My library deleted some of my songs in iTunes!!

My library deleted some of my songs and when I go to the iTunes to see if I purchased them it says I never purchased those songs. The songs are on my iPod, but I want all of them back on my library. I can't seem to figure it out, can anyone help me?

If you bought them from iTunes (and you are logged in with the same iTunes account that bought them, you haven't changed countries since buying them, and it's the same versions that you bought that are still in the store) then you should be able to redownload them by clicking on your name towards the top right of the iTunes screen (assuming that you are using the current version of iTunes) and clicking on Purchased on the popup :
If not and if they are iTunes store purchases then connecting the iPod and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option should copy them back.
Or do you have them on your backup of your downloads/library - if you do then you can add them to your iTunes library from that via File > Add To Library

The message means what it says. iTunes can't find the actual music files. You can confirm that by trying to play the songs in iTunes on the computer.

Because you purchased some of the songs when they were sold as DRM ( protected ) - pre itunes plus, and you bought some of the songs when they were sold as non-drm - itunes plus.
You can check quick links in the itunes store to see if you have itunes plus upgrades available for purchases.

No one hear has any idea why you are having a problem without a lot more information. Have you checked Sync only checked songs? Have you checked "Manually manage music and videos"? Are ANY songs transferrring, or None? Are all of the songs purchased with the same iTunes account? ARE they purchased iTunes songs or from another source? Are you using the same computer all the time (the iPhone can sync music from only one computer at a time)?

Some of my songs in iTunes show up but they won't play. I get the message that my computer isn't authorized to play them when I only have one computer.

I recently did the update for iTunes and after I did that I got the error message: MSVCR80.dll file not found. I followed the suggestions from someone in this community to fix it and now some of my songs aren't playing. And they are the ones that I purchased from iTunes not CDs that I have and ripped to my iTunes library. I can see the songs listed in my iTunes library as well as on my iPod but yet they won't play. On my computer I get the message that this computer is unauthorized to play them and to authorize it. I only have one computer, so I have no idea why I'm getting this message. It sounds like you have some songs in your library that are not playing, and when you try to play them you are being told the computer is not authorized to play them. I would start by verifying that your computer is still authorized, and take note of the Apple ID that you sign in with:
To authorize a computer, follow these steps:
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Authorize This Computer from the menu bar.
You may need to show the menu bar to see this option in Windows. In earlier versions of iTunes, you can access this option from the Advanced menu.
Enter your Apple ID and click Authorize.
If your Apple ID uses an expired MobileMe account, you can still authorize your computer.

If the issue persists, next I would use the following article to double check that these songs were purchased under the same Apple ID you used to authorize the computer:

Open iTunes
Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
Choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
If it is the same Apple ID then I would next delete the song, and re download it from your purchased history, with this article named:

I tried deleting a bunch of songs from iTunes after downloading the newest version. After deleting them they're 'hidden' on iCloud and still show up on my phone which I do not want these at all the begin. So how do I delete these songs?

I have read a little and something about iTunes Match... I'm not about to spend $24.99 just to delete some songs off of the cloud.

Go to Settings > Music and make sure "Show All Music" is off. Then only actually downloaded music will be displayed. With it on, you can see all your music stored in the Cloud as well. That music will always be in the Cloud (until such time as you download it) but it isn't present on your device.

My iPod will not transfer some of my songs from iTunes

Help! Everything was going good until I updated iTunes with the new version. Then when I tried to sync with my iPod, a message box popped up saying that the sync would not transfer some of my songs because the software in my iPod was too old. So, I downloaded the latest version of the iPod software and insalled it. But I am still not able to transfer some of the songs and am continuing to get the dialog box that says my iPod software is too old.

Entire Music Library deleted when upgraded to 7.1 itunes, on Vista. HELP!

I'm using a ipod nano, and I'm only able to get back a portion of my purchased music and none of the music that I have added from a CD. Is there any way, without having prior copied all music from the library to my ipod, getting it back in my library? This is complete BS.

If it was just taken out from your iTunes Library and not your computer, You can simply drag and drop the iTunes folder or open up your Playlist file (iTunes Library file).
Seeing as though you have Windows, I would put a random song into iTunes.
Go to File>Reveal in Explorer (something like that)
Then go up a few levels till you find the root of all your music.
Drag that folder into iTunes and wait a while.
If you find a file that say's playlist or iTunes Library around there, try to open that file first.
If there's an XML file, maybe you can File>IMport that file and see if it works.

What format are they and what iPod are you using? Some formats that play in iTunes are not compatible with the 1st generation iPod shuffle, Aiff and Apple Lossless for instance. Apple Lossless is not supportted on the 2nd generation shuffle:

TS1702 some of my songs on itunes will not play

I purchased the Iphone5 and moved all my info, songs, apps from my Iphone 4 over to my new phone. Now most of my music will play but about 50 songs will show up on my iphone in my Music App but they will not play. I'm so frustrated. I can't figure out why they won't play. Can someone help me?
