My mac has started sending yahoo emails out as if they were being sent from an old gmail account I haven't used in years. Why has this just started happening?

It is important to understand that Mail uses TWO servers, a Receiving Server and a Sending Server.
When you create a new mail message, or reply to a message, the Sender server is shown in the message composition window like this:
That drop-down window allows you to select which of the Sending Servers you previously set up should be used.
In general, once you choose a Sending server, its choice will "stick" for all future replies to messages from that Receiving mailbox.

Thank you for your question. It sounds like there might be an issue with the clipboard, but I do not know exactly what might be preventing this. Did you make any recent changes to the Firefox configuration?

I have an Iphone 5 and I'm abroad at the moment. My iMessages keep being sent from my phone number even though I took out my SIM card. My question is, will I be charged for them because they are being sent from my phone number and not my email?

This might be a stupid question but I'm quite concerned that my phone bill will be sky high because of it.

Here's a blip from the IOS Message support site:
On iPhone, if iMessage is unavailable, the message may be sent as SMS or MMS, depending on content. Carrier messaging rates may apply. You can adjust this behavior in iPhone at Settings > Messages > Send As SMS. Messages sent using iMessage appear in a light blue bubble, while messages sent using SMS or MMS appear in a green bubble.

Outgoing emails are not being sent from my email address all of a sudden. It started happening when I changed my gmail password

After I changed my gmail password my outgoing emails are no longer being sent from my gmail account, but are being sent from my spouse's account so that replies go into her inbox, not mine.

You may have a corrupt preference, in order to correct this open Mail - Preferences - Accounts and re-input all the preferences for the account. While they may look ok one or more may be corrupt.

IPHONE WON'T SEND YAHOO EMAILS

I have an Iphone 4S version 6.0.
In the past couple days my phone will not send yahoo emails. I updated to 6.0 as soon as it came out and it has worked fine until 4 days ago. I can still receive them from what I can tell. I had this problem a few days ago, but could not send or receive. I have tried deleteing the account and setting up again and have re-started my iphone from scratch.. It worked for 1 or 2 days and now does not work again.
Nothing seems to work - any help gratefully recieved!

Thank you for heading me in the right direction. I reset my Mail account for Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net:(customer ID)@att.net (instead of smtp.att.yahoo.com, per Apple's online troubleshooting information). I'm not sure what "(Offline)" means when it appears at the end of my Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)?? In the Advanced box I clicked on "Use custom port: 465" and checked "Use Secure Sockets Layer." Authentication: Password; I have correct User Name and Password put in. After doing all this, when I try to send emails again today, they go directly to the Outbox and sit there.
What's curious is that my first sent email this morning did go out using the Outgoing Mail Server, smtp.att.yahoo.com: (customer ID)@att.net(Offline) but subsequent emails I tried to send with this server were rejected with the message: "Cannot send message using the server smtp.att.yahoo.com (etc.). The SMTP server doesn't support TLS(SSL) on port 587. Verify your account settings and try again." That's when I tried resetting my Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net (etc.), as mentioned above, and was unsuccessful in sending out any further emails. I guess my next step is to contact my email service provider, AT&T, and see if they can help me. Thanks, again, for taking the time to respond and for giving me your input! Much appreciated!

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Hi there, I have been having trouble sending emails from my yahoo account on my iMac. Receiving emails is fine but can't send any email out. Not sure how to reconfigure my outgoing server to make this work. I am running an OS Lion. Please advise.

If you have the same problem when accessing the account through the browser, then the problem is on the Yahoo server side. They have dozens, if not hundreds of servers, and your laptop is probably hitting a different outgoing server. Yahoo's servers are notoriously bad. All you can really do is wait for them to straighten it out...
While you're waiting, create a gmail account. Then tell your friends not to use the yahoo address any more and let it die.

I resolved both my problems. The problems with Walgreens is that my own Frontier internet connection is very slow and will allow only minimal downloads. When I used a Verizon Hot Spot to download pictures they downloaded without any problem. So I am working iwth Frontier to resolve my slow internet speed. The problem with pictures be syncronized to a gallery was resolved by using the Help column and the pictures were easily deleted by following their instructions.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
