1. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
2. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
3. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
4. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
5. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons -
Me and my daughter shared her Apple id but when we updatedto ios7 it merged our messages and contacts so i made a new one for my iphone however now it wont let her use her icloud it keeps saying wrong password and when she tries to reset it it says wrong birth date! it wont even send a reset message to her email address! Your story is all well and good, but your husband FIRST threatened to call the police and report a theft the store was perpetrating, which they were not. Yes, the package was addressed to the customer, but that customer was YOU and YOU were not there.
YOU should simply go down to the store, retrieve YOUR package and thank the store for helping to prevent identity theft.
The store said YOU could come down and pick up the package. Did they tell you SOMEONE ELSE could do so???
It seems the easiest way to have resolved the issue would have been for YOU to go pick up YOUR package. -

I hav e a Mac Book Pro it turns on and I can see the apple symbol on the screen and their is a little circle on the bottom that keeps going in circles but nothing else is happening I can't see any programs or anything on the screen. The only way to get an apple ID is to have an email account you've never used before. The only thing you can do is make her an email.

when using my mac book pro, there's a window that comes up saying to force quit applications. i've done the updates cleaned out computer and have taken it in but it wont stop coming up. what can i do?

Could be many things, we should start with this...

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward. -

You must set the account using a Mac or an iPad/iPhone, it may not be setup using a PC.

i recently bought the new iphone 5s and cannot use it becacuse i need to connect it too itunes version 11.1, However it wont let me download it because it says i have to download version 10.8.6 first but wont let me download that either so i have a brand new iphone that is useless because i cant download itunes on my macbook. how can i fix this?
10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) is an upgrade from Leopard, which you apparently have (10.5.8).
iTunes 11 requires 10.6.8 (not 10.8.6 as you have typed). If your Mac is an Intel one with at least 1Gb of RAM then you can buy Snow Leopard in the online Apple Store (type 'Snow Leopard' in the search box rather than browsing for it).
Once installed, download the combo updater to bring it up to 10.6.8:

You will then be able to install iTunes 11. However if your Mac has a PPC processor you cannot install Snow Leopard and will be unable to proceed. To check this, choose 'About This Mac' from the Apple menu and look where it says 'Processor' - it needs to say 'Intel' for you to be able to upgrade. -
I moved from an old macbook to a new one. I have installed Office for Mac 2011. I copied all my files from my old notebook onto a hard drive. On trying to setup my mail, i went into my hard drive and accessed microsoft user identities, office 2011 and it shows the database but wont let me select it. Its almost as if the file is there but not accessable. I desperately need to access my old mail. How do I do this? I am fairly confident that I copied all files off my old notebook. Is there a way for me to search for the Database file? Maybe I copied it to a different location? Urgent help please.

Simplest way is to use Target Disk mode:

and hook to another Mac and use CCC or SuperDuper and clone your HD to another drive.
You could also pull the drive out of your MBP and use an external USB case or SATA - USB dongle to hook it to another Mac.

i just downloaded firefox and it wont let me log off my twitter. i did the 'automatically download bookmarks from chrome' option but i deleted them afterwards. tumblr and twitter were the only sites that already had me signed in when i visited them but tumblr let me sign out. everytime i try to log out of twitter it takes me to the usual screen they show when you log out (a promotion for the twitter app for mobile phones) but the little button at the top that tells you to sign in isnt there, instead it has the button for you to write a new tweet and it keeps my twitters background. since i just downloaded it i dont have any extensions or add ons and my cache is empty so i honestly dont know what to do. i tried troubleshooting but it didnt work and im not really good with coding, like once you tell me what to do i can do it, but i cant do it on my own, so i dont know if the file was like corrupted when i downloaded it or something...
Click the Orange Firefox button in the upper left hand corner, then hover over the arrow to the right of "History". Go to "Clear Recent History", and clear the following:

Under Details check the following:

Cookies
Active Logins
Offline Website Data
Uncheck everything else. Click "Clear Now", then restart Firefox. -
