My mac is not locating my wirless connection

Mac keeps losing or is unable to locate the internet connection. All other apparatus in the house is fine, so its not my verizon router. HELP !!

This happens to me constantly!!! I can be online and walk away from computer for a few min and it will not be connected and it takes hours to get it back. I have had my imac for 10 days and at this point I am SO sorry I spent the money for it. If I could take it back and get a full refund I would. Mine is not through verizon so that must not be the problem. 2 laptops and fire never have this network problem. It will also take 20 or more times of putting in my network pw b4 it accepts it. Everyone said I would be so happy with this, I want my hp and its problems back. Please if anyone has a solution for this problem it would be appreciated.

Mac will not let me past "Connect to internet" screen to activate

Hi, I purchased a hard copy student edition of CS5.5 and downloaded without error - obtained a serial number from Adobe and had been using the product without error for a number of weeks. It is now telling me I need to activate product (even though I have been through this before) I cannot get past the connect to internet screen - even though I am logged on to the internet on a Adobe.com.
This product has not been downloaded on any other computer and I have been trying to contact Adobe for a number of days without success. I am desperate to get this product working again as it is interferring with my studies. I hope somebody can help!

Change the time zone of system clock to PST(pacific standard time) and then check.
If in case that doesn't work then follow these steps:-
Open a Finder window. Choose Go > Go To Folder.
Type "/etc" (make sure that you're is logged in as an administrator).
Select the hosts file and open it.
Look for any entries that refer to activate.adobe.com and delete them. For example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com and delete it.
Save the file and close it.

If you are having an unusual power or charging issues with your portable Mac, you may want to try resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). The SMC controlls or affects many of the low level power related functions on a Mac, including things like battery level reporting and power switching. You may find the following article helpful:

I have a hpoffice6500Aplus710n Three in one. Since I have had it Ive had printing problems with. Half of the time the wireless network feature does not work. Then I mtry to hook it up so that it can print using the Usb cable. The computer more often then not is unable to communicate with the printer. Every hp printer I have owned I have had trouble with in one way or another Now Im afraid I m going to scratch this hp printer. If I do this will be the last Hp printer I will ever own. My frustration with HP printers has come to this point I think I should return to kodak I have had almost zero problems with them. So this is a last ditch effort to get some. Every test everytninf on my computer tells me its working properly and that is not true as I can not get in toes. So if I cannot get the wireless running and stay running Im scraping HP forever. hello, i need some feed back. i am using find my iPhone to locate my devices and all is found but one problem, i see that my mac is shown to be online but location not found. how do i get the location to show because my other devices i can see on the map but my mac just shows up as a mac mini. am i doing something wrong?

Find My Mac can only locate your Mac if it is connected to the Internet via a known Wi-Fi network. If your Mac is connected to the Internet only by an Ethernet cable, Find My Mac will not be able to locate your Mac.
Your iPad, iPod Touch, or Mac is asleep and not connected to a known Wi-Fi network. You will still be able to request an erase, send a message to display and lock your device, or request that a sound be played. The command will be processed when your device is awakened and connected to the Internet.

I have a Mac on my home network and also a Systemline music server on same network. My PC was able to find the server but my MAC cannot. I can ping the server from the mac, but cannot actually connect . Also can't add the mac as a location from server

Thanks for reply. I am not an expert on these sharing protocols but I think I have turned on SMB sharing but still wont connect. I tried adding netwrik drive by using cntrl K in finder and using smb\\network address but nothing. It is driving me mad!!

Not sure what you mean by "assistant".
Assuming that you have set up the AirPort Extreme to broadcast a wireless network, you need to connect to that wireless network from each iPad or other wireless device.....just like you would connect to a network at the coffee place or bookstore.
On an iPad....
Tap Settings on the home screen
Tap Wi-Fi on the left panel
Tap on the name of your new network when it appears
Tap in the password
Tap Join

ICloud locates my macs but does not locate my iOS devices

iCloud on my macbook air locates my other mac's, but does not locate my iphone 4, ipad 3 and iphone 3GS, all devices are using the same apple id's as my main itunes and app store id's.
No matter wich mac i use icloud to locate my ios devices they do not appear, i have also used find my iphone on all ios devices and still they are not located, Icloud seems to be configured correctly on all devices with the same apple id's.

Ive got the same problem, just got my iphone unlocked, and they told me to sync it to itunes to get it permently unlocked, well everytime i plug my iphone in it says; it wont work as it needs up dating to 10.6.3, which i have already updated, but still doesnt work, so how can i get my phone unlocked?

Yes, I did that. They have uppgrades for the dongles, but just untill Mac Os 10.7. Their solution is to buy a new modem from them or getting one for free if I sign a contract for 24 months! So, i think from that side not very helpful.
It is just that I do not want to buy a new modem, when it works in quite recent computers and after having spent money in the new Mac.

Thanks for your quick response. I should add....it worked before. When I previously inserted the two DVDs into this remote drive, and I went into finder, I could click on the "remote device" line and see all my saved documents (excel, word, etc) on the DVD and open them on the Mac. Now I cannot see them, when I try to open them on the Mac, nothing happens, nothing is displayed. I just re-tested the remote DVD drive with a CD and, no problem, it opened up the CD via iTunes and I cold play the CD. SO......I know the remote DVD drive (it's an LG by the way) is fine, it's something to do with some settings on my mini mac,especially where I could open it previously. I do not remember changing any settings since then.
When I go into system preferences and click on CD/DVD it gives me options of how to open up a music CD (default is iTunes), a DVD (default is iMovie), etc. The problem is my DVD is all miscellaneious files/documents. I just want to be able to see them in the finder. I also tried to open them via microsoft word, from the remote disk and again, it could not open the drive, even though some of the documents were microsoft word documents. Again, I was able to open them previously and the DVD is not corrupted in any way.
Any additional advice?

Itunes will not allow me to connect to store - says it requires Safari 4.0.3 - however, when I try to download Safari 4.0.3 or newer it says it requires an older version of the OS. What to do?

Update v10.5.5 to v10.5.8
Download and install the combo > Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update
Then restart your Mac.
That should update Safari for you to 5.0.6 and that should help with iTunes.
If necessary, after updating to v10.5.8, you can use the standalone Safari installer here > Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard
