Pl suggest.

  • Mac air is not charging, cord is fine

My Mac Air is not charging, the cord/connector is fine, all other devices plugged are working.  I tried plugging directly on the wall too. This happened once in the past, then worked again.  I thought my Mac Air had a problem, took it to the Apple Store but my cord worked there and so did theirs.  This is so annoying! Does anyone have new suggestions?  I read the posts relating this same problem, is Apple coming up with anything to solve this?

You've answered this yourself in your earlier post here above:
There seems to others having this same problem...
I'm out of here, this is going nowhere...

  • Please, the battery of my mac air does not last more than two hours, it's been over 30 days I sent for technical assistance and nothing! I am very disappointed with the mac air, I had a very different expectation of apples products!!

Maybe the problem is not your MB Air......
    Try these:
Make sure bluetooth is turned off if you're not using it.
Set your screen brightness to 4 bars.
See what's loading in your login items.  Delete the ones you don't need.
Open Activity Monitor - under All Processes see what's using most of your CPU's resources.
Highlight the ones with the highest %CPU and hit quit process.
Remember that when Apple says that your battery should last 7 hours, they tested it just browsing the web and not have anything open in the background and screen is set at 50% brightness.

  • Mac air screen not displaying correctly

I have a Mac Air 13' screen. Recently I was using it and someone put a lemon head on the keyboard and slammed the screen down on it for no reason.
The screen is now displaying a grey screen with a white vertical line down the middle. When I turn the computer off and then back on the screen is
exactly the same. When I type I cannot see anything that I type. I have a two year warranty on my computer. I am just wanting to know if there is anytthing
that I can do without sending it in. If there is not, who or what am I supposed to call to send in the computer to fix it. Also would Ribbit computers or another computer repair store, would they be able to fix my screen without me sending it in to Apple. Any information would be appreciative and very helpful! Thanks for reading!

  • Mac air battery not charging

Mac air not charging, no orange or green lights but the indication on the screen showing being charged but the % not getting better than 38% despite charging it overnite. Help please

    Perform SMC reset.
Have you been many times letting your Air die from power? (important question)
Run an SMC reset and report back
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
If you have no indicator lights on the magsafe charger, you have a possible defective charger OR a damaged/defective IO board.
If same after SMC reset, contact Apple for in shop full diagnostic and possible replacement of charger and / or IO board.

  • HT204150 Do I just take it as a given that contacts on an iPad and a Mac air will not sync?

Do I just take it as a given that contacts do not seamlessly sync between an iPad and a Mac Air?

If you've got all your ducks in a row, then they should sync.
Are they both signed into the same icloud account?
Are contacts turned on in icloud settings/system preferences?
Here's a test; log into the icloud account at icloud.com using a browser and lok at the contacts page.  If there, then one of the devices managed to get the data to icloud, but the other is not syncing down (again, check to be sure both devices are connecting to the right account and that all is turned on).
If there's no data on icloud.com, then neither device is syncing.  You must not have the settings correct.

  • Mac Air will not switch on again

My Mac Air went completely black a couple of weeks ago and would not turn on. I have tried both the 'fixes' recommended by Apple support that time but it happened again yesterday.
I've tried thier suggestion of; SMC reset (ctrl, shift, alt and power hold) and also RP SMC (alt, cmd,P,R power and wait for the two chimes) but neither bring it back to life.
Its only two and a half years old - I thought apple products were more reliable. Apple support oddly go home at the weekend so I'm stuffed until Monday.
Do you have any other suggestions I could try?
    Zoe

The same is happining to me! i really need to get my school work, but its not turnig on ive tried everything and i dont even hear the two chimes... i have lots of apple products and not all of them are THAT bad...altough my mac air isn't working properly any more.

  • My mac air will not connect to the internet. There is an exclamation point in the wifi icon and when i go into preferences i see that it is setting its own IP address. I have a macbook that is able to connect with no issue. HELP

My macbook air will not connect to the internet. There is an exclamation point in the wifi icon and when i go into preferences i see that it is setting its own IP address. I have a macbookpro that is able to connect with no issue. HELP

Reset the TC to factory and start again.
Use all SMB type names for wireless and base station.. Not apple type names.. this is more important since Mavericks.
I also recommend different names for the different bands.
    So for example.
TC name.. TCgenx (I use whatever the generation number is for the x.. eg TCgen4 or latest one TCgen5)
    WIreless name.. TC24ghz for 2.4ghz
    TC5ghz for 5ghz
You can also set the channel manually.
If you still have issues.. start with no security and then if it fails to connect there is something seriously wrong with the laptop. Did you upgrade install Mavericks?? That can lead to driver issues.. I would recommend a clean install.

  • Mac air do not start up

I tried to delete some pictures and games I don't use on my Mac Air, it got frozen, I forced quit finder and shut off the computer. Now, when I try to start it up, it stops with the white screem, the apple and the cursor that runs over and over and nothing happens!
I tried to re-start it using the tips from the manual, pressing Shift/Control/Alt and Power, Power and Command/R/P and it didn't work.
    What can I do?

Backup your MBA then take it to Apple

  • I've lost a book I was writing, using pages. my mac air could not autosave it because my start up disc was full.  the computer froze, i turned it off, then back on, and it was working fine but the file was gone.

ow do I recover a Pages file lost because Mac Air start up disc was full and couldn't autosave?

Unless you've done anything to change it, Google keeps every email that ever passes through their server in your All Mail folder/mailbox/label. Even if you delete stuff, they hold onto it, there. You have to go out of your way to actually delete anything permanently.

  • My mac air is not working. Mail and safari

HHow do I get safari to work on my mac air.
this is morning the safari icon was bouncing up and down. I tried to open it. I also clicked on other things in finder and some way messed it up

When an icon bounces, there is usually an accompanying message explaining the issue.
If you cannot see any message from Safari, you might try restarting the computer.

  • HT1338 my mac air will not turn on

help me get my mac air to turn on

Found this in another post -- it should help, assuming you've tried simply holding the power button for 15 seconds already.
As a first step you could try an SMC reset followed by a PRAM reset:
    SMC Reset
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer’s power cord and disconnect peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    Reset PRAM
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P and R.
You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Mac Air does not recognize ISO file, Mac Pro does

    Hi All,
My MacBook Air, i5, with OSX 10.9.4 and Bootcamp 5.1.2(484) does not recognize the Windows 7 ISO image, while my dad's Mac Book Pro, 10.1, i7 with OSX 10.9.4 and Bootcamp 5.1.2(484)...does recognize the Windows 7 ISO image...
We tried two different Windows 7 ISO images
When we start from a fresh boot , the 1st error is "Not a Windows 7 image", and when we retry we get "Not a 64 bit Windows 7 version.
    What are we doing wrong?
