove them go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Show All>Music>Off. You can also do this in Settings>Music>Show All Music>Off.

Is there a way to get back lost information on a phone that was synced to the wrong itunes account
is there a way to get back lost information on a phone that was synced to the wrong itunes account? My sister and I share a computer and she accidently did the itunes restore on her phone under my name so all of my contacts, apps, ect are on her phone and all of her info is gone. Is there a way to undo the reset? PLEASE HELP!!!
She can restore to a previous backup, if she has one. Or she
can restore via iCloud if she has that setup. -
I have a ipod 2nd gen that was synced to a computer that i no longer have access to...now when i plug it in to my new computer it shows the ipod but wants to erase all my music on the ipod in order to use itunes!!!
I think that's the way it's supposed to work. When you connect to a computer that has iTunes, but is different from the computer you are normally synced to, you are asked if you want to sync to the current computer. If you say yes, it will replace the content of your iPod with what is designated to sync in the iTunes. If you say no, it will leave your content alone, but you won't be able to load any new songs, but you can still use it in disk mode as a storage device.
The exception is that you can transfer your iTunes store purchases to the new computer from the iPod, but I haven't done that myself. I'm not sure, but I don't think you can transfer non-store tracks, like those you burn from your own CDs. You have to copy those manually and then sync them onto the iPod.
Anyway, that's how it works with a 6th gen and the latest iTunes. Not sure if there is a limitation with 2nd gen. -

My I-Phone has music on it that was synced from an I-Tunes library from a previous computer (which is no longer in use) AND purchases from the I-Tunes store. I would now like to transfer ALL of that music (not just the purchases from the I-Tunes store) into the I-Tunes library that I've established on a new computer.
Can that be done, and how (I've attempted without any success)?
Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!!Contact iTunes support and explain your situation to them. They may let you redownload it at no cost.

If they don't, I'm afraid you'll have to purchase it again. Sorry.

Hey there, I have an iPhone 3g that was synced to my computer. My computer got stolen with all my music on it. I have a new computer but I can't sync my computer to my iPhone. How can I recover everything that's on my iPhone 3g to my computer?
If your backup copy of your computer was not stolen, then use it to put everything back.
Otherwise, authorize your computer for your itunes account, connect iphone, do not sync, Click: File>Transfer Purchases
This will transfer itunes purchases from the iphone to the computer.
Enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the new computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data. -
How can i get software off my mac laptop that was put on there by accident ?
how can i get software off my laptop that was put on by accident
Either use the uninstaller provided by the developer or, if there is no uninstaller, simply trash the software - be aware that some auxiliary files may remain, depending on the software.
What type of software is this anyway?

HT1212 How do I unlock a disabled ipod that was synced with a different computer?
How do I unlock a disabled ipod on a Macintosh computer that was synced with a different computer?
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
