My mac froze completely, nothing reacts
I was using my mac and everything was normal, I left for a second and when I came back there was white text highlighted in black at the top it says " panic(CPU 0 caller 0x27a3a5) ..." and at the bottom it says "waiting for remote debugger connection." I tried to turn it off and reset it, but nothing works!!
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional — ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

I have MacBook Air late 2011 with encryption enabled the mac froze and I pressed the power button to shut it down but then the gray screen appeared no wheels nothing just gray. P.s. I am on mountain lion with ssd encryption enabled. The mac froze when the internet stopped the one from the cable (I use ethernet usb one) when I turned wifi on it froze. I have disconnected everything when trying the steps except power cable.Boot into Internet Recovery (command-option-R at the startup chime) and try to repair the boot volume in Disk Utility. You will have to unlock the volume before you can do anything with it.

I have just tried to connect my Mac book pro to an LG Plasma TV via an iWires Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable. All I get on my TV is the Mac wallpaper and nothing else. I am missing something really silly, could anyone help please.
Hi there. I also bought an iWires mini Display port to HDMI cable and have an LG LED/LCD TV. I plugged it in to my MB Pro and followed the very small writing that came in the package and got both audio and video going. You need to change the audio settings from within System Preferences on your Mac to select your TV as the audio output.
My concern is the data latency - do you experience a delay between moving your mouse on the MBPro and the TV displaying the movement? It is only a fraction of a second, but certainly enough to be annoying, especially in a cable as expensive as the iWire. -
My mac froze after connecting it to AirPlay and now I can't get it to reboot. Help!
I was hooking my MacBook Pro up to my dad's Apple TV receiver via AirPlay. The Mac display began changing like it would be mirrored, but it never started to mirror, and my mac froze. 10 min later still froze I shut it down via the power button. When I turned it back on, I couldn't get it to boot up all the way. It goes to the point where their is a cursor on the screen, and that's it. I then tried booting up in safe mode, but it took 25 min to boot. I have an early 2011 model and I just installed Yosemite on it a few weeks ago. My AppleCare 3 year warranty ran out back in September, so any help in troubleshooting this is appreciated.
Try a force-restore:
1. Launch iTunes but do not connect the iPad.
2. Hold down the iPad's Home and Sleep buttons at the same time. This will force the screen to fade and the Apple Logo to reappear. KEEP holding the two buttons down until the screen goes black.
3. Once the screen is black, release the Sleep button but keep holding down the Home button while you plug the cable into the iPad. Contunue holding the Home button until the you see the iTunes logo and the picture of the cable on the screen. This may take up to 30 seconds.
4. iTunes should now detect the iPad and you can perform a Restore. -
I accidentally synced my mum's brand new iPad to my mac book air. A few days later I realised that my iTune library on my mac is completely gone. So is my iPhone 4s after I synced it with my mac. How do I get my old iTunes library back? I tried using icloud on my iphone but it stated that I have never back up my phone before. So I guess my iCloud data is gone too? 1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

I have a 4th gen. ipod touch. It has software 4.2.1 and itunes always tells me I need to update to ios 6. I always click download and install. After the download is complete, nothing happens. It doesn't install on its own and there is no option to install manually.. Thanks.
Are you sure it is a 4G iPod? Does it have a camera?

My mac froze and wouldnt startup because it was forced to sleep while a complex program was running, and simply ended up on a blank grey screen, and this happened upon every startup. so then i tried to use a safe boot but this ended me up on the startup utilities thing. i have realised that none of the options: restore from time machine backup, reinstall osx mountain lion, and repair disk are available to help me startup, and i cant select a startup disk either as it says none are available. so i am stuck on this program and it reapears every time i restart or shutdown and reboot, so i cant do anything. Please is there any way i could either quit startup utilities or get back to my computer desktop as i have lots of non-backed up image and video files that i cant afford to lose. please help!

Is the iPod that connects an iPod touch? If not that does not mean anything since iOS devices like iPod touch, iPhone and iPad use different drivers than other iPods. -

It depends what you are using, you haven't told us, and whether you ever saved in the first place which you also haven't told us.
In OSX Lion (OSX 10.7) Pages will have auto-saved after the initial save and reopening the file will take you back to the last save.
Prior to Lion you would only have the last saved version. Utilities like ForEverSave would have auto-saved for you or you would need to manually save with command s.
If your whole Mac froze and it wasn't a battery issue in a laptop, then I would try and determine the reason as this should not be happening.

Spinning ball wont stop spinning and my mac froze
My macbook air has been having issues lately. It didnt turn on once the updating was finished. After solving that problem, now my macbook has the cursor turned into a beachball(?) constantly rolling. My mac froze and i tried waiting for atleast an hour before shutting the lid. I reopened it but the beachball is still spinning. Help?

Well, you marked this topic as solved which I guess it isn't really.
You need to transfer the library with which you originally synced the phone to the new computer. A phone will only sync to the original library or it will offer to erase the phone for syncing with a new library.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to choose a library, then select the copied iTunes folder. -
On upgrading iPhone 4 to ios 6 using iTunes, it returned an unknown error then froze completely with the iTunes icon and USB connector on the screen. Reset didn't work. iTunes doesn't recognize the devise anymore.
if your computer is not recognizing it, try using a different USB port or different usb cable. if that doesnt work you will need to uninstall and reinstall itunes.

My Ipad 2 was working fine, after syncronizing with iTunes the contacts App froze completely, in the Settings everything works fine but if you go to the mail settings the entitre settings freezes. I am usng Outlook but can't send mails. Any body has a solution?

Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.
