Hi my Mac keeps highlighting different action boxes (on its own) all the time a strange text box has appeared on the screen that informs you if you press a key or click on a item. if the sound is turned up you are informed when a item is highlighted or a you click on a item HELP!

I tried to reactive my phone, but every time I try to do it, I get a screen that says "the server cannot be reached". How do I get it to activate!?

Remove the Mail account. Go to Mail preferences>Accounts>and go the account and delete it. When it's done, go back and add it back.

install, reboot twice and choose the Windows-Partition on next startup.
(The apple-bootloader doesn't display all bootable harddisks.
With rEFIt you can boot from all partitions/harddisks on your computer.)

Test after taking each of the following steps. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions.
2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly."
3. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
4. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
5. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
6. In some cases, the problem has been resolved by repairing permissions on the startup volume.
7. Reinstall OS X.

As others have said, the answer to your question is a big YES. Formatting a drive will delete everything!
To keep your data, yet reformat the drive for optimal Mac compatibility, you will need to:
1) copy your files to a different hard drive (I would recommend two different locations if you value your data)
2) repartition/format the external drive
3) then copy the files back to the external.
You haven't given details but if you need the external to ONLY be compatible with the Mac (and no longer care if if can be read by Windows), then you will want to partition the drive using the GUID partition scheme, and format as the (HFS+) "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" filesystem. You can do so using the built-in "Disk Utility" application on your Mac (in the Applications/Utilities directory). Here are instructions:

Macbook battery life, is there a problem If I keep it plugged almost all the time?

New Mac user here, so I was wondering if there's a problem if I keep my MBP plugged all the time.
Most of the time I'm on my room using my MBP fully charged and I don't disconnect it.
Is there a problem with my batter life if I do that?
Or it's recommended to unplug and use it till the battery run off and then charge it again?
Because I work a lot on my MBP and that way in a simple day I could charge it and run uff the energy of the battery 2 to 3 times at day.
What's better for the life of my battery?
And if you could give me some advices to maintenance my battery and Macbook pro (also programs) I would appreciate it.

No. I do that most of the time. Perhaps monthly I discharge it to the 40% level to keep the battery happy. Do not discharge the battery completely. If you are forced to use only battery power and you see the battery is low warning terminate your session or plug into AC if you can.

Clearing the TextArea texts when I press Enter key

How to clear the texts that I have typed into the TextArea when I press Enter Key?
I have now added a TextArea instance called input_txt to the stage and added an component event listener to detect when I press enter key. Then an event fires up which first reads the input to a string variable.
But next I need to automatically clear the texts in the TextArea.
How to do that?

ComponentEvent.ENTER occurs before the line feed is added to the text, and is not cancelable, so you'll probably need to set a flag and do the clearing in an Event.CHANGE handler. Something like this:
