Hello!
HP understands that Microsoft has released a Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Beta) version. HP is not currently supporting any Windows Consumer Preview (Beta) operating system versions.  If you have any questions about the Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Beta), may I refer you to Microsoft's website at: www.microsoft.com?

Any idea ? (i tried every tips on HP support)
I tried Universal Driver, it's ok as workaroung but i need to make all functions working (scan, etc ...)

Je suis bon, Il fait très beau!
I would recommend uninstalling the software (if any has installed) and restarting the PC. Then follow the link below and select your operating system to be directed to the most appropriate software and drivers for the printer.
    http://goo.gl/3RRkl
Try doing the installation from this software, and another thing to note - if you are outside of the States you should select your appropriate country from the country select option in the bottom left hand corner of the webpage.
Let me know if this helps!

  • Installing Adobe CS6 on Windows 8 (2012) Consumer Preview

    Hello,
First off, yes I know it isn't supported by Adobe (yet), however, I want to present to you my case for future users.
I have been investigating an issue I have ever since I got an Error 101 with Adobe Download Assistant where after extracting, I get an error from "Set-up.exe" that it failed to initalize. What is even more interesting is that CS5 trial can run smoothly.

5/23/2012 11:37:36 [FATAL] Setup - Unable to initialize. Error parsing setup.xml file
Meanwhile, the log even said that "Reboot is pending", and I have rebooted several times and also tried to find the registry key "InProgress" myself. There was no sign of that key anywhere.
    Solutions I have tried:
    Rebooted
    Deleted Adobe OODE directory
    Used Adobe CS cleaner tool
Redownloaded trial from Assistant Manager and directly from trial2.adobe.com
Checked to see I had enough disk space. (My partition has 250 GB left).
I am an admin, and ran the program under administrator.

I haven't seen any success trying to run CS5 or CS6 under Windows 8 Consumer Preview yet.
For CS6, It turns out that the whole problem was a corrupted .7z file from Adobe Download Assistant. I even downloaded the CS6 Master Collection .7z and the Web .7z directly with Chrome & IE 10. I don't know how they became corrupted in the first place with these many options.I managed to get it working from downloading the extracted files from another source. After that, every program worked, including Dreamweaver with no compatibility mode.
For CS5, it is also the corruption of the .7z file. Again solved by getting a unextracted source to get it working on Windows 8 Consumer Preview. CS5 works perfectly on my system too.
try in compatibility mode... even dreamweaver never opened directly in my windows consumer preview machine. after running compatibilty assistant and saving compatibility for xp-sp3 it worked perfectly
    Simply, no.
Jeff, Adobe did well and I like the improvements the team made. I can tell you that the entire Adobe CS6 does work well with Windows 8 Consumer Preview (fully updated) smoothly.

  • How do I install my color laserjet 2605 dn on my windows vista laptop.

I have been using an HP Color Laserjet 2605 dn on my aging Windows XP computer.  Now that the system is becoming unreliable, I purchased a new HP desktop with Windows 7.  My printer is not compatible with Win7, so my other option is to use it on my HP laptop with Win Vista.
According to what I have read,  this printer should be Windows Vista compatible.  However, when I try to install the software, I keep getting an error message that I need to be logged on as administrator or I can choose "run as administrator" or something like that.  I followed all those steps, and cannot get past this error message.  And, I AM logged on as administrator.
What can I do to get this software installed and use the printer again?  It prints wonderfully, does everything I want, including automatic duplex printing.
    Thanks for any help.

I have tried to install my HP color laserjet 2605 dn on my windows 7 operating system and I get an administrator error

  • Cannot install Windows 8 Consumer Preview on MacBook Air 11" (Late 2010)

Hi, I'm trying to install Windows 8 Consumer Preview on my MacBook Air 11" (Late 2010 model) via Boot Camp assistant. I've hacked the Info.plist of the Boot Camp Assistant to allow it to create a bootable USB installer drive. After successfully creating the USB, the laptop proceeds to reboot itself but it never loads up the Windows installer. However, if I restart it while holding Option, and selecting EFI boot, the installer loads up. However, once it loads, I cannot install Windows 8 Consumer Preview to the Boot Camp partition because of this error: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks. Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. WIndows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS. Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."
Can anyone guide me through steps that would hopefully resolve this problem? Thank you in advance

  • Windows 8 Consumer Preview 32-bit not installing with Disk Utility

I have a late-2011 13" MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.7.4). I downloaded the Windows 8 32-bit Consumer Preview ISO from the Microsoft official website (so there is nothing illegal there) and I am trying to burn it to a Maxell 4.7GB (up to 16x) DVD-R using Disk Utility. I moved the ISO to the left menu and I selected it. When I press Burn, Disk Utility pops up an error message and says "'Unable to burn Windows8-Consumer-Preview-32bit-English.iso.' (not recognized)" Am I doing something wrong?
Also, it would also be cool if someone could tell me how to install Windows 8 Consumer Preview 32-bit (English) the easiest way. You really don't have to do this but is this guide (http://reviewnotepad.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/how-to-install-windows-8-on-a-mac- with-bootcamp/  and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYiR-4jqMuM&feature=related) and video accurate?
Thanks for all the help in advance!!

  • Kernel error in Windows 8 Consumer preview install

I tried to install Windows 8 Consumer preview on my Macbook Pro 13" 2011 so far with no success. What I got is this message that this computer need repair, kernel is missing or corrupted. Before this, I installed the developer preview and used it for a number of months without any problem. What could be the problem with the Consumer Preview? I saw in the forums that it can be installed in this system and other have actually installed it.
I also tried to install the EFI Firmware update 2.3 and 2.7, hoping that I can install the Consumer Preview after. But it don't install. The message say that it is not supported in this system. But in the discription of the update it is compatible with Macbook Pro early and late 2011 with OS X Lion 10.7. What could be the problem?

No reason and I would not update firmware unless it comes listed in OS X Software Update.
It should. But Windows will detect or stumble on hardware, like defects in RAM that OS X Lion is blissfully unaware of. Any 3rd party? worth running Memtest either in OS X terminal or from the Windows DVD (Windows 8 has a good memory diagnostic utilty now too).
The partition table, the system reserved space for Windows that was 100MB is now 300-350MB partition.
And you already know to burn the DVD at the slowest burn speed.
CP should be as easy as DP was.
A VM like VirtualBox is easier but.... and one or two Apple drivers may have trouble but that is after 8 gets installed.
What program are you in when the "not supported" comes up? Boot Camp Assistant?
Are you using the ISO or the Setup? there are both and to do a clean install you need ISO.
If you would prefer not to use Windows 8 Consumer Preview Setup, you can download Windows 8 Consumer Preview in ISO format instead.

Having issues with my Laserjet CP1215 printer under Windows 10 preview. I am able to print locally but cannot connect successfully using a windows share over my local network. Are there any updated drivers for this printer and Windows 10?

  • HP LaserJet CP1215 HP Toolbox missing for Windows 8.1

    Hi,
I would like to ask if I understand it right that there is no HP Toolbox for HP LaserJet CP1215 in Win 8.1. I am missing that very much as I quite often used quality of printing using calibration tool. And also it was quite nice to see how much of witch colour was left.
Am I right with that or there is something I don´t understand right?
And if yes, is there any possibility that in the future there will be created this software for Win 8.1?
    Hi Jana

    Hey @Rikyhamstery!
    Not a problem!
Although I can't give any sales advice I can still provide a link to comparable LaserJet printers compatible with the newer operating systems.
Here are the specs for your current LaserJet CP1215: HP LaserJet CP1215 Specs
Here is a link to the HP website for LaserJet printers: HP LaserJet printers
You can go through the list of printers and select details and compare them to the one you currently have.
From what I can find the ones that look most comparable to your current printer are:
HP LaserJet Pro 400 color Printer M451nw
HP LaserJet Pro 200 color Printer M251nw

  • HP Color Laserjet CP1215 won't print on local computer

    I am using Windows XP.
I have an HP Color LaserJet CP1215 connected to my computer by a USB cable.  It has printed many times, but I don't use it often.  I turned it on this morning to print an excel spreadsheet in color.  I use an HP Laserjet 4100 connected on a regular printer port for most of my printing.  Anyway this printer will not print from any program.  It will not print a test page.  I turned it off and on; restarted my computer; switched out USB cables; downloaded a new driver from HP.  I also download the diagnostic tool from HP and when it scans it, it finds it and says it is fine, but it will not print a test page from the diagnostic tool.  I have stopped the printer spool and restarted it.  I have done absolutely everything I can think of or that I have seen as a solution on HP.com and in my windows printer diagnostic tool.
The weird thing is it prints when connected to another computer.  I hauled it to another office and connected it to another computer (Windows 7) and when connected it told me there was a problem with the driver, so I downloaded a driver from HP.com and it worked fine.   The REALLY weird thing is I can share it on my computer, go to another office, add it as a network printer and it works.    Why would it work as a shared printer, but not work for the computer to which it is physically connected?
When I attempt to print, the document shows up in the printer spool and says "printing."  Then after a few minutes, it says "deleting" even though I have not manually deleted it.
Anyone have any ideas?  I am fresh out.  I hate to think I have to walk to another office in my building to print to a printer that is right beside me.    Although it may be a good exercise.

I am currently in the same boat. I love how you posted this legitimate issue 3 years ago and there is still no resolution. It really reflects on the company's character and attitude toward their customers.
Hopefully this will get a response.
