My Location now 1000 miles after swapping xfinity modem - @ComcastChirag-K.

Question

Just installed a replacement Xfinity x1 Modem/router.  Since doing so my location for all location based web sites/services has me in Peoria,  IL not West Orange, NJ.  How can I fix this?  The net effect is that my google search results give me Weather, TV Listings, Shopping/Stores near me relevant to Peoria IL not West Orange NJ. This happens on my Mac and PCs in Chrome, Safari and Firefox Browsers and on my Android phone & tablet when connect to my home router. Thanks for your help Attention - ComcastChirag-K.

  Google requires the MAC address for geolocation over wifi.  It allows CONSIDERIP as a fall back.  It your Gateway's MAC is tied to a distant location, KEEP swapping Gateways until geolocation works.
