My mac cannot select any network

the wifi is activated but the mac cannot select any network. the other devices works well

I realize that it can be very frustrating when you cannot connect your computer to your internet, especially when other devices can connect without issue. lets start easy so the we can understand where you are in the process. Have you set the ipad up using itunes? if not, you need to do that first. make sure your computer has the current i tunes version loaded, then plug the pad into the computer. What kind of computer you using, mac or pc?
If you haven't set it up, then it does not know to look for any networks.

In InDesign CS6 I cannot select any items in my onscreen toolbars or windows.

I am using InDesign CS6 and within the last day cannot select half of the items in my quick select toolbar (the pointer tool and direct selection tool), as well i cannot select any of the options in my windows (pages, layers, styles, colours, etc), and when I have something selected, I cannot deselect it. Can anyone help me?

Before reloading, I would try deleting the preferences. It may not help in this case, but it is worth a try.
In case you need help with that:
Reset Preferences
1) Close the program and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (not reversible)
or
2) Move the Folder. See:

What is "place" supposed to mean – open, place as Smart Object, …?
What are the image’s Color Mode and bit depth?
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels visible?
Does Window > Adjustments not raise the Adjustments Panel?

Windows cannot find any networks

hi all
my dsl network connection is not being discovered by vista all of a sudden i tried all possible means but in vain any help would be greatly appreciated!
the error message says "windows cannot find any networks"
its an adsl connection connected through a local area network

Mac Mini Airport Extreme - Cannot Detect Any Networks

Hello,
Last week my Mac Mini (Power PC)'s hard disk crashed. So I did a DIY replacement. I managed to re-install all the software, and installed all the latest updates.
However, for some reason, the Airport Extreme is not detecting any wireless network after the re-install.
My own wireless network router is a third-party, which has been working well for the last 2 years. My Window PC and laptop still connects to it fine.
I can see the Airport icon but it doesn't how any detected networks (and there are quite a few in my neighbourhood). I did Apple Hardware Test and it shows the Airport card to be working ok.
Any help would be wonderful!

Thanks for the reply. I saw the thread before I posted and I'm hoping this will be solved soon.
The main thing that worries me is that in my case, the Mac Mini is not even seeing any networks - zero in an apartment block where there is at least 5 network on the air at any time

Hyper-v cannot add any network switches

I just upgraded from from Win 7 to Win 8 enterprise and have installed hyper-v. I am now unable to add
any network switches (external, internal or private). I have uninstalled hyper-v and my nics multiple times. I have also tried to adding a switch using the powershell command New-VMSwitch.
All the errors come down to a file not found error but here is the one from powershell:

Please uninstall the NIC/WiFi device from Device manager, then scanned for device and reinstall the device for a test.

Cannot select any objects in CS5.5 - Help

I built a document in InDesign 5.5 yesterday (the first after upgrading), and had placed several objects and created text boxes in the document. When I opened it up today to make changes, I am unable to select anything on the page. None of the tools allow me to edit any objects, move them or make any adjustments. There is only 1 layer and it's not locked, and I can't choose any options to lock or unlock objects. What's going on? I've never had this problem in CS4.

Airport not detecting any Networks

I was working fine yesterday with my macbook late 2008 aluminum unibody. Then I left the laptop for a while to have some lunch. When I went back to my mac it hanged so I forced quit some applications then did a hard shutdown. After which my Airport cannot find any network. I did a hardware test... all is okay (does this also test the airport card?). I also tried to manually input the SSID and the WEP Password (13 Characters) where I get an error of Connection timed out.
Can anybody help me?

Open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities
Once in Disk Utilities select your drive in the left window. Then from the right window select First Aid (First Aid will be selected by default).
Verify Disk:
In the "First Aid" window towards the bottom, select Verify Disk. If "Verify" comes back reporting errors, then post back here as we will have to give you further instructions on booting from your install disk.
Also at the bottom note the S.M.A.R.T status, it should read "Verified"
Repair Permissions:
In the "First Aid" window towards the bottom select "Repair Disk Permissions"

Cannot select text on a self-made pdf from scan

I have Reader 9.5.2 on a Mac G4 with OS 10.4.11.
I scanned a page of a C18 German book printed in the old Gothic script and converted the scan to pdf. So this is not a case of permissions in a pdf document received from someone else. I want to convert the font to a modern one by selecting the relevant part of the text and inserting it into a Word or a TextEdit document or by using the 'Save as...text' facility in Adobe Reader in order to export the text to Word. If I can get the text into Word or TextEdit, I can then change the font. But I cannot select any text, nor export the text. As I have said, this is not a matter of permissions in a document received from someone else; the pdf document was made from my own scan. If anyone can help, I should be most grateful; it would save a great deal of typing.

Thanks for this. It seems logical that OCR for a family of typefaces (Gothic, Blackletter, Fraktur) that ceased to be used in most of Europe by the C18 or earlier, but was still used well into the C20 in Germany and Austria (it was still taught in the primary school in Vienna which I attended as a small boy before the war) would most likely only be available in Germany. I think it's going to be typing and not OCR for me!
