Nobody can. You did not provide any details. It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.

Hello. I bought a new iMac 27" with the following specs:

After installing all Mac update, used Bootcamp to create a Windows 7 drive. Everything went fine to a point. While in my Mac OS i can see the windows partition just fine and see/edit documents. However, when in the Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, I cannot see the mac os in my computer at all.
Can someone please help this mac owner newbie? This process worked fine on my mac mini and i have no troubles. It is just on my new iMac that it wont work/show the highlighted paragraph above
Any ideas and/or help would be greatly appreciated.I understand that much. On my MAC Mini, if you look above at original post, I CAN see both OS while in the Windows 7 partition or the MAC OS. This is NOT the case on my iMac. Again, when in the MAC OS I can see the windows partion and move information between the two that way. When in the WINDOWS partition, the only one that shows is the Windows OS from my computer or network. The only way you can tell its even a MAC is the bootcamp icon in the bottom right corner of toolbar. Both have same version of MAC OS so both should work same way.. When i double click on my computer, it should show both the Windows drive AND the MAC (as does my mini and another iMac 21.5 that i have). This iMac does not do that - only shows windows.

AppleTV does not show up in Devices in iTunes on streaming MacBook Pro
My setup:
- AppleTV connected wirelessly to the wireless router (Apple Extreme N Base Station).
- Windows PC wired to the router and set up as machine that is sync'd to the ATV.
- MacBook Pro connected wirelessly to the router and set up as a streaming machine.
- All machines run iTunes 7.3.
The AppleTV appears as a device on the Windows PC. No problem there.
However, the ATV does not appear in the Devices list on the MacBook Pro 99% of the time and so I am not able to select it and change the photo albums I want to link. It occasionally appears. But I have not found a pattern to why it appears and disappears. Even when it does not appear in the Devices list, streaming from the MacBook Pro works just fine. So even as I am streaming, say, a podcast from my MacBook Pro, the ATV never appears as a listed Device.
I can make the ATV temporarily appear by unlinking the MBP from the ATV and relinking it. During the link process, the ATV appears in the Device list. But it disappears as soon as the code is entered in the MBP.

Yes, it would be annoying if EVERY device that my Mac had ever connected to did show up all the time even after they were disconnected.
However, there are some classes of devices that you do want your Mac to remember and show as available if they are detected active on a network. An example would a Bluetooth device that you have deliberately paired and designated in the Favourites list. If it was subsequently decided that this device should no longer appear, then removing it from the Favourites list does that.
In my opinion, the AppleTV should fall in the same category. Since pairing is required and subsequent dissociation is possible by removing it from the iTunes list of allowed AppleTV units, then it should appear on iTunes' list of Devices as long as it is detected on the network. If the ATV is unpowered or if the PC moves onto a different network, that that ATV should not appear in the Devices list. There is an advantage for the logic to be implemented this way for the reason I have mentioned in an earlier post (i.e. being able to change the list of photo albums designated as available for streaming without having to go to the ATV, select the source PC, then going back to the PC to change the list).
But again, just my opinion. It's always good to discuss these things so that others can see different opinions on an issue. -
I bought a new MacBook Pro (Mac Os 10.8.4) when conecting my mobile broadband dongle (Huawei E122) the computer does not read it at all. I do not have problems when connecting it to my former computer (PC) and a Mac from last year. Any suggestions?

Yes, I did that. They have uppgrades for the dongles, but just untill Mac Os 10.7. Their solution is to buy a new modem from them or getting one for free if I sign a contract for 24 months! So, i think from that side not very helpful.
It is just that I do not want to buy a new modem, when it works in quite recent computers and after having spent money in the new Mac.

After that I again install windows 8 from a DVD. Windows start well, but I can not start Mac OS system, may be it was 10.6. Sever times I tried to install OS X Lion 10.7 thought DVD, I could not. On MacBook I have a lot of important data.

My MacBook Pro model no. A1286.You installed Windows improperly the result of which was to wipe out the bootloader for OS X. You can give this a try:
Boot Using OPTION key:
1. Restart the computer.
2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the
"OPTION" key.
3. Release the key when the boot manager appears.
4. Select the OS X disk icon from which you want to boot.
5. Click on the arrow button below the icon.
If you are still unable to boot from the OS X volume then you will need to reinstall OS X:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
This will destroy the Windows bootloader so you cannot boot into Windows. The solution is to remove all the partitions on the drive except the OS X partition, then expand the OS X partition to take up the entire drive.
Use Boot Camp Assistant in the Utilities folder to create a Windows partition on which you can install Windows. You cannot have any other partitions on the drive besides these two.
Now given all the above you may be able to install a third-party bootloader that would work with the setup you now have: Boot Runner 1.4. -

3 beeps usually means a Ram problem, have you added or removed Ram recently?
And I will assume that you do not have a Mac Pro, but that you have a portable, a MacBook Pro. -
Mac Book Pro just got it, all was well for 2 weeks now Finder window does not fill whole screen, there is an 1 1/2" space of black on the right side and the Finder window had a 1" section that flipped like a rolling tv now it is a white bar! Help!

I have had my mac book pro for about a year and a half and suddenly my dvd player will not play DVDs and i can not play alot of things on full screen. Does anybody know how i can fix this?
This could be several things, but let's get the obvious ones out of the way, first:
1. Judging from your text, there's no problem with anything stuck in the mechanism; it's more an issue of no being to put in a disk. In other words, you're sure that there isn't a disk stuck in your MBP. (That happens a lot for all computers.)
2. Go to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility, and repair the disk. This should take under 10 minutes.

Please helpThe version of Acrobat you have is a PowerPC application and will not run on Mountain Lion. You will need to upgrade/purchase an Intel version of Acrobat Pro, probably Version 9.
It might have been worth checking to see if the apps you run are supported on ML before upgrading. If you backed up your system before the upgrade you could always revert to your previous level. -

My screen saver on my MacBook Pro stopped working. I have rebooted and tried resetting the screen saver, still not working.
We are going to delete a hidden file.
Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type or paste
~/Library/Preferences
and scroll down until you see
com.apple.systempreferences.plist
drag the one you can (may see two) to the Trash, reboot, reset your System Preferences again. -
IPhone 5 not showing up as a device on my Mac, and also will not sync
When I plug my iPhone 5 into my Macbook Pro, the device begins charging. ITunes and iPhoto both load up instantly as well, and my iPhone appears within iTunes. However, I would like to view the files of my iPhone directly like I have in the past, but the phone will not show up anywhere else as a device. The device will not show up anywhere on Finder, nor on the desktop. I have my settings to where devices should show up on my desktop or Finder, but the iPhone is nowhere to be found.
In addition, when I try to sync my phone within iTunes, it begins syncing and gets all the way to step 5/5, but then it just goes on indefinitely and never actually finishes syncing.
The main problem I would like to fix is to be able to locate my device on my computer but I would also very much appreciate information on how to fix the syncing problem.
I am running the iOS 7 on my iPhone and I have the latest software for the Mac's operating system as well. I have not yet tried uninstalling iTunes and I would like to avoid doing so unless that is the only option left.
Any help is much appreciated.You cannot view files on iPhone using the Mac.

Mavericks Migration assistant does not see time machine backup of older Lion Mac
Used to have a Macbook Pro. It was stolen (circa July 2014). Luckily I had up to date Time Machine Backups. The Macbook Pro was completely up to date running the latest OSX Lion (circa July 2014) when stolen.
Bought a new Macbook Air just now (Mar 2015).
Plugged in the old Mac's Time Machine Backup Disk, Migration Assistant doesn't see the old Mac's Backups.
So I setup the new Macbook Air without restoring.
Plugged in old backup drive, am able to navigate to old Mac's Time Machine Backups.
Tried running Migration Assistant many time , but still it does not see the the old Mac's Time Machine Backups. (although they continue to show in the drive if I navigate to it)
Pls help so I can migrate the old Mac to the new Mac!!!!Thanks Turbostar.
Well, I think there should be solution to use TIME CAPSULE restore as it should I mean I bought Time Capsule because it is easy to use and I really do not want to solve any issues or make any workarounds.
I think APPLE should resolve this ASAP. Meantime maybe anybody knows any trick about this issue? -
The transfer from my itunes book library to ibooks app on my mac (mavericks) went fine. The problems started when I tried syncing. The first time, everything went fine. Pdf's and ebooks showed up on my devices. I then added more pdf's to ibooks on my mac and when I tried to sync them with my devices, some show up and some don't. I thought it might have something to do with file size but again, some large pdf files did show up in tunes and some didn't.
Overall, not all things are mirroring like they are supposed to between the ibooks app on my mac and itunes, resulting in not being able to get all the content I want on to my devices via syncing.
For example, I will delete something out of ibooks but it stays in itunes when I go to sync. I'll delete it from all the devices and the computer and it will still be in itunes and will reload onto my ipad when I sync my entire library. To repeat, I deleted a book out of ibooks but it still shows up in itunes when I go to sync. Other books that I delete from ibooks do disapear from itunes and are no longer availalble for syncing, as it should be.
There was a pdf I changed to an epub in Calibre. I converted it in case the large size of the pdf was a problem. As an epub, it was a smaller file (8.6 mb vs 100 mb). I deleted the pdf from all devices and the ibooks app. I reloaded it into ibooks as an ebook. It showed up fine. I was able to open it with no problems. Went to sync it with itunes and it didn't show up nor appear on my ipad after syncing the entire library.
So, ibooks on computer is working fine. The content is there (or not there when I delete it) in what ever format I want it. I can open and read everything just fine. The problem is trying to get that same content onto my devices via itunes. Why does some content transfet just fine and some doesn't? Why does some content delete fine while other content can't be deleted from itunes? Why do some pdf's load fine in itunes and some won't?
My computer and my devices all have current updates.
Help!I had the same issue. After searching around online I found out that you can try downloading another app (it can be any app) onto your ipod. After it finishes downloading see if your other apps open. You don't even have to keep the new app. Just see if your other ones work and you can delete the new one. That should work. If not, try to hard reset it. Here is another apple support link for steps on hard reseting it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430).
