My lightning connector is all twisted at the ends.
I didn't think I was twisting or kinking the cord when I used it, but I guess I must have been, and I'm being more careful now. But what can I do to fix this cord? Or is it okay? It looks the same at the USB end. I don't know if this is related, but recently I've been getting a message on my Macbook Air when I plug the iPod in to charge that says my USB device is drawing too much power and has been disconnected -- this is when the Macbook is plugged into the wall, and no other devices are attached. I think it's the cord's fault, because if I mess around with it some, it will still work.... Help?
Hello, You have a short. It appears the end has been stretched out... like maybe pulling the cable out by the cable and not from the plug end when unplugging from your iPod or trying to walk away with the iPod plugged in and jerking on the cable. Do not use it. Do replace it. If date of purchase is within 1 year, you maybe able to replace for free with the warranty, Apple would determine if it is abusive use or a defective cable, if abusive use or more than 1 year old, you will have to pay. Do you have an other cable it see if it works / charges OK? If not, buy or exchange for a different cable. Hope this helps, Good luck.

i clicked the download all button at the end of the list of my library iTunes which i believe is in the iCloud, i have iTunes match also, many downloads were reported as occurring over several hours and then received the warning startup disc is full (activity monitor shows 3.99 of 4 GB used) and then another stating the download had not occurred due to the disc being full. most of the tunes still appear to be in the cloud but the disc is said to be full, spent a good period of time trying to investigate what has happened but failed...I'm not well up on all of this as an old chap so any help would be wonderful.....

If you read the link I provided you'll get an idea of one way to maintain a backup of your music files, use Time Machine, and not take up as much room on the internal HDD/SSD.

Your internet connection speed has no effect on Time Machine/Time Capsule backups. Since that is all done locally, over your wireless network you actually do not need an internet connection at all.

You're asking about the computer's RAM. Increasing that will not increase the size of the internal storage available to the computer. You'd need to replace the HDD/SSD of the Mac, which, depending on what model you have may or may not be possible (with new models of Macs). -

The lightning connector for the iPod touch 5th Generation jiggles just slightly up and down in the iPod itself. I think the lightning connector is slightly smaller than the port which is why it jiggles, but I am not sure. Can you guys confirm my theory, or did I damage it.

The tip of Lightning connector became a bit twisted to one side
I've noticed recently that the tip of my lighting connector is twisted to one side. Is this problem common? Should I be worried about it?
I know it's kinda lame question but I've already heard some strange stories about the tip of lightning connector breaking right inside an iPad so I am a little bit worried in this regard. Better be safe than sorry. Thanks!I suggest purchasing a new Apple lightning to USB connector just in case the wiring in your old one is damaged. It may fail soon and a second connector will prevent a lot of anxiety.

HI, I am trying to connect my macbook pro, 18 months old, to a projector using the mini display port and a cable/connector to a VGA port on the back of the projector. It all fits but the there is nothing happening? no mirroring option. Any ideas appreciated. Many thanks
to get to the Detect Displays button you have to hold down the Option key and the button appears.

My phone is still under warranty but the service center said that it is voided due to the missing pins inside the lightning connector. What do i do with this? My phone can charge but you need to press on the cord a little for it to click. My cord is not the issue because I just bought it and it is brand new.
Well, your service is handled by an Authorized Apple Service Center. If they refuse to handle the claim, that is well within their rights. Apple as well could void a claim under the same circumstances. I'm not saying that you did or did not modify the device, but you could try and talk to a supervisor there and make another request. No, it is a reversible plug. Either way is fine.
Just make sure you plug it in straight until it "clicks" into place. It may take a bit of force if new, but check there's nothing in the port first. -

Automatically generated site connectors in Active Directory all default to the same site

I have a Single Forest/Single Domain configured with 17 sites. We are currently in 2003 native mode, but are upgrading to 2102R2. The schema has been upgraded and 3 site have been moved to 2012R2 domain controllers.
Each site has one domain controller, most are 2003 but the FSMO roles are on a Windows 2008R2 domain controller in Site1.
Our network is a mesh, but many site have different bandwidth speeds. In this case, Site3 has a 6mb connection to the network.
When I upgraded site3, I couldn't add the renamed replacement server to the domain. The demotion proceeded properly and the objects were removed from sites and services. I found I had problems with duplicate SPNs which were solved by removing the old and
new servers from AD. I still had problems with the new server and found that replication was now broken. We traced it down to to corrupt automatically generated site connectors that all still pointed to the now missing site3 domain controller. I was able to
setup manual replication connectors and then regenerate the automatic connectors, which now pointed to the (in my opinion) proper servers. I only have one manually created site connector to minor site that is not part of the mesh.
This behavior was noticed back in late 2012 when another replication problem occurred during maintenance and was fixed.
This morning I was working on Site4 when I noticed that all the automatically generated site connectors switched back to the new Site3 domain controller.
Can anyone help me determine why the system seems to prefer site3 as a hub. Is there some setting stuck or configured that would make site3 preferential? I want to avoid more down time if site3 has a problem.

This should be decided automatically by KCC. The Knowledge Consistency Checker (KCC), a process running on each domain controller, automatically identifies the most efficient replication topology for our network, based on information we provide
about our network in Active Directory Sites and Services.
The KCC runs at specified intervals to adjust the replication topology for changes that occur in Active Directory, such as when new domain controllers are added and new sites are created. The KCC reviews the replication status of existing connections to
determine if any connections are not working. If a connection is not working due to a failed domain controller, the KCC automatically builds temporary connections to other replication partners (if available) to ensure that replication occurs. If all the domain
controllers in a site are unavailable, the KCC automatically creates replication connections between domain controllers from another site.
