My mac does not start after installing maverick

I had perfect macbook pro until I upgraded to Maverick. Screen says installing with big X in the middle and Barber type ribbon moving over two hours.

i did the same then my monitor shows only lines. i tried to restart several times but same display shows.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

You don’t install VS2010 on the client PC, then where did the Form Invoice not work? When you run it from another version of VS? Or when you run the application with application.exe?
Based on your description, one form works well, another form does not. I assume that two forms are in two different projects, then please check the .Net Framework used by the two projects. If they are different, you can use the
one used by the Form contact for Form Invoice.
Because this issue is a project issue, I recommend you to consult it on some application forum such as Windows Forms General forum for better support.

Printing does not work after installing Mavericks

Time Machine does not work after installing mavericks

After I installed maverick on my imac, my time machine backups don't work anymore!!!!
I have a normal portable HDD attached to my Imac with time capsule backup from before mavericks was installed.
I also has a Buffalo NAS as a second Time Machine Backup.
TIme capsule does not recognise my Buffalo NAS and tells me that it is not available. It has previous backups from Mountain Lion for sure!
My portable HDD keeps saying "Preparing for backup" for eternity.
Please, APPLE, what is going on with mavericks? Regretted upgrading.
My backup is 31 days behind because of this! Unacceptable!
But what is strange is that I can connect to my portable HDD and Buffalo NAS as a drive. What I have been doing is to copy and paste the important stuff into the drives. But it really defeats the purpose of time machine, right?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Safari does not start after installing Mountain Lion

I installed Mountain Lion on my Imac. No problem. However after installing ML on my MacBook Safari doesn't open. I have installed ML again but still it does not work.

You haven't indicated if you have tried multiple DVD/CD's or just the one. Look under the "Apple > About This Mac > More Info.. > Disk Burning " do you see the Superdrive? If the system recognizes it but it doesn't work try a
SMC RESET

Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.

Oracle web tier install+config: opmn does not start after install

Centos 5 box.
After a silent install of web tier 11.1.1.2 opmn will not start. The installation was "complete" but I found some errors in the various log files.
When I try to start a process (for example) using opmn this error occurs in the log file:

The configuration of completed successfully.
Checking a screen shot of someone else's configure output theirs continues beyond
"Bootstrapping OPMN configuration files..."
and correctly generates the instance etc.
I have tried a reinstall, and also tried a generate a new instance using the silent config tool. Same errors each time.
Log also states;
Oracle Instance Home
                        Instance Home Size: 0 MB (or 40mb)
                        Available: 0 MB
. This varies between installs and configs but available is always 0. There is Gb's of space available in the directory and the user has write permissions.
Can anyone tell me why it is failing to correctly generate the wallet?

Solved. Oracle_home and Instance home must be subdirectories of MIDDLEWARE_HOME. MIDDLEWARE HOME and command to not install updates must be added to response file. Helpful to install and configure separately.

Apache does not start after installing the policy web agent

We get the following error when we start the apache webserver on linux which has opensso policy agent installed/configured to it.

Once I had an iAS 1.0.2.2 running without problems. However after installing Patch 7 for Forms (released 27 august 2001) I get exactly the same error messages as Pieter. I have tried starting apache as administrator, comment out mod_ose, set wv_gateway_cfg, but none seem to work. Please help.

InDesign does not start after installing it first time due to missing plug ins ("Zusatzmodule")

I was using up to now InDesign CS3, but I bought the upgrade to InDesign CS 6.
After installing the new version I tried to start it, but during the start it complains about missing plugins and stops.
So, I can not run CS 6.
The missing modules are: SVG Export.apln and Dynamicdosuments.rpln.
What can I do to make CS 6 running?

I have to admit, that unfortunately I dont understand the reply. I was uninstalling, running the Adobe CS cleaner tool for CS 6, reinstalling (as suggested in other entryies of the forum). No improvement.
Question A: Do I have to run the cleaner tool for all CS including CS 3? I am a bit afraid of side effects and have nothing running afterwards. Since nobody confirmed in the forum that this will help I dont dare to play around.
Question B: Coming back to your proposal, what do you mean by proper admin privileges? I am the only user on this laptop and never did something to any admin configurations.
Finally, I installed CS 6 on another laptop. This works. However, this one I dont want or can't work with for other reasons.

After the upgrade to Mavericks iphoto does not working
It is not supported by Mavericks.
How can i get back my program iPhoto ( 9.2.3) in Mavericks?

IPhoto does not launch after installed Maverick OS X

I have many problem after I installed Maverick in my MacBook 2009. I can not launch iPhoto, my iPhone can not get wi-fi and I can only open 1 tab in Safari.
iPhoto said "Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable.
Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this, quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the Option and Command keys pressed. You can also try restoring your photo library from a backup."

Mac does not boot after installing bootcamp

hello
installed bootcamp on my mbp with snow leopard today,for the first time mac and windows both started with no problem ,but when i was trying to boot back into the mac again ,it did not boot and just got stuck at the process with turning wheel forever ,showing the apple logo and the turning wheel.
i did try to hold the option button and chose the mac partition ,but again i can not pass thru the turning wheel and apple logo.Does anybody know what the problem is and how can i go beyond this .

yes,i did try that too.unfortunately ,hard drive seemed to be the source of the problem.just replaced the hard drive with a brand new one and put this one inside a usb enclosure that i have ,so tomorrow i will get a backup first and then format it again and keep it for the future.

Macbook does not start after installing Leopard

I installed/upgraded to Leopard but had to cancel it despite the warning that the machine maz not be able to start up again. Hours later i started the mac again and the installation programe came on immedialtey. Installation was completed but on the restart it gets stuck. It just loads )apple sign with little loading sign below) but nothing happens!

If you bought your RAM at a place that also sells PC RAM you may have gotten mislabelled RAM. PCs can handle different RAM speeds so they’ll often label higher speed RAM as a lower speed rather than make two different speeds of RAM. But Macs are much more picky. They require a RAM stick to be exactly 667mhz not 675mhz or 800mhz. The way to tell is to put one of your old RAM sticks in and it will force the new RAM to run at the correct speed.
This is from one review of PNY RAM:
"These modules are actually 800Mhz. PNY no longer makes or sells 667Mhz modules. Not all computers that require 667Mhz are compatible with 2 800Mhz modules. They refuse to down clock properly. This is especially true with a number of Core 2 Duo MacBooks. Spoke to PNY support, they flat out told me that yes, they sell 800Mhz modules in 667Mhz packaging. If you RMA a module that is 667Mhz (or supposed to be 667Mhz) they will replace it with an 800Mhz module as they no longer have any 667Mhz SODIMMs, not even for RMA replacement!"

MacBook does not start after installing more RAM

Ok i bought a second hand MacBook from early 2009 and planned to use it to record songs in a small home studio using GarageBand, Live and protools, it came with 2gigs Of RAM and i tought i should take it up to 4 -the max it can handle- so i bought 2 2gigs a-data RAM sticks i took the factory ones out and put the new ones in but no way the "on/off" light turns on but nothing happens, no sound black screen, if i combine the factory ones and the new Inés whatever the order it works and i get 3 gigs combined but it just Won't Work with the 2 2gig ones in… the 4 are ddr2 working At 667mhz as i checked in the 'about this Mac > more options' what can i do… help! :(
