My Line Needs Re-Training

Hi, I believe my line needs re-training to 6dB. I recently had a faulty filter but have now replaced it and my line has been completely stable apart from myself restarting the router.
As you can see my downstream connection is very poor and unacceptable. I've previously had it at speeds of 1800kbps stable and can only assume the slow downstream connection is due to the current Line Attenuation.
I am using a Netgear DGN2200v3.
If there is anymore I need to provide please let me know.

you need to change your router from pppoE to pppoA which is the correct setting for adsl. the low connection speed is due to your high noise margin which is a result of connection problems due to faulty filter and possibly resets as you try to get a better connection speed. your connection should automatically reduce your noise margin given a stable connection
once you change setting to pppoA can you repost stats

You can implement the above requirement in both ways:
1.Using EO
2. Using PLSQL Packages.
Using EO's
Create the below : MasterVO, ChildVO, MasterChildVL
Create an advanced table with details region in it. You can refer DevGuide for more info. if you want.
Make use of advancedTable : addRow functionality. When you commit it.. data will be saved in both tables.

URGENT! BT line needed for LifeLine Service!

My parents are trying to get a phoneline installed into a new-build bungalow for my Gran who replies on a lifeline pendant. They called in the middle of March to order the phone number to be transferred to the new address only to be told the earliest that it could be done was 28th April! They eventually managed to get someone to agree to 8th April but that date was put back and they were promised 16th April, the day before my Gran was to move home, on that day aparently two engineers were supposed to turn up, because the 2nd engineer arrived before the first, he found initial work hadn't been completed and left the property. We're not sure whether engineers have even turned up as the wiring is already installed and the bungalow was locked. move date has come and gone and still no phoneline despite BT making various excuses. My Mum is at the end of her tether with the constant stream of excuses, today she's received a text message saying that the phone line is now active (the phone is dead) and when calling to report it, she's been told the order has been cancelled.
My Gran relies on lifeline and the lack of a phone means that this is putting her life at risk as well as unneccessary worry for my Mum and stress in trying to deal with the call centres who seem to have a different excuse everytime something is not done. Is there somewhere (preferably in the Uk) we can get in touch with so the phoneline activation can be managed properly as I do believe the overseas call centre staff do not understand and/or do not care about the seriousness of the situation we're in?

No new line needed in FCC

Hello friends,
We have a requirement where we don't need a new line to the record in the FCC.
If we don't specify 'nl' also, the new line seems to be the separator.
we don't need the separation and need all the records to come in the same line.
how can this be done?

This happens because the default value is a line break (no explicit separator after the last column; instead the structures are arranged line-by-line).
So to satisfy your requirement, you need to add the following:
Set the value of <Name>.endSeparator as ' ' , i.e set space as the fieldSeparator because you donot need a new line.

Video content description limited to one line only. Three lines needed

The videos app on my iPad mini (iOS 6.0.2) presents videos/films by nice thumbnails; however, with only one line of video file info. As there is a lot of footprint available, it would be great with, say, three lines of info like location, artists, song titles. I enter that type of info in iTunes, but it's not possible to retrieve it with the videos app.

From text tools I select "Lower Third" (second first row) and it gives me two
lines.
By using a smaller font and NO Serif (as in Times) but eg Ariel (SanSerif) one
can squees in rather much text. Then adjusting the length of this to suit "say"
(spoken words). To cont. by next two lines one might need to do this by adding
more text to to next video-clip then move it back to where first one ends.
Rather tricky to do - alt. is to make a cut in the video-clip for next text lines to orient
too. May be an easier way to go. This cut will not be visibly only work as guide to
the text tool.
Third line - I didn't make this.
If You only get one - then trashing iMovie pref file might help it to get back on track.

Advice Needed for Training

Hello Everyone:
I searched the web site and couldn't find a good answer for my question. I am about to restart the web site design component of my marketing and public relations business after a unexpected two year break. I am in need of some train for CS6 to get me up to speed on all the new features. I have been using CS4 but would really like to get a good training CS6 so I can use the different programs and features with extreme ease. I am a paraplegic and getting to the Bay Area or a community college for training classes would be difficult right now. I searching for comprehensive on training for the CS6 programs and features and I need to get started ASAP. Does anyone know if this exists? Can it be gotten through Adobe? What the good CS6 training books? I know there are several but I'm not sure which book(s) to pick.

For self-study resources, I'd suggest Lynda.com and Adobe.tv but in general, I'd suggest focussing on one application at a time as opposed to trying to tackle the whole suite at once. If it were me, I'd get started with InDesign. My company does offer online instructor-led training classes, but it's fairly pricey and is typically the sort of thing that employer's pay for. The biggest tip I can give though, whether self-study or instructor-led is to start with a calendar and a plan, and take a step by step approach. Get good enough in one application that you can produce quality work in it, then move on to the next application. Trying to learn the whole Creative Suite at once is an awfully big elephant to eat. Too many stroke lines & need engraving font.

I've purchase a Roland GX24 vinyl cutter and using it to plot drawings (bought special pen). The problem is the areas that are solid black (especially the curves) are made of lines which are very close together, so when I go to plot they tear the paper and wear out the pen . I need to find a quick way of making this full of just little dots, I have created a live paint area of this group and trying to put little dots on them (anyone know a quick way of this as I choose 'effect', 'Pixelate', 'color halftone'. I think the dots are too big and will come across same problem with pen tearing, I want tiny dots spaced far away from each other or strokes far away from each other.
This only solves half the problem as the original work is still below it and when I go to plot it will do both so still going to tear the paper; I know what you''re thinking; just remove the old one below; but it is made of tiny little curves and strokes so I can't just simply select it, what can I do here please?
As if that's not the only problem , the text used is an outline and very small seeing as though they are blue-prints, the text blurs with the pen as the text is 'outlined', I need a quick way to turn this outlined text into single stroke text so it will be clean enough to read.
Any help is really appreciated, I have pain stakingly gone through and created my own symbols of text in a single stroke but this is no solution as have been here all day doing this and I have at least 20 of them to sort out. And there will be more comming.

I'm taking you at your word and assuming the GX24 is simply a cutter/plotter, not a printer.
The problem is the areas that are solid black...are made of lines which are very close together...they tear the paper and wear out the pen...I need...just little dots.
With little dots, you might not shred the paper, but you're still going to then wear out the pen with all that pen-up, pen-down nonsense, just to draw a bunch of individual tiny dots. That is crazy use of a cutter/plotter.

The Color Halftone Effect is a RASER effect. It generates a raster image (a color image consisting of pixels), not paths for your plotter to follow.
Cutter/Plotters are driven by HPGL instructions that in simplifed terms go something like this:
"Go to coordinates XY"
"Pen/Knife down"
"Go to coordinates XY"
"Pen/Knife up"
In other words, they are not printers; they are plotters. They scribe vector paths by using their stepper motors to move the paper and pen/knife carriage to cartesian coordinates. They don't see or paint pixels. They don't think of the page as one big bitmap to fill in with dots.
There are cutter/plotters which incorporate raster printing (some of the best ones from Rowland). But they cost alot more than the GX24.
In short, you are trying to make inappropriate use of your device. It really shouldn't be used to "color in" solid areas. If you must try to fill text paths, use a reasonably sparse VECTOR hatch or pattern fill.
You can experiment with pattern fills, but be forewarned: The results will depend upon the translation capabilities of the software you are using to drive the device. Pattern fills in Illustrator don't really "stop" at the edges of the paths they fill. They are merely masked by the paths. So your plotter software would have to be smart enough to draw only the un-masked portions of the pattern paths. I'm not familiar with your particular device, or with Rowland's recent software, so you'll have to experiment if you want to use Pattern Fills.
Generally speaking, what you want to send to a vinyl cutter (even one doubling as a pen plotter) is in principle very simple: Send it paths which describe EVERY mark/cut you want it to make and NOTHING more.
One method in Illustrator with which you could quickly make marks to "scribble in" outlined text is the much overlooked Scribble Effect. Read about it in online Help. Set all variations and curviness to zero. Set stroke weight to zero (there is no weight to a cut), and control the density with the Spacing setting. Expand the results. That will generate zig-zag vector paths in shapes to "fill in" your large text. Being diagonal, it may not be exactly what you want, but it can yield a nice "architectural" sketch effect.

CAD programs are still (largely) stuck in the foregone decades of pen plotters. That's why they still use proprietary single-stroke text. (Many now support normal outline fonts, but many Engineering departments have never changed their habits, so they needlessly cause downstream users to devise workarounds.) Programs like Illustrator don't understand fonts that are not outlines. There are no open paths in the fonts that you use in Illustrator. Even text set at tiny sizes are outline paths. And there is no feature in Illustrator to reliably and neatly render text as open path centerlines. (Experiments with rasterizing text and auto-tracing it can yield legible results, but nothing I would call presentable results.)
I have often thought it would not be too difficult to write a Javascript for Illustrator that would effectively replace ordinary type set in a monospaced font with Symbols containing glyphs drawn as open centerlines, "drafter" style. But I haven't got around to actually doing it yet. (The same script could be used for fun stuff, like automatically coding messages in colored nautical signal flags.)
The general assumption, when using a pen plotter, is that the input is coming from a CAD program, and that small text will, therefore, already be open path centerlines.

Phone line needs "waking up"

Followingmonths of trouble three years ago our problem was solved by an expert here and the Care Team sohoping someone can help here.
Our phone line went dead yesterday. Panic. But the broadband was fine. So we went through the usual in house test regime and all seemed ok. I called my daughter on the mobile to tell her and asked her to try and call in. Yep, it worked. My husband then picked up the phone and hey presto - dialling tone. This has happened several times during the day. Line goes dead - I call in on the mobile- answer my own phone - out line is restored. It's as if the phone line dozes off and needs waking up. Haven't called the fault in yet as it's Sunday and I thought maybe there's a very simple solution out there. And it does sound totally bonkers.
Hoping for a magic solution or failing that advice.

Hr (high resistance) fault on the line or a slight break in one of the wires. Dialing in causes voltage to be applied down the line to ring your phones. This can temporarily fix a hr fault.
Could be something else mind you like faulty exchange equipment.
Get an engineer out to check.

HELP! JOB ON THE LINE- Need to import fields from one document to another document

In a nutshell I have a set of documents and we now have a new structure for those documents. Either I have to cut and paste all the data from one to another or figure out how to import fields to another document.
I have two documents. Both are different but require the same information. Basically I need to have one file with fields import specified fields from another document. Ex., Name on document 1, I need the file to know to get the Name field on document 2 and import it into the specified field on document 1. I will have multiple fields that need to do this importing. I REALLY NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT B/C I HAVE A TON OF DOCUMENTS THAT NEED TO BE COMPLETED.

If you are talking about the field structure, not the content that Bernd commented on, make a copy of the document with the fields. Open the file and use replace pages to replace the pages with the new document layout. After you have replaced the pages, you will have to select the field tools and move the fields to the proper location. If the form was made in Designer, I am not sure of the process. There is likely a similar process in Designer, but I don't use Designer and can't comment. You may have to go to the Designer forum in such a case, unless other Acrobat users here can help.

UK complaint or help line needed. 3 ipods broken out of 3.

Does anyone have a UK telephone number (that someone will answer) so I can complain about 2 ipods that I have purchased. A "help line" would be even better but I doubt if they have such a thing. I am so far disgusted about the lack of customer service. I have purchased 2 ipods. One stopped working some time ago so we got a replacement. Now the replacement has also stopped working. (That is 3 rubbish ipods out of 3). My daughter threw her ipod in the bin today she was so fed up with it. It felt good!!! If you have a UK phone number or email address please let me know. I have been through the Apple web site and had no success so I thought I would try this complaints site. Looking at the thousands of complaints on this site I can see that I am not on my own!

Thanks for your help. I called the help line and sure enough the helpful assistant I got through to a young lady in Greece (her English was about as bad line as the line but never mind). We had along chat and went through all the different things that could have been the problem but eventually she admitted the ipod was broken. She gave me a web site to go on so to send it back to Crapple (sorry I mean Apple). THIS IS TO REPLACE MY REPLACEMENT IPOD THAT HAD ALREADY BROKE. I followed the instructions and at the end the web site said because it was 1 year and 2 week since I purchased the ipod I had to pay £130!!!! Now bare in mind that I had I purchased it for my son for Christmas last year and it went wrong shortly afterwards – broke for about 2 –3 weeks before I got through to Apple and then I send it back and they had it for at least 6 weeks and then it broke again before getting to this stage I thing they are take the p**s. I isn't me - my daughter had an ipod and it uploaded fine on the same computer. Although with hers as soon as the ipod is taken out of the charger the battery goes off- she kept her ipod in her bedroom before we had the burning ceremony at the weekend.

A Second Line Needed

My dad has a business phone line that is presently locked on a difficult-contract-to-get-out-off with Unicom. To cancel or switch this line back to BT services will require my dad paying almost a £1000 as per Unicom's terms. Presently we only get dial-up services with this line; my dad is retired and leaves on the family farm house with my mother. Unicom broadband charges are too high compared to BT's. My dad can't get out of the contract until the 3rd year of the 3rd anniversary of the contract with Unicom (not sure about those terms). My question is, is it possible to get a new BT line (for home use) that would work independently from the present business line? Is there any solution apart from getting a new line installed? Thanks

There's no reason why you can't get a second line at a property. The usual charge is about £128 unless there's some reason why it's particularly difficult to supply a line at your address.
