My Lumia 720 doesnt respond Please help.
From few days I have experiencing this on my lumia - whenever i travel by any means of transport if its more than 40 - 50 minutes, my lumia doesnt unlock (while pressing the power key - nothing happens) the screen also doesnt wake up. But if I press Camera key it vibrates even takes photographs withour flash. After a lot of try it wakes up - but if it still fails I have to connect the charger to wake it up. PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS ASAP PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !!!!! Its been just 2 months I have been using this.

If your phone is unresponsive, or it gets stuck showing Nokia logo, then try this: Press and hold both the Volume down and the Power keys for 15 seconds. This should get your phone to restart properly again. If this does not help, then follow next steps to perform OS reset.
Warning: Resetting your phone will return it to the same state it was in the first time you turned it on. All your personal content in the phone, including text messages and apps that you been purchased and downloaded (may be re-downloaded again) will be erased, and the phone will be restore to the factory settings.Here are two options to follow, depending on whether you can access your phone's settings screen or not.
Option 1: About menu
Use this option if you can access your phone's settings.
This option warns about data loss.
On the Start screen, swipe left, select Settings > About > Reset your phone.
Option 2: Hardware key combination
Use this option if you forget or lose the password.
Use this option if the phone fails to fully switch on when pressing the power on key.
Note: No warning about data loss!

Step 1Make sure the charger is disconnected.1. Switch the power Off.2. Press and hold the Volume down and connect the charger, if succeed an exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen.

My Lumia 720 stops responding. This is happening frequently while unlocking screen or sometimes while doing some other task. This issue has come up after gettiing updates
Which updates are you refering to exactly? If this issue has started after updating your phone to the GDR2/Amber update then you may need to perform a soft reset or a hard (factory) reset of the device.
To soft reset the phone, simply press and hold the volume down and power keys at the same time for approximately 12 seconds until you feel the phone vibrate. The phone will then restart and boot up normally. No personal data is deleted from the phone but you may have to reset the date and time as these are restored to factory defaults.
There are two ways to perform a hard (factory) reset. One way is to go to Settings > About > Reset your phone.
However, some people have reported that this method results in the phone getting stuck on the "spinning cogs" screen until the battery runs out. You can search these forums for "spinning cogs" then you will see what I mean. I've actually suffered the same thing myself but was fortunate enough to be able to recover by following one of the solutions mentioned in one of those topics.
The second method of factory resetting the device is a little more involved but having used this method myself and not getting the spinning cogs issue I've decided that this is safer.
Turn the phone off then press and hold the volume down button. Continue to hold volume down whilst connecting the mains USB charger. You should now see an exclamation mark on the screen.
Now press the following buttons in this exact order. Volume UP > Volume DOWN > Power > Volume DOWN.
The phone will now restart and reset itself into factory defaults. ALL personal user data will be deleted from the phone which will be returned to an "out of the box" condition. So before you attempt to factory reset your phone make sure to back-up all personal user data before hand. -
i just installed an update my version is now MAC OS X 10.7.5 and now imovie is no longer working. it just uses heaps of CPU and then stops responding. please help.
I cannot find any fixes online and i don't know what to dohere is the message. i tried deleting all my video files in iphoto and it still does not work.

If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.

If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.

Nokia Lumia 520, Several frustrations please help.
Just brought a Nokia Lumia 520, seemed like a good choice some cpu/gpu/ram as the 720, bigger screen than the 620, would have got the 620 if it was a 4" screen.
I use a smartphone for these reasons.

The volume button on the 520 seems very cheap, it's just a loose bit of plastic on the case it's self, is this normal?
I'm currently a premium member of Spotify, the Windows Phone Spotify app forgets when settings are changed, when I try to stream in high quality it always goes back to normal (which sounds pretty bad). There's also no "extreme" quality option.
Xbox Music Pass, this just seems like a really poorly made app, I've signed up for the premium streaming (as a Spotify alternative). But to get to it I need to click on store\then music, type in the artist I want, and once the music starts, i need to constantly click the "..." button the "more in store" button to change songs within the album, the list it's self doesn't even show you which song is playing, you need press the "<-" button to see the title. And on top of all that instead of the nice clean background there's a picture of the artist, but the picture is stretched and blurred and looks horrible, very off putting.
Also is the a way of seeing the "status bar" type info without pressing the volume button?
Please help me, I'm tempted to go back to Android but really don't want too.If you hold the back button down without letting it go then all screens that have been left open can be scrolled across screen 1 tap on desired screen opens it as start screen. Same with internet explorer hit the .......... At bottom of screen select tabs and it puts every page visited as a small tile with a. X in corner they can be closed in seconds in the one screen without ever hitting the back button. Hope this is helpful.

"Application Not Responding" please help!
Okay this problem has been occurring for about a month and I cannot handle life without iTunes:
Originally, my iTunes randomly stopped working and I would try to open the application, but it showed me a blank library with the spinning wheel.
I then tried to solve the problem by deleting unnecessary programs, restarting my computer, and uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes because the dock said that the application was not responding, so I would have to force quit.
Now, I get as far as the "iTunes Setup Assistant" by the time the color wheel starts spinning and the application stalls again.
I tried creating a new account and opening iTunes and that seemed to work fine, except a third of my library wasn't appearing and it's frustrating to have to keep logging in and out of accounts.
Also, whenever I plug my iPod into the computer and load Senuti, I can listen to songs off of that, but I can't add or modify songs on my iPod.
Please help me solve this problem!
iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.8)You have a UAD-1e and you're getting a kernel panic from a conflict with the UA driver.
You should send this to Universal Audio tech support. This used to be an issue with sleep, but I believe they fixed that fairly recently, so I'm not sure why it's happening to you.
In the interim, also make sure for the moment that sleep mode on your computer is OFF, and that you are using the latest UA software. -
My old imac hdd doesnt mount Please Help!!!!

I upgraded my IMac's 6.1 (its first gen. Intel Imac 24 inch) hardrive with a new 2TB HDD. And I upgraded OS Snow Leopard to Lion. It works like a charm.
After I needed some old stuff from the old HDD, I connected it through USB with 2 different docks, but the new system doesnt mount it. I looked at the Disk utility it doesnt even see it.
Please help me I dont want to reinstall the old HDD again.
Is there a way to mount it?
Best RegardsThere is nothing special about using a previously formatted and otherwise working hard disk in an external USB enclosure. Connecting it to your Mac should be sufficient for it to mount and become immediately available, so I suggest your problems lie with the enclosure or USB cable.
Try using Startup Manager: Make sure the drive is connected, then press and hold an option key while starting your Mac. -

OS Not Responding - Please Help!
Please help, my life is on my iMac!
I have an intel iMac version 10.6.7 running Snow Leopard. I shut it down as normal two nights ago and turned it on yesterday morning expecting normal resumption of service - only this is not what happened.
Instead I get the desktop with icons yes but not showing my desktop wallpaper - this is ok only it is not showing the dock either, this would be ok as I should be able to access applications and system perferences via the Finder only every time I click on the Finder I get the wheel of death! and the screen goes blank for about 10 seconds and then reverts to the 'fake' desktop. There are no application icons in the application folder only folders meaning I can open nothing.
Strange thing is I could backup everything yesterday anyway using time capsule.... And of the 250gb HD I only have 30gb remaining - the computer is 4 years old...
Should I reinstall the OS?? and yes I know I need to clean files to leave more HD free but for now can I save my beautiful Mac???

whatever caused the issue, it certainly wasn't a virus - there currently are no viruses that can affect a Mac.

Keep front panel icons same size on different monitors
