My laptop with my iTunes on it has died. I have iCloud and an iPad so can I use that instead? Do I simply log in with my apple id? Also I have a new iPhone how do I sync that up? Will my old iPhone be saved on iCloud? Thanks
My laptop is broken, hard disk failure. It's gone to the hospital but it will require a new hard disk. I have an iPod. I also have iCloud which everything ( I think) has been backed up to. I have an new iPhone and need to sync it up. Can I sync it to my iPad? So I can retrieve the back up? Scratching my head a bit!

As far as I know there is no difference, we use the same charger for iphone, ipad, ipod, etc.. and no problem.

iOS info is in the Settings>About section of the phone. iTunes info is in Help>About. What version of the iPhone are you using? However that version of Outlook is not supported anymore. That would probably answer your question.

Have you tried resetting the SMC? The SMC (System Management Controller) has control over the charging function, so resetting it may help. -
IMy wife and I have new Iphones, and we have multiple google calanders for her work schedule and kids appointments as well as one for my stuff, with our droid phones we could share, view and edit allof the calanders on each phone. can I do the same thing with the iphone, if so how?
Go to http://calendar.google.com/iphoneselect and check off the calendars that you want to appear on your iPhone.
Wait about 10 seconds, and then go to your iPhone, open the calendar app, and click on the Calendars button and you should see all the calendars you checked listed. Tap them to get a check mark and they will appear in the app. -

hi my laptop with my itunes lubrary has crashed so i got a new one but i dont want to sync my iphone to the new laptop incase i lose all my songs on my iphone. how do i sync to a new one without losing everythingThe right way is to restore the backup that you kept of your old computer onto your new one. If it is too late for that before you do anything set up a backup process for the new one so when it crashes (note I said "when", not "if") you won't be faced with this problem again.
In lieu of that the apps already mentioned will help you get content off the phone if it was not purchased from iTunes. But it it WAS purchased from iTunes just connect the phone to your new computer, Authorize iTunes on the new computer and choose "Transfer Purchases" from the iTunes file menu. -
I have just bought the new iPad but can't see how I would sync all my iPhone photos that are stored on iCloud onto my iPad. Can someone help?
Photos on the camera roll can be included in an icloud backup from an iOS device (if camera roll is turned on). But getting the photos back from a backup is risky. Many users have performed restore operations from a backup only to discover the photos were not returned. icloud is primarily used to sync photos to other devices using photo stream - but only new photos taken after the stream is turned on in Settings>icloud will actually be synced, not old photos.
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album). You can then sync the photos to the iPad.

I have a new powerbook and want to give my girlfriend my old G4 power book, she has a new iphone 5s, and wants to create a new itunes/apple id. When i try to de authorize the G4 and sign in with her new apple ID it says bad password, how can i release the G4 from my cluster of authorized apples and make her the owner so she can download music and more importantly sync her music with her phone, she only has 3 songs on her iphone, and loaded all her CD's into the g4 but cant sync, im no dummy and this shouldnt be hard, but its driving me crazy!!!!!!

To transfer purchases from device to computer:
Connect device, syncing is not necessary.
Select File > Transfer purchases.
If you have never synced with this computer or the device is synced to another computer, you will NOT be able to sync with this computer without replacing the library. -
i transfered my music into my new mac into itunes media folder from an external, but it dosnt show in itunes. I have to click on each one to activate it on itunes. there has to be a better and easier solution. help
Thank you for your prompt response - I did as you said and did a drag and drop into the iTunes window - it imported and got my album art from the net. When I started Itunes with the shift key down I was prompted to choose a library but since I copied over the media folder and not the library folder I was unable to select that so I guess I will have to create a new library and add in all the music, videos, etc. unless I wait for my laptop and export the library or at least that seems to be the case? In short, all my data (iTunes media folder) is on my external drive and can be added to the blank iTunes screen but I can not choose a library folder. Is there anyway around completely making all those playlists again? I am not sure my laptop will survive the shop with data intact and really hate to start over on those.
In an unrelated question - I collect old TV shows from the 1950's. Can I make playlists within the home video folder somehow? In other words like one for Quiz shows, one for comedies, one for police and detective shows, etc. while I am remaking all my playlists for my music if I end up having to go that route?
Once again thank you for helping me out. I am not too Itunes savvy and really appreciate you taking the time to answer.
