    You need Adobe camera raw version 8.7. Unfortunately your software pre-dates the camera. ACR 8.7 is only compatible with PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the free DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)
    Windows download (.exe file) click here DNG Converter 8.7
    Mac download (.dmg file) click here DNG Converter 8.7
    You can convert a whole folder of raw images in one click. See this quick video tutorial:

    Hi,
    Please provide more information ... such as:
    - What are you trying to do? e.g. "Trying to import images from CF Card I get this message"
    - What PC are you using? e.g. "Mac, PC, memory etc"
    It is quite a cryptic thread but it sounds like you are trying to import directly from a CF Card, if you are copy the images to the hard disk then import.

  • Read the raw image file

    I want to read the raw image file , i have the basic labview 8.0 version

    That is a broad question... I'll make some asumptions.
    I think you have a file with some raw image format. This can be quite a few formats. Every camera firm has it's own proprietry format. Often, when talking about a raw image, it is simply a 2d array of colors. So you'll have a file with numbers that are U8's that represent R G B, alpha R G B, B G R, etc., or a U32 that represent the same, combined in one U32...
    The data can be stored binary or ASCII. Both formats are handled differently.
    The ASCII format can be one large array of data, or seperated with enters for each scan line.
    In both cases, you might need to remove information, like height and width, from the data before parsing the image data.
    You can use the "Spreadsheet String To Array" to convert the a ASCII string to a LabVIEW 1D or 2D array. Or use "Read From Spreadsheet File.vi" to read the file directly as an array. Use Reshape Array to convert a 1D array to a 2D array.
    The binary file is a bit different. Use "Read Binary File". It will get you a string. This string is a converted array of U8, the string doesn't need to be ASCII. convert this string to an array of U8's, with "String To Byte Array". Convert the 1D array just like before.
    Now you have a 2D array. You can convert it into a pixmap with "Flatten Pixmap.vi". You can then display it in a picture control with "Draw Flattened Pixmap.vi".
    Regards,
    Wiebe.

  • Lightroom 3.4.1 will not read Olympus E5 Raw Files

    I have been using LR 3.4.1 since it was released. I tried out the Olympus E5 in a camera store yesterday, formated the card, set it for raw, nothing. I'm running a mac, and the images don't even show in finder. Anyone have an idea what could be going on.

    The icons don't matter as they have nothing to do with your issue.
    You didn't answer the questions I asked earlier. Without answers we're trying to guess what it is that you're actually seeing.
    Again, the question was - do you mean that the files don't appear at all or they have generic icons?
    Also, how are you copying the files from the memory card? Direct cable conenction or card reader? Are you importing via Lightroom or just dragging them from the memory card to the hard disk.

  • Reading an external property file for adapter configurations (How-To)

    One thing that has bugged me is having to change an Adapter's property settings in the context file and then build and re-deploy the bundle to effect those changes. This really becomes a problem when you want to test a bundle in different server environments (Development, QA, Staging) and then finally deploy that same bundle to Production. Here at EnerNOC, all those environments have different message servers and database schema names, making it a real challenge to insure you're building the same bundle each time for the different environments.
    I played with a number of different ideas, but I wanted the solution to be Spring based. I finally settled on a rather simple solution to use external property files with the <util:properties/> tag of Spring, and then injecting the bean created from this into the adapters requiring different configurations.
    First, in the context file, I needed to add a new Spring namespace - http://www.springframework.org/schema/util:
    +<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"+
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"*
    xmlns:osgi="http://www.springframework.org/schema/osgi"*
    xmlns:wlevs="http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/spring"*
    xmlns:util="http://www.springframework.org/schema/util"*
    xsi:schemaLocation="*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/osgi*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/osgi/spring-osgi.xsd*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/util*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/util/spring-util-2.5.xsd*
    http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/spring*
    http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/spring/spring-wlevs-v11_1_1_3.xsd">*
    Next, I defined a bean for my property file:
    +*<util:properties id="serverProperties" location="file:./applications/MyApplication/server.properties"/>*+
    And then finally, I modified my adapter to inject a Properties object and use that to define the other properties in the Adapter:
    +*<wlevs:adapter id="MyMessageAdapter" class="com.enernoc.cep.message.adapter.MyMessageAdapter" >*+
    +*<wlevs:instance-property name="properties" ref="serverProperties"/>*+
    +*<wlevs:listener ref="HAInputAdapter"/>*+
    +*</wlevs:adapter>*+
    With this change, I can now build and deploy a bundle once to whatever servers I choose, and modify the server.properties file in each environment to make the necessary changes for message servers and databases. In a multi-server enviroment this becomes really handy as our deploy script needs to only create and push server.properties files and not new bundles.
    As a nice-to-have feature someday, it would be great if Oracle could enable their <wlevs:/> namespace to recognize the Spring PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer feature, so that we could use placeholder variables for property values of <wlevs:/> specific tags.

    Jim,
    You can use com.bea.wlevs.spring.support.ConfigurationPropertyPlaceholderConfigurer, which is based on org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer. For example,
    <bean class="com.bea.wlevs.spring.support.ConfigurationPropertyPlaceholderConfigurer">
    <property name="location" value="file:config/test.properties"/>
    </bean>
    <wlevs:adapter id="myAdapter" class="oracle.cep.sample.MyTestAdapter" >
    <wlevs:instance-property name="serverAddress" value="${serverAddress}"/>
    </wlevs:adapter>

  • How do I read my old WORD files, it does not seem to recognize them?

    I downloaded LION and now my WORD files that I had previoulsy can not be read.  How do I get them back?

    Elaine, did you change your name from Andy, or are you a separate person? Most of us don't pay that close attention to the name and since your response seemed to be a continuation of Andy's problem, nobody noticed.
    Your question appeared to show absolutely no attempt to try the solutions provided for Andy (who we thought you were). What you did is called "threadjacking," and you did it in a way that made everyone believe you were actually Andy, who's thread you threadjacked.
    Being that you are a self-professed novice, here's a very basic thing you need to understand: for the most part, data is separate from applications. So, just because your application (Word in this case) no longer works, that doesn't mean your documents are in jeopardy. You can install Office (Word) 2008 or 2011 and open those documents just fine. You can also use any of the programs mentioned to open those documents. There is nothing to "merge" between the applications.
    To move them to your new computer, just copy the documents to an external hard drive, thumb drive, or CD/DVD. You can then move them to your Macbook. You can also turn on file sharing and move them that way, but you probably ought to have a backup since you claim them to be important.
    Do you have a backup of your iMac? If not, I would suggest getting an external drive copying all your data onto that, make sure it all reads ok, then do what you need to do with your iMac.
    Apple's setup assistant should have asked if you wanted to move stuff from your old computer to your new one, which would have been the best way to do that; however, since it appears you have already set up your account on the new Mac, I'd just back up the iMac, either by straight copy, Carbon Copy Cloner, or SuperDuper. You can then move the files you want onto your new Mac from the external hard drive.

  • New to Lightroom, problem importing raw CR2 files.

    I am new to Lightroom and am having trouble importing my CR2 raw photo files. In the "import" section I select my SD card that contains the raw image files. All .jpeg files on the card show up as thumbnails but the CR2 files show "preview not available for this file." I select one of the CR2 thumbnails anyway, select a destination folder on my external hard drive and click "import." A window pops up that says, "this file is not recognized by the raw support format in Lightroom." I'm using Lightroom 4.4 and am working with a Windows Vista operating system (on an old, junky laptop). My camera is a Canon 70D and am shooting in RAW+JPEG. I also downloaded the Adobe .DNG converter 6.3 to try to convert the files before importing them into Lightroom and it is also not recognizing and importing my CR2 files. Not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

    I would recommend downloading DNG Converter 8.2 which is compatible with Vista.
    The latest version 8.6 requires W7 or W8

    I have just upgraded from Lightroom 5 standalone to Lightroom 6 standalone. I appear to have been automatically enrolled for a 30 day free trial of Lightroom Mobile and Creative Cloud. Reading the FAQ, it appears that after the expiry of the free trial, if I do not sign up and pay, I will only be able to view my pictures on the desktop but not edit them - surely this cannot be true. How do I un-enroll for the 30 day free trial of Lightroom Mobile and CC?

    When I was signed into Adobe (which was a requirement for installing the upgrade), Lightroom 6 told my at the top right corner that I had 30 days left of my free trial of Lightroom Mobile and Creative Cloud. In parallel with this forum posting, I am chatting with Adobe support. he is away to find out how to prevent any synching with Creative Cloud during the 30 day free trial. I do not think that Creative Cloud is an application that gets installed on your PC. I think Lightroom 6 has it built in, and can use it if if you are signed up to the Creative Cloud and Lightroom Mobile (which I am for 30 days)

  • Lightroom 1.4.1 won't read RAW  or RAW+JPEG from Canon Rebel Xsi

    I use Windows. I started with LIghtroom 1. Technical support said Lightroom 1.4.1 update would let allow me to import RAW and RAW+JPEG files from Canon Rebel Xsi into Lightroom. I downloaded the update. Lightroom still will not recognize RAW or JPEG+RAW photos taken with my Canon Rebel Xsi. Lightroom will read straight JPEG photos taken with this camera. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this (e.g. be able to import RAW and RAW+JPEG files)? Sorry if there is a simple thing to fix to this or if I could have found the solution somewhere else on this site. I am a Lightroom novice and have been struggling with this issue for some time now. Thanks in Advance.

    Thanks everyone for all your help! I am now able to import the RAW files. Steve and Don especially thanks so much! I am posting my solution in case someone out there has had the same problem.
    In the past, using the prompt generated from within LR, I downloaded the update and ran the install. However using Don's information I realized the splash screen indicated 1.1 and the number did not match the build # provided by Don.
    Based on this information, I went to the Adobe site, reran the download via the Adobe site (not LR) and reran the install. Of note, this install process gave different screens from when I ran install from the files downloaded accessed via the LR prompt. The biggest difference is that this time I got Adobe directions for how to execute the update. I next confirmed that I had the update files on the hard drive, opened the file as directed by Adobe and the install updated. However I was still getting the LR 1.1 splash screen.
    Based on information posted elsewhere, I determined that I needed to delete the LR icon from my desktop. I moved "LR 1.4.1" from the start menu to the desktop. I now launch LR 1.4.1 when I hit the LR icon and I have successfully downloaded a boatload of RAW files. Thanks All! You are geniuses!

  • Photoshop CC locking up saying "Reading Camera Raw Format" when opening file from Lightroom

    When I open a file from Lightroom, CC opens and asks about sending data to Adobe, and no matter what answer you give the program locks up at the "Reading Camera Raw Format" prompt.

    What files from which camera do you use? Where are they stored? What system? Are Lightroom and Photoshop properly updated and use the same RAW settings? Provide more info.

  • Lightroom and CS3 Bridge: Can they read eachother's adjustment settings?

    So Im trying to use Lightroom 1.0
    So far it seems like LR doesnt see the adjustments (XMP data) I have added to RAW files in Bridge and Bridge doesnt see the adjustments I make in LR.
    Call me crazy but isnt that a major stumbling block in the usage of Lightroom?
    Or am I doing something wrong?

    I don't use RAW files, but in the case of Jpegs, Bridge has a cache. You have to empty its cache for it to see changes in the files that it didn't make. And to have them made, you have to tell Lightroom to write out the metadata. Globally, it's in Preferences / File Management. It slowed it down so I have it off. If you want to do a file or a directory, you can use Metadata / XMP / Export XMP metadata to file.
    If you write metadata outside of Lightroom (I write capture date and digitized date to files from scanned slides), in Lightroom you have to do Metadata / XMP / Import XMP metadata to file. I always have Lightroom write out the metadata before I fiddle with the files and I would assume that is necessary because otherwise what it reads from the files will not include its data and it will, I presume, lose its data.
