My Mac does not recognize that I have downloaded the newest version

I continue to get the error message that I cannot open a pages file until I download the newest version. I have downloaded the version. The apple store recognizes that I have downloaded the version and yet, pages will not open the files.
What next?

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Yeah, because the email associated with the Apple ID is deleted and the account is having issue.
Stop using the new Apple ID.
Log into the original Apple ID. Change the email address associated with the Apple ID.
It should then be possible to update the apps associated with the original Apple ID.

I cannot access my linkedin profile anymore; it does not recognize that I have an account while in Explorer this problem does not occur.

GO to appleid.apple.com, click on manage my account and click on security. Answer your security questions to be able to edit your rescue email. If you forget the answers to your security questions, call apple support and request to be connected to a senior adviser or security who can reset your rescue email

My Mac (Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5) downloads the newest version of Adobe, but Adobe does not seem to be working, as I cannot download the pdf documents I need (and I get yet another message stating I need to download the newest version of Adobe). Everytime I try, I get a message saying it will not download. I have tried to download the newest Adobe version dozens of times. WHat is not working?

The best maintained PowerPC browser at the moment is TenFourFox:

It is a Mac port of a newer version of FF thatn any PowerPC Mac can support natively. It runs, looks and feel like FF.

I have downloaded the newest version (3.6.13) twice and it stills tells me to download the latest version. Why?

You already have the latest version of Firefox and don't need to updated it. The problem is that your Firefox version information has been locked at ''2.0.0.16'' by the EGAMES extension. I have tried a variety of things, currently I have disabled speakers and headphones such that the sound on my computer flows through my headphones, however I'd like to fix this problem since i ant to use the mic on my headset as well. The headset does not appear on my playback devices. I am using windows 7.

First, since you said that the install is timing out, we're going to remove the print queue. To do so:If the printer is connected through a USB cable then remove the USB cable.Click on Start and open Devices and Printers.In this window right click on any listed printers and click on Remove Device.Now we'll do a few things that may help with the install.Click on Start and type in cmd where it says "Search Programs and Files". Now click enter.In this window type in msiexec /unregister and click enter.Now type msiexec /regserver and click enter.To make sure we're using the latest drivers click on this link to download the latest drivers.Once it's downloaded try installing.If this works then please let other forum users know by clicking on Accept as Solution below this post. I am not very computer savvy so please be patient with me. I have set the language to English on my computer but whenever I type anything it is telling me that every word (for instance in this post) is mispelled (so they are all underlined in red dashed lines). Probably because the spell checker is set to something else. Go to Edit > Spelling and make sure the dictionary is set to English.

That results from checking the box for Show Input Menu in Finder in System Prefs/International/Input Menu.

Well, two thoughts.
The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Have downloaded the newest version of garageband but can't open it: getting the following message:

Elements 11 does not recognize jpg - may have corrupted the files. What to do? Re-install?

A recent batch of vacation pics seemed to import OK into elements 11, then next time I opened the program, most of the files could no longer be read by elements or any program, e.g. Windows picture viewer, etc. I was able to recover them from the camera card (whew!), and they are recognized by other programs but not elements 11. Any suggestions?

No other program would open the files, either. The problem started with one file, then literally hundreds of vacation photos were corrupted as well. I found a program on the internet that recovered the deleted files from my camera's card. Elements would not import these jpegs even after uninstalling and re-installing PSE, although I could open them with other programs, and even open them one by one with the editor. Very strange.
