Does it not work either way? Sending and receiving? Did you check the settings and make sure that nothing has changed? If you can receive email, but not send it, check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

HT4101 The camera connector suddenly stopped importing photos like it used to. Now it will import 1 or 2 photos and then **** off and revert to the desk top. The Sd reader works, but I miss the quicker option of the cord and connected.

I have two Canon Elph cameras. They both were easy to use with my IPad until two months ago when it suddenly stopped working on either camera/cord. It would check the new photos displayed on the screen and then shut down, import one or two, and go back to the desktop. Frustrating. The SD reader works, though. Is the camera connected faulty?

Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

Lightroom 5.3 stopped Importing photos and videos. Error message appears "Could not copy a file to the requested location."
I uninstalled and reinstalled LR 5.3. Problem still occurs. There must be residual problems not cleared out by the uninstall.
Any Ideas? I cannot even find a way to contact Adobe by phone or chat. Not even pay for support. Larry

Please state your operating system.
This message might mean either:
The hard disk is full
The folder on the hard disk that you are trying to copy the files to does not have WRITE permission

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

Hi, I had the same problem since yesterday. Apperently LR made a subdirectory on my destination-drive, which wasn't accesable for LR.
By reselecting my destination (in the upper-right corner) everything works fine again.
I can't explain the cause for this, because the problem occured when I wanted to import the second out of 3 sets of pictures I wanted to import.
The first set gave no problem at all, and the second one, just a few minutes later caused me all this trouble of desperatly seeking for an answer.
Hope it will be usefull for you as well.

Error 36 - When Importing photo's from a CF card

Help...I am trying to import photo's from a CF card to my G5 & my Macbook pro. I can import from a memory stick with no probs to either machine. I can see the thumbnail in preview but thats it, giving ERROR 36..
Has 10.4.7 something to do with this ??

Lightroom 5 not importing photos directly from card

I have Lightroom 5, and it's not importing photos directly from the memory card, either via card reader or with the camera plugged in. I have a Canon 60D, and am shooting in RAW.
LR5 opens, and the photos show up as thumbnail previews. I click to import, and I get a message that the files could imported because they could not be read. If I immediately go to the "my computer" icon, the card reader (or camera, whichever is plugged in) does not show up as being connected to the computer. If I unplug the card reader (or camera), let Lightroom open, then immediately go to the "my computer" icon before I try to import via LR5, the card reader shows up then. I have to drag the images from the card onto my desktop, then import the images to LR5.
Anyone know why LR5 is doing this?

Greyed out photos means you have previously imported the photos into Lightroom, and there is no need to import them again (nor is it a good idea to do so). You need to go to the Library Module (not the Import dialog box) and find the photos and use them as you want.
If you try to import a not-greyed-out photo, and it takes "forever", close Lightroom and try deleting your preference file: Preference and other file locations in Lightroom 5

I realise you can you can delete them on your ipod slowly as you have to click on each one, and you can restore your ipod, but surely there is a way to get around this?

Yes Camer Roll is there but not Photo Library. Photo option is also not available when attempting Sync via USB.

It's difficult to be sure without doing some network packet sniffing, but if it were another app syncing, it would be an awful coincidence, since it seems to happen only while I'm in Reminders.app -- as soon as I click the home button and go back to the home screen, it stops; when I launch Reminders again, it starts again.
Moreover, it happens when I am not in the house, which rules out iTunes syncing.
Note that it's not the syncing spinner (i.e. two arrows chasing each other in a circle) -- it's the data access spinner (like the wait spinner in many apps and the apple.com search box).
