My Mac OS X is not letting me log in.  When I type in my Name and Password it shakes.

My Mac OSX is not letting me log in and shakes when I put in my password

That means either your login (name) or password is wrong.
Check you login (name); check your password; check hether caps lock is on; check capitalization.

  • IPhone won't let me log onto any site which requires a username and password

    Hi there,
My iphone 4 (ios5) has stopped letting me log onto any website which requires a username and password. They have all worked in the past but have stopped working. My iPad is fine.
It happens if i am connected to wifi or 3g.
    Has anyone else suffered this?
I have restarted the phone and done a backup and restore.
    Any advice would help.
    Thanks

Sorted it.  In settings - safari - privacy was set not to accept any cookies.  I have changed that to accept from visited.  Now working ok again.

I am not able to use the ftp export in Muse. When I enter my host, name and password, I get a long interlude of rainbow wheel and finally the message that my ftp host cannot be found. I have verified the name and that it is port 21. I can export to html and use another ftp client to upload (to the same server) but this is tedious and making minor changes is painful. Have you encountered this and found a solution?

    Hi Susan,
In that case I will recommend that you consult a local technician/IT team and see if there is some network connectivity issue with your machine.

  • HT1362 I got a 2000 iMac from a friend. I do not have anything with it. No disk or anything. When I turn it on it goes to a welcome to Mac OS screen. It says hello Hilda then it's asking for a name and password . Can anyone help me.

I got a 2000 iMac with OS 9.1. I do not have the disks  for it. The person who gave it to me could not remember the name and password they gave it. When it comes on it goes to the welcome to Mac OS screen. It has hello Hilda and under that it wants a name and password. What can I do. I tried shutdown and restarting holding down the command and s key but that does nt do anything. Please help

You'll need some installer discs for it to do anything. But as old as that is it may not be worth the trouble. You may find some retail copies of OS 9.1 on eBay or Google. You can install OS X  on those old machines, but the maximum version is 10.3.9 (Panther) which may be getting difficult to find.

  • HT1349 my icloud and itune are not syn icloud is asking me for a different users name and password than itune i am lost and loosing info what can i do to syn itune and icloud .

what can i do to syn my icloud and itune to one account?. In which i would only need one username and password.
When i had setup icloud before i had to use a different email and password and now i can not retrieve nor update
my account, it keeps telling me that my username and password is incorrect.

Sign in with the correct user name and password for the iCloud account.
This has nothing to do with them being "in sync".
iCloud and iTunes accounts, which are simply Apple ID's, cannot be merged.  There is no way to merge Apple ID's.  If you chose to set up the device using one Apple ID for iTunes and another for iCloud, then that's the way it is.
Alternatively, you could sign into iCloud with the same ID that is used for iTunes.  Whether this creates problems or not depends on how you currently have iCloud set up.

  • How do i deauthorize a computer from my itunes? when i put my user name and password it says not valid

I am trying to deauorize a computer from my itunes however when i enter my username and password it says its invalid.

    Hi, amadorj.
It sounds like you may have some media purchased under another Apple ID.  I would recommend finding the account name of the media that will not transfer and authorize the computer for that account.  To find the account name, see the section labeled Authorize using the correct account name in the article below.  Alternatively, you can either Right-Click and Get Info on the selected media for Windows or Control-Click and Get Info for Mac.  The Apple ID that was used to purchase the media will be on the Summary tab.
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

    Hope that helps.

  • Why does this stupid Apple TV not recognize my itunes account when I put in my ID and password???  I've had nothing but problems with it.

Why does this stupid Apple TV not recognize my itunes account??

if you mean home sharing then
home sharing is not set on the appletv but on the itunes program on the computer which lib one wish to share
the home share password need not be the appleID password as homeshare is also meant to share your media with others on your LAN network whom you may not wish to know your appleID password
so home sharing password is set seperately in ituens on your computer

  • Mac will not let me log in to user account

Two days in a row, my Mac (2 x 2,93 /ghz 6-Core Intel Xeon) (64 GB 1333 MHz DDR3) will not let me log in to my user account. I used to turn my computer off every day, but the tech guys told me I need to leave it on all the time. Please note: I am the one responsible for fixing this computer. I ran Disk Warrior this morning and repaired the disk permissions. Disk Warrior found a few corrupt things like .plist files which couldn't be repaired. I deleted them, however there seem to be a lot of things in the disk permissions some of which couldn't be repaired. Anyone have any ideas.

Your GMail email is on Google's server, so you should find the same messages there that you saw before. However, any bookmarks, saved passwords, etc. that you did not sync with Weave or another solution that backs up your settings to some place on the web would need to be rescued from your old computer.
