Have you tried a Reset: Hold down the home and sleep buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
If that didn't work try a Restore from your backup in iTunes. If that fails Restore it as a new iPhone in iTunes.
And if all the above fail, you do not have an employer profile on your iPhone, and there are no Restrictions set, get it serviced.

  • My location services are not working in my ipad 3.  ...... What shall I do?? Any suggestions???

Whenever I try to see my location,,,,, I can't why??

First, verify that location services are on and that the app you are using has been granted privledges to use it. Look in Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
Alos, if you have WiFi-only iPad, it does not contain a built-in GPS chip - only the 3G models do. Apple relies on a database of WiFi hot spot locations and it could be that your hotspot and those around you have never made it into that database.
What have you done to troubleshoot already? What were the results?
Have you read this support article about Location Services?

  • What does it mean if my location services are turned on, but not working?

What does it mean if my location services are turned on, but not working?  It has always worked before.  It is turned on in Settings but when I try to use an app that requires location services, it says they are not on, and the little arrow is not appearing at the top of the screen.

thank you...I tried this immediately after noticing but to no avail. I thought the phone died but I kept seeing the light on so I googled some things and it says it may be watered damaged and I'm not sure how.

  • My location services are on and it is saying that I'm in Utah when I'm truly in Ohio

Ever since downloading the latest updates, my location services are saying that I am Utah instead of Ohio...not sure how to fix this...called customer support and they say as as long I'm using the correct time zone and location services are on, everything should be fine on there end.

What you're really doing is trying to create a new icloud account using an ID that is not currently associated with a user's account.  A device can only do this a fixed number of times (3 or 5, don't remember), after which you must use a different device or computer to create the account.

  • Facebook's location services are off..?!

Ok I just updated my iPhone 4S and all of the sudden Facebook's "location services are turned off". It tells me to fix it in the settings but I can't find anything about locations... HELP PLEASE?!

Go to Settings>Privacy>Location Services. Here you can control if Location Services are turned on or off, and you can control individual apps' ability to use Location Services. You can also enable/disable Find my iPhone. Hope this helps!

  • When Location Services are turned off, does Find My iPhone still count as turned on?

Let's say I use iCloud, so I turned on Find My iPhone.
But, I like to save battery, so I turn Location Services off while Find My iPhone is enabled, and I understand completely that if Lost Mode is enabled, then Location Services are turned on and enable Find My iPhone.
    Scenario:
I go traveling. I lose my phone. It gets stolen. Location Services were turned off (I like to save battery). If the thief were to try to restore the phone, would he/she get a message saying "Find My iPhone is enabled. Please turn it off before restoring this iPhone."? OR, since Location Services are off, would the restore go on ahead without any confirmation?
This scenario is assuming I don't activate Lost Mode before the thief can plug the device into his/her computer and attempt a restore.
So when Location Services with Find My iPhone enabled are turned OFF, would Find My iPhone still be considered ON and therefore, give a confirmation message before any restoration?
I just want to verify that I'm still secure even when I turn off Location Services to save battery.
    Thanks for reading!

  • My location services are frozen. Can I use my personal hotspot to backup and restore my phone?

My iPhone 4S was upgraded from the 6.1.2 to 6.1.3 and I expierenced a major malfunction. Immeadily after the upgrade my daughter installed a 4 shared app then she went on line and downloaded AppCaster. The AppCaster crashed then my google latitude app crashed. Now my location services are frozen. Is there any way I can back up and restore my iPhone using my personal hotspot. I can't get to a public hotspot to use my icloud backup?

one cant use the personal hotspot feature to restore the device coz the phone will d/connect as soon the restoration process is underway. you will need a PC/laptop t ocomplete this process,in case you dont then ,maybe go to the apple store and request them to restore it for you from icloud

Also, in privacy>location services>share my location (just below it) is grayed out, yet at the bottom of page>system services>share my location is accessible, but off, and every time I turn it on it turns back off in a second, or 2Edit

  • TS4006 "Find my IPhone" app on my iPad can't even locate the iPad I'm using. And I'm on a WiFi network and location services are turned on. Ideas?

I'm using the "Find my IPhone" app on my iPad and it can't even locate the iPad I'm using, not to mention the iPhone I'm looking for. They are both listed as devises, it just says they're both offline, which I know is wrong. I'm on a WiFi network and location services are turned on. Ideas?

Is Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Find My iPad turned ON?

  • My ipod touch was stolen. I installed mobile me but never had to use it. When I try to locate it it just comes back saying "location services are disabled". Does that mean that whoever has it has disabled the service or that they havent connected to wifi?

My car was broken into and my ipod touch was stolen. I installed the mobile me but have never had to use it. They renamed the ipod because when I sign in it says it is someone elses ipod...grrrrr!!!! It says location services are disabled. Does this mean that have turned off the locator settings or that they havent connected to wifi? I have been trying to locate it for 2 weeks now. Time to give up? Any info you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

They've probably restored it by now and when that happens, any email accounts/mobileme accounts that were on it are not there anymore.
I hate to say it, but you're most likely SOL.

  • I lost my ipod touch and it is connected to the internet but the location services are turned off anyway i could turn them on??

Hi, I was wondering if anybody here knows how to turn on location services without the ipod in your hand it is connected through find my iphone and it says its online but location services are turned off if anybody here knows or think they know it would be greatly appreciated

    No.
    - If you previously turned on the FIndMyiPod feature and location service is on, and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud, sign in, and go to FindMyiPhone. It the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - Report to police and change the passwords fro all accounts used on the iPod.
    - Apple will not help

  • HT1975 My location icon in the status bar never comes on even after trying everything. Location services are on but still cannot find my location in any app. :( HELP!

I've tried to turn my location services on and still cannot be located.

For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds

  • 6.1.2 iPhone 4S upgrade, now location services are on continuously

I've noticed this as an issue since I upgraded the software and was wondering how many others are experiencing this and if anyone knows if this is being worked on.

Location services must be on for certain things like Find My Phone to work. You can control this here: Settings>Privacy>Location Services...you'll see a list of apps that you can grant permission to use location services or not. If you scroll down to System Services, you can also adjust things here.
