My library keeps disappearing and I'm not using a sony
Every so often I open up i tunes and my entire library is gone. The files are still in the i tunes folder in the "my music" folder but no longer in i tunes. I use itunes to sync my iphone 3gs with outlook, pics, etc on the computer. I can't seem to find a pattern as to when or why it does it. It just happens. Sometimes my library will last a couple days and sometimes it will last a month but eventually it always disappears. I'm using a windows 7 machine (not a sony). Any thoughts or help would be great.
I am also having this problem with a PC with Windows 7. I have seen quite a few older posts on this problem, but nothing recent. I keep "reminding" itunes where the folder is (by going to file, add a file to folder, then clicking on my music in the itunes folder in my music), but since my library is pretty big, it's a good hour before I can listen to anything.
Now the latest is that the "puchased" section in the store section is not showing, so I can't get music purchased on my phone unless I take the time to sync it. And this after I just updated my itunes.

HELP! My footage keeps disappeared, and I am not deleting it!
Yesterday I was editing a 60+ min TV show and somehow, while zoomed in to a certain part of the timeline, the rest of my footage disappeared. I did not notice, because I was not fully expanded to view my entire timeline. All of the footage following the clips I was working with, disappeared. It has done this 2 more times. Footage keeps disappearing!
I was wondering if there is possibly some key I am accidentally pressing, that is making Final Cut do this? Or if it is some sort of bug, and if so, why it is suddenly acting up? I keep all of the episode in one project, on multiple sequences, and have never had this problem before.
Everything will be fine. I'll zoom in, re-edit a couple of clips, and zoom out to find more than half my footage just gone.

Do you mean my clips or *the* timeline? Yes, the timeline is "gray" as usual. Clips are normal. I'll attach a screen shot anyway, though I don't think it will help much. Everything looks normal, aside from the fact that a lot of footage is missing, which you won't be abe to tell. -

As above, I do not use MobileMe as I know it could be related from viewing other articles...
I can get them back by resyncing to my mac, however, as soon as I view my contacts, its seems the phone does a process and they all disappear again.
I tried, erasing all content and data on my phone and re-setting up as a new phone.
I tried, simply restoring from itunes completley.
I tried, importing from sim card, but nothing really appears.
Any help would be greatly appriciated....suggestions, anything.

Problem with iPhone 4s when ran out of battery. After charging and on main screen, Siri keeps telling me what I have on my main screen. I selected any icon and it's not responding except Siri telling me what it is. Nothing is happening. I cannot even move to next screen. I cannot use my phone totally. I need help. I turned off and on and not working.
It's not Siri that is talking, it is one of the accessibility features. If you can't go to Settings to change the accessibility settings you will have to restore the phone from Recovery mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

ITunes library keeps disappearing with network home directories&MacBookPro
I've been using iTunes with network home directories for years. My wife & I have network home directories on our Macs and we can log into any of our Macs with our network home directories. The actual iTunes Music folder is also on the network server and shared between our user accounts.
This has always worked fine with my G4 cube, my PowerMac G5 and my PowerBook. As long as I only open iTunes on one machine at a time, I can open it on any of my machines and everything works great.
However, with my new MacBook Pro, my library keeps disappearing and I have to reimport it from the XML file every couple of days. Seems to erase my iPod Shuffle too at the same time (maybe it's triggered by plugging in my iPod).
Any ideas? Is there an endian issue with the library?
I can't figure out how to get any feedback on what's happening. Is there a debug log file I can enable?
PowerMac G5, PowerBook, MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.7)I've got one better...I imported all my CDs onto iTunes. Then I upgraded. Here is what happened...All songs remained listed, however when I would click onto a song, a ! mark appears in front of the check mark and a window pops up saying "song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" Well this occurred on 75% of my songs. Apple info led me to believe I could use my iPod as a hard drive. So I tried hooking up the pod to my computer. Well, from 3688 songs, I was down to just over 200, so I guess that is an even higher percentage.
What iTunes did was made a folder in "my music" with years 1955 to 2007. In those different years folders are the CDs that were released in that year. They have to be opened, each individual song, and re entered to itunes. All this I discovered on my own. No help from Apple. Not to mention what a royal pain in the *** process, which I am still in the process of doing. And don't even get me started with Artwork -

If you're using an IMAP account, also check your other devices to be sure you don't have some filters or rules set up that either delete or move emails to subfolders. You can see all Emails on your iPad, but displaying the sidebar showing Mailboxes, tapping the email account you are having trouble with (NOT the Inbox, but the section below), then tapping All Mail or something similar depending on your provider.
If the mails are there, they are somehow being moved by one of your mail clients or by a rule you set up with your provider. -
my forward text message feature on IOS8 keeps disappearing and the only way I know to make it re-appear is by powering off and on my phone. Is there any other way to fix this?
I should also point out that when I connect my iPhone, it DOESN'T appear as a connected drive on the desktop. Not sure how this can be so, since the iPhone also has a drive and also functions as an iPod if I want it to. I must have changed some setting to achieve this non-appearance, but don't remember what I must have done.

My icons keep disappearing and then reappearing
I'm new to macs and this problem is confusing me, all of a sudden last night my desktop icons keep disappearing and then they reappear in the same place, but if i have a window open like Macintosh HD it closes it. When this happens it also switches from what im working on, like this message so I have to click back on it to continue.
This is happening alot and I was hoping someone could give me some info. or do I have to reinstall.....
Im used to having to do these things on PC's but not on macs.

I have a jetpack, and when I try to "connect" to my ipad or phone, it keeps telling me I am not using the correct password. I have tried everything. I even changed the password, nothing is working. Both are 4G, my ipad is an Air and my phone is a Iphone 5. I can get connected to other wifi on these features but not with my jetpack. Please help, I need to use this feature soon. Thank you so much
Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information. Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection. Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect. -
my ipod touch 4 camera icon has disappeared and even does not open in any applications.. have restored it and its running on 4.3.5 not jailbroken pls help??
it does not even appear in the search barIs the Camera turned on in Restrictions? Go to Settings>General>Restrictions.

Why do my recent phone contacts keep disappearing and re-appearing?
I recently bought an iPhone 4S and synced my contacts from my previous smart phone.
Now, the contacts I add get saved, but they keep disappearing and re-appearing automatically. This has been happening for almost a month now.
It is very embarassing when my new Manager calls up and I ask who he is.
Please help.So after the subscriptions disappeared yesterday, I resubscribed to Democracy Now! and Bill Moyers Journal.
This morning, I went to check iTunes... and two of the subscriptions were gone -- AGAIN! And the episode of Democracy Now! that remained behind was now listed under real Tim with Bill Maher.
I'm getting so frustrated with this... why am I having to re-subscribe to podcasts every day now? -
Top right hand of task bar icons keep disappearing and coming back. I cannot click on any of them as they just go. Also I cannot take screenshots any more. Macbook pro 2007 OSX Snow Leopard. Anybody any idea what is occurring?

Why does my library keep disappearing??
Ok, this is happening on a regular basis - I save all my music to an external HDD through iTunes, but sometimes when I start up iTunes the whole library has disappeared and in the Advanced tab, my file save location has reverted back to the C drive, meaning I've got to reload everything (and as I've now done this a number of times means I've got some files duplicated up to 7 times), and it also takes ages as I've got quite a bit of stuff.
It only does it on my area though, the wife's area is fine...
To say I'm getting narked off by it is a bit of an understatement, any help greatly appreciated!
