My location field on calendar automatically updates with unfinished addresses

When I enter the address in the location field of calendar, even if I type in the whole address, it sometimes substitutes it with an incomplete one which it has plucked from somewhere on the net. How to I overrule the location automatic entries with my own?

i have an iphone that uses addresses/contacts. i don't use icloud because i was getting doubled calendar entries.
updating is done "via itunes on this computer"

Storage location field missing while doing GR with PO number

When I receive goods from a PO, the storage location field missing from MIGO with 101. Material been extended with storage location and entered in PO. But sloc field totally greying out while I receive goods with PO.
I tried other way to receive goods , but storage location disappears when I save it.
MMBE shows stock as on order before reciept , after I post goods, material document created but stock disappears. Not even in the plant.
Can anyone help , please?

Hi,
You create the material in MM01 and select the non-valuated stock material type.
When you create a PO for this material the system will ask you to enter an account assignment category (such as K for cost centre etc.) Indicate the GL etc that you want the costs to be posted to (Stationery, office supploes etc.).
When the items are received, post the GR as normal (with MIGO). At GR the total value of the items will be posted to the correct financial accounts and the stock quantities will be updated.
Then when you have consumed anything you post a goods issue (MB1A or MIGO) and this does not post anything to the financial accounts (it was all posted at GR) but it does reduce the stock figures.
This process is ideal for ANY low value / high volume items, because the stock is managed correctly but you do not have many hundreds of tiny financial posting as each low value item is consumed.

Assignment field in FB03 is updated with a TM PO, and not the material PO

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue.
Issue: The assignment field in accounting document generated during GR is updated with the TM PO number(Trade PO) and not the Material PO .
this happens while Posting goods receipt in VL32N tcode.
Please let me know what can be the issue.

Everytime we create a TM PO , the error occurs in account assignment the first time you do the Good issue.
If you reverse the document and repost the Good Issue it works the correct way

Location field to be automatically adopted to lower level WBSE

Dear SAP Gurus,
We are going to give the location to Level 3 WBSE. Now that Location field need to get copied to level 4 WBSE.
How this automatic assignment will be carried out ?

Invoice reference field automatically updated with 'V' via BAPI

Why doesn't my iPhone calendar automatically sync with my Macs?

Aren't all my Apple devices supposed to be able to do this? I don't want to have to plug in the cable every ngiht to sync my iPhone, MacBook Air and Mac desktop. I assumed it had, and missed an appointment.

You may well have updated the OS actually running on your MacBook Air, but that would not update your profile on the Apple Support Communities (ASC). To determine the OS level actually running, choose About This Mac from the apple-icon menu. To update your ASC profile (if necessary), choose "Your Stuff" near the upper right corner of this page, then choose "Profile" to pull up the profile page. Look under "My Products" for your MacBook Air, then use "Edit" to the right of that entry.
We're in the Mavericks forum, so I'll assume you are running Mavericks (OS X 10.9.x). It's a free upgrade from Snow Leopard or above, if your MacBook Air is new enough and has enough hardware to run it. I'm also assuming that you want to use Apple's iCloud sync function.
Apple supplies the wherewithall for automatic syncing on current systems or on older systems running current software, but you have to have configured it appropriately.
Here's how you do that check that ssls6 recommended:
On the MacBook Air, open System Preferences and go to the "Internet Accounts" pane. On the left side should be a list of one or more accounts. You may see, for example, an iCloud account (icon of a cloud), a Google account (icon of a "g"), and/or other types of accounts listed (various icons). Next to each icon, you should see two lines of script, one with the name of the account (perhaps "My iCloud" or "JKF from NYC") and one with the type(s) of information stored there (for example, "Mail, Contacts, and 9 more...").
Do you have an iCloud account there? I'm assuming you do. If not, post back that you don't have one. Somebody here will have to coach you through creating one and getting your calendars moved there, or we can discuss using your Google account or whatever you do have.
Click on the entry in the list corresponding to your iCloud account. (This is the one you were probably thinking about when you asked "Aren't all my Apple devices supposed to be able to do this?"). The right side of the window should now show a list of types of information you are storing in iCloud. We are hoping that the "Calendars" line is checked, meaning that you have enabled calendar storage in iCloud (possibly among others).
While you have the iCloud account selected, note the exact name of the iCloud account active (perhaps JFKfromNYC @ icloud.com).
Now go to the Calendar application on your MacBook Air. If you do not see a left sidebar with a list of calendars (maybe Personal, Home, Work, and others), clicking the "Calendars button should make it appear.
Click on some event of interest in the main part of the Calendar window. (You might want to pick that appointment you missed, if the MacBook Air is where you created it.) The name of the calendar that contains it should be highlighted in the left sidebar, nested under the account that stores the calendar. (For example, "Home" nested under "My iCloud" may be highlighted. Note that there may also be a "Home" calendar under other accounts; they are different.) That tells you where this event is stored.
Now you need to go to the Mac desktop and go through the same exercise. You want the desktop to agree with the MacBook Air for those calendars and entries you care to have synced. Make sure the desktop is using the exact same iCloud account identifier.
Now you want to follow a similar process on your iPhone, but some of the terminology is different. Here I'm assuming you are running a recent version of iOS (7 through 7.1.1).
Start in the Settings app. Go to the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" pane. Again, you want to see your iCloud account listed; click it. It should be enabled for storing calendars, and it should also be using the exact same iCloud account identifier.
Now switch to the Calendar app and select an event. (Again, you might want to use the appointment you missed, if it was created on the iPhone or appears there.) It should show the name of the calendar under which the event was created. To see where that calendar is stored, click on the name of the calendar to get a list of storage locations (grey bars) and calendars, one of which should be checked. Again, you want to see the event in a calendar that is stored in iCloud. [Remember, I'm assuming you want to sync through iCloud.] Click "Back" to return to the event.
If you see the same event in the same calendar stored on the same cloud service on all three devices, then the event should be syncing among them. Otherwise, let us know where in this procedure what you observed failed to match what I outlined.

Preventing Automatic Updates With CD Installation

How do you run Java Web Start against a CD such that it will not check for updates? Our use case is to install a base version via CD for our customers that have low bandwidth requirements and then to use Java Web Start via the network to update the user in a controlled fashion with Jar Diffs. The web-based jnlp operates as a servlet using dynamic filtering based on the query parameters. We have already discovered that we cannot specify any query parameters to an import from the CD using the �import option. The import works fine, but now when we try to run the app, it tries to pull down the latest file from the server which does not exist in our case, and we do not want it to. We need to control web start so that it does not fail the application run when it can�t get the file. Ideally, it would not even check. We are delivering our product to the customer very soon, so I need to know ASAP how to disable the check for updates in Java Web Start.
Note: It seems to work fine in JDK 1.5 Update 7.

"-offline" does not make a difference here, because the notepad.jnlp says offline-allowed.

Slideshow on iPad, automatically updated with latest photos

I'm looking to have a iPad slideshow running at events, while allowing event guests to email in photos - which are then automatically added into the already running slideshow. Could be either via an app, or Safari.
It looks like there are some systems that support emailing photos into albums, e.g. picasaweb, flickr, and it's also possible to update an iOS device's photos over email using IFTTT (unfortunately there's a sizeable IFTTT lag), but I haven't yet found a good way to have a running slideshow automatically include display on newly provided images.
I've found ways to get almost there, e.g. I've found apps such as "Web Albums" and Flickring to show picasaweb or flickr slideshows (but you have to exit the slideshow and resync), or embedding a picasaweb slideshow in a custom web page that could auto-refresh (although embedded picasaweb slideshows don't loop), Smugmug (but embedding in a custom web page has some limitations).
Any other ideas?

IW41: automatic update of activity type when changing the work center?

Hello colleagues,
when doing a time confirmation with IW41, we have following problem:
In the PM order the operations are assigned to a neutral executing work center, as it not known which individual technician is completing the operation later on.
Now when the individual technician is entering the time confirmation with IW41, system is proposing the work center indicated in the operation from the PM order, then technician is overwriting the work center proposal with his own individual work center ID (and pressing Enter), but the activity type is not getting updated automatically. So the technician must jump to field "activity type" and choose the correct activity type.
Is there any solution (hopefully with user exits!) to have the field "activity type" automatically updated with the one indicated in the work center, which was entered manually?

Hi Maheswaran,
yes, as usual all PM work centers have only 1 activity type assigned in the costing tab.
We also checked the settings of the activity type (KL03), but we just found one difference: the price indicator was set on 3 "Determined manually" - we've changed to 1 "Plan price, automatically based on activity" (..same setting as for the act. type of the work center with working update of act.type).
We tested already all possible constellations and scenarios, but we have not found any good reason for the behaviour.

Can you be a little more specific about what you mean by 'automatically update with the entry in another field'? That could be interpreted different ways, each requiring a different solution in the PDF. Do you want the fields to share the same value? Do you need a calculated value? Do you need to set the value in field A using a matching value from the entered value in field B?

In above table ID is customer's ID, DUE_DATE field contains date greater than Current Date and VALID field can contain either 'V' or 'I'. Initially when I insert row in table VALID is V and DUE_DATE is any date greater than Current Date.
My Problem is
When Due_Date becomes less than Current Date then VALID field should be automatically updated by 'I'.
How can I do that?

From what we know so far, the only thing that makes the row "invalid" is the passing of time and the relation of DUE_DATE to SYSDATE. As John said, don't store VALID at all, just calculate it when needed.

Ipod playlists/podcast automatic updates

I have subscribed to some podcasts. Is there any way that my iPod can automatically update with the episodes I have not listened to-or with each new days episodes- without me dragging and dropping each episode I want every day, and erasing the episodes I have listened to on my iPod? Can I make a 'business' playlist that when I drag and drop it into my ipod it only puts the newest shows of the podcasts that I added to the playlist?
