I have an iPhone 4S 7.0.2 and it does the same thing I as just wondering if you found any result on what causes it to do that?

My mac book air doesnt turn off if i click on shut down . it is not sleeping either. if i put the screen down it keeps turning on and the apple logo keeps blinking. it only turns off if i press the power button for few seconds . Please help. Another thing is condensation . i opened my mac 2 days ago there was water on keys and on the screen I guess extremes of temperature caused moisture to develop. What seems to be the issue with its turning off and sleeping. Thank God the water didnt short circuit it. Its still working but just not sleeping or shutting down normally. Please help needed. I love my MAC and cant afford to loose it ! HELP !!

Hi my Mac book is randomly turning off usually at a little bit under half battery. The computer is about two to three years old and I use it a lot. Why is it doing this and what should I do? I am taking it in to the apple store tomorrow. Around how much will it cost to get in.
An examination at the Apple store will not cost you anything. Be sure to make a reservation so you don't have to wait too long at the Genius Bar. If there is a repair required there may be a cost for that.
Have you tried resetting the System Management Controller? That would be the first step I would try for most power related issues.

I have a new MacBook Air which keeps turning off by itself and now won't turn on at all...
It's been working fine since I've had it but yesterday it kept turning off by itself and then within minutes off turning it back on it would do it again. Also the little box kept popping up asking if I wanted to sleep, restart etc as if I had pressed the power button. I tried to turn it off completely and now it won't turn back on at all. If I plug the charger in the green light comes on but nothing happens on the actual MacBook itself. What do i do ?

My airport turns off by itself and I have to restart the computer for it to work again and it only turns off again. I have Mac OS X version 10.6.8. What can I do to solve this problem?
Usually the HDD is the frist place to look. Use the original install disk and start up the MBP with the C key down. Go through the installation process until you see on the display a menu bar on top.
Click on UTILITIES.
From the drop down menu select Disk Utility.
Open Disk Utility>First Aid and run Verify and Repair.

My phone turned off by itself and won't turn back on.
My phone turned off by itself and now it will not turn back on. I have tried both a soft and a hard restart and the only thing I get is the Dual Core Technology logo and it just stays on. I tried to do restart in regular and recovery mode and neither works. Is there a way to restart it without going back to factory settings????
I'm sorry your phone won't turn on jessesealey! I'm sure this is beyond frustrating. Do you know what function was used just before powering off? (text, email, internet, etc.) Has the phone been dropped or wet at all? Even steam/mist? I know a Hard Reset is an inconvenience, so you can try charging for 3-4 hours and try powering back on. hey there, i am currently facing an issue with the airport as by it is turnning off by itself and i cant turn it back on .. i have to restart !!!

thank you very muchHey, in case you haven't been able to find a solution to your original problem with airport turning off, i seem to have found the solution for my MacBook Pro. I called Apple Care and they had me to shut down my computer. Then, while holding down the four keys: command, option, R and P, push the power button to turn on the computer. Do not let up on the four keys until the start up chime has sounded twice. Then let up on the four keys and the OS will boot up as usual. They said what that does is reset your "sleep" parameters on your computer. This seemed to have solved my problem.

applepro turns off by itself and then i have to wait anywhere from 15 to 30 mins to try to reboot and have to unplug

MacBook Pro doesnt start. When I start my lap top, it shows the apple and the line uploading but it only goes like to 1/3 and then it goes blank for some seconds, then it turns off by itself and turn on again and happen the same, apple logo, line .. the noise like-fan going on, then turn off and turn on again. Tried starting holding option command P and R key and didnt work either. Starting to think I have lost all my data inside

My wife has the exact same phone and I have the razr HD (basically the same, just larger screen etc).
We have run into the same thing a few times, and as stated above by Callie I have found it is a dead battery issue. BUT unlike my previous phone (Droid incredible) that I could usually plug in, wait a few minutes, then at least turn on and use while plugged in, I have found for the M and mine it really took a bit to get it charged. Kind of like as long as there is some battery you are ok, but once it dies it takes a bit of charging.
ALSO - I am going to perhaps not use the right terms or words for this, but I THINK (emphasize think) at least once it wasn't enough to use one of the lower amp chargers. at least on mine. tried to charge and charge and didn't seem to work. Finally I took a charger that I normally need to use for my daughters tablet and use that then it had enough kick. I will note I think that was the issue.
regardless each time yes it took awhile before we could turn them on. ALSO it seemed like it took a much longer time in holding the power button down. BUT eventually they started up and we were good to go.
we love our phones, she especially loves the size of the M. BUT we have learned in the short 2-3 months we have had them, if possible, don't let the thing drain all the way. just seems to cause a bit of a hastle -

Start by rebooting the iPad by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restart, ignoring the red slider if that appears. See if that helps.

My PC is saying the iPod isn't connected, when it is.
Ok, when I go to EDIT on the toolbar in iTunes, then click on the iPod tab, it says it's not connected, but my computer is reading it, telling me I should put it in a faster port or whatever. Main thing is it knows it's connected but wont show it.
