My life before SAP... and now
Hello, dear fellow consultants,
during last few weeks I have answered few threads and personal emails about how to start with SAP, how to become that dark and mysterious SAP consultant and started thinking about that a lot. I have written an article that I am going to post in a day or two, but before I do so, I would like to ask YOU, what would you recommend to a SAP wannabe, how one can start with SAP. And that is connected with my second question: I would love to hear the stories how did YOU start with SAP.
It is (a) a personal question, maybe this thread (b) can help some newbies and (c) I have read few stories about how people started to be active on SDN, but I don´t remember any story about how one started with SAP.
I welcome any inputs:)) And am sorry if I ask about your personal secrets (any you will have to kill me next:)))

Once I downloaded the KitKat upgrade, i was unable to read text messages or MMS messages. Battery life really short, and now I'm unable to get it to load, phone is unusable. took phone into the Version store, and they were not able to get it to work either..
I have 3 Motorola M on my account, one updated correctly, and one has not been updated to the new version. I have since taken the broken phone into the store, and they customer support people were not able to get it to load as well. Pretty much told me there is nothing they can do to make it work again, But I can buy a new phone at full price since I still have 6 months on my contract. Oh that's nice, I can see having to pay full price if the phone was broken by something I did, but not because of a software update. Its very frustrating and not right!

App store before iCloud and Now ?
Hi all, i am getting confused, although it is probably me not paying attention, but BEFORE iCloud i had the App Store on my Mac Book Pro with which i could purchase Apps for my Lap Top.
Also on my Lap Top i had iTUNES with which it was the ONLY way to purchase Apps for my iPad2 is that correct ?
Now iCloud is upon us, i see that on my Mac Book Pro things are the same, iTunes for Music and iPad2 apps and the App Store for my Lap Top Apps.
But on iPad2 ...... iTunes is ONLY for Music and the Ipad App Store is also for Apps ?
Have i got that right ?. please
I need to be clear on this before i get my new iPhone 4S, my very first iPhone.
timNo problem friend, it is all my fault really, all this miss-understanding, the main trouble is i have left it very late in life to get converted to Apple.
I have given myself a very steep learning curve i admit AND i am NEVER EVER going back from where i came from. I never gave it a thought of going over to Apple until i got made redundant over 18 months ago, at which time i had some money burning a hole in my pocket, I havent looked back since ....... except perhaps looked up the steep learning curve LOL.
But with all the wonderful help and advice i am getting from this Support Forum i aint giving up yet, when it comes, my new iPhone will no doubt be a new challenge.

I clicked to block ads before videos, and now I can't watch the videos
I wanted to avoid the commercials before viewing videos, but now all i get is a bland screen
The ads/video are part of the same element.
You'll need to re-enable the ads in order to see the video.
To re-enable something
- in Ad Block Plus: Click the ABP icon, select Open Blockable items. (blocked items will show up in red text) find the item you previously blocked, Right-Click and select "Add Exception rule for item"
- in NoScript: Click the S icon, select "Allow <whatever script runs the movie>" -

I upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 yesterday, and now my battery life has really deteriorated since.I was making it thru the day with about 70% battery life left. It is now 3:30 and I'm already down to 50%. The upgrade worsened my situation. Any help out there?
I had the battery problem. I upgraded the to iOS 5.0.1 last night and at least that problem seems to have been fixed. However, the problem with no audio on phone calls remains. Have not tried swapping the SIM card yet. The ATT guy says that they have resolved 90% of the no audio issues with a new SIM card. Not sure athat what has to do with anything but will try that first before requesting a replacement phone.

I can no longer import pictures to my ibook (OSX version 10.6.8) using iphoto 09 version 8.1.2 and now get message that file is in an unrecognizable format. What is wrong? Same camera as before.

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -
I bought my iphone 5s a week before and now its volume "up" button is not working when pressed.Does anybody know what to do to make it work?I have a one year warranty.Should i give it to apple retail shop or is there any way to solve this problem?
IF it is a manufacturing defect and you bought the device from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer, then take it into Apple.

i was backing up my iPhone and importing photos onto iPhoto at the same time , then suddenly it says no more space available (i had 48GB before i do this and now i have 18GB) i can't find the back up or the photo anywhere , how can i delete them ? i dont need the pictures or the back ups , i want to delete them but they are not there
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown asBackups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Reboot and it should go away.

You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size with the largest at the top. It may take a few minutes for ODS to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal. -

Please help me figure this out. I'm very unhappy at the moment. I'm fustrated and don't have any idea how to revert to the original version before the update was done on iMovie 10. I NEVER hated APPLE until NOW!! I love APPLE products and apps so please help me stay in that mindset. So I worked on some movie projects when I got my macbook pro 6 months ago. I update reguarly. I saw the update prompt and honestly, I did not think I would have ANY issuess with opening my previous files that I created only a few months ago with this updated version.The new updated version of iMovie 10 won't let me open my previous files I created before the update today. I have a wedding that I'm trying to finish and deliver and now I can't because that file version won't open. I keep getting an error message and the iMovie app closes. Last night I saw the file and tried to open it but no luck. Error message came up again. I reboot and turned off my laptop for the evening and tried again just now but nothing!! I need that video. My job depends on it! I worked so hard on this wedding video and now it's lost and won't open. I work another job and don't have much time. I really don't want to start all over again. Please help me. Thanks so much for your assistance.

Jolly A. RuppI also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
I am running Yosemitie on a iMac.

I finished adding my transtions to my timeline. I was having crashing issues so I shut down everything before I rendered the project and now it tells me that the project is unreadable or the file is too new for this version of final cut. What Happened?
What Happened?
No way for us to know. But if your system was crashing, there definitely was a problem. The FCE error message you got normally indicates the FCE project file has been corrupted. This probably happened due to whatever caused your system to crash & shutting down the system.
First, make sure your system is running correctly. Then, use the Finder to navigate to /users/yourusername/Documents/Final Cut Express Documents/Autosave Vault and find the most recent backup copy of your FCE project file. Copy the file to your Final Cut Express Documents folder (copy the file, don't just move it). Then double-click the copy to open it in FCE. It should open ok, but will probably not have your most recent edits (transitions). You may have to rebuild the transitions, but at least you will be back in action. -

I just PAID for Black eyed peas Time of my life and now iTunes says I can't put it on my iPod 5th gen ? What? Why? And how can I get it on my ipod? Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.
