my MacBook Air has been stolen. I am not install 'Find MyIphone' on my Mac. Now i just use this app via ICloud after my Mac has been stoled. Is this possible to track my Mac if someone reformat my Mac or reset admin account password, is that possible that 'Find MyIphone' still working??

My Mac has been stolen, but I have my iCloud account setup. The "find my mac" app has found the apartment block it's in, but I need an IP address for the police to go and claim it. Is there a way to see the IP address of my Mac through iCloud? I've tried to get the IP address through Gmail and Dropbox but no success. Is there any software that updates automatically that I could find the IP address through?
Shouldn't the IP address be on the box you bought the machine in? If you have the box, take it to the police as evidence that it's your machine. If I were you, I would set the firmware password when you get it back, but make sure you have the password written down in a safe place. If you forget it, there's only two ways to reset it. Either pay $400+ for the tool that can do it, or pay almost nothing for Apple to do it, I think it depends on where you live. The firmware password is this encrypted password and it can't be hacked either. The password prevents anyone from booting the machine into recovery mode, thus preventing them from restoring the computer to factory settings or performing any other functions. It's not stored in the hard drive so replacing that will be of no use either.

Oh no..sorry to hear . Read about the "find my mac feature" if you had it enabled: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/find-my.html. Also, read this: Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product. Other then this and filing a report with your local authorities, there isn't much more you can do.

Just want the information to be out there - my Mac Book Pro has been stolen! Serial no W8****ATN, model A1278 what could I do to track it or at least block it?
<Personal Information Edited by Host>You can use iCloud to lock it if you had that set up. Otherwise, the only thing to do is report the theft to the police. You may want to contact your homeowner's insurance to see if it would be worth filing a claim with them also.

Unless you set up MobileMe / Find My iPad on it before it was lost/stolen, then no, there isn't any way to locate it. If you did set up MobileMe on it then you could try locating it either via me.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on a another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or MobileMe disabled on it.
If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. As a safety precaution you should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc. -

When you get a new iMac, I can recommend a program called Undercover to track and lock stolen iMacs. They also have one called Witness, which is an alarmsystem, based on the iSight camera. It can be remoted from iPhone too. Go to www.orbicule.com to learn more about it. -

Did you buy the perpetual version of Lightroom or is this the subscription version? If perpetual, install and enter your serial number. If subscription, install using the creative cloud desktop app and be sure you're signed into it.
