My mac turns off by itself several times a day
Since almost 6 months ago my mac is turning off by itself and then it restarts again. I've done an smc reset but it didn't help.
I really need to know what's wrong because my mac it's crashing every day!

You have the MacBookPro6,2, the Edsel of Macs. You might be able to resolve the problem by reinstalling OS X. Try that first, if you haven't done so already. Otherwise, you may be covered by this program:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010): Intermittent black screen or loss of video
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. The routine hardware diagnostics used by service providers may not detect the fault. There is a specific test for this issue.
Print the first page of the panic report, and the support page linked above, and bring them with you.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You may be able to stop the panics by disabling automatic graphics switching in the Energy Saver preference pane, but that's not a solution.
Most likely, the logic board will be replaced. Sometimes the replacement is also defective, so be prepared for that possibility.

My 7520 computer turns itself off and on several times a day.
My 7520 computer turns itself off and on several times a day. It makes the "chime sound similar to when you power it off and on, in addition to the sound it makes when it checks/resets the printer heads. So far I have reloaded the software and changed the location of the plug to a power strip and then back to a separate outlet. No luck. Any other ideas?
Hi Steveb3,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand your HP Photosmart 7520 turns itself off repeatedly throughout the day. I would like you to try a solution posted by fellow Community Member pcwizard to disable the UPnP in your printers Embedded Web Server (EWS). Please follow the steps listed below:
Disable UPnP in printers EWS:
Follow the steps below to access the EWS of the printer.
1. Typing the printers assigned IP address into the address bar of Internet Explorer.
2. Network Tab
3. Networking option on the left
4. UPnP option on the left
5. Select the 'Disable UPnP' radio button
6. Click 'Apply'
Please let me know if the issue still persists. I will watch for your reply.

ive got the iphone 5s 4 weeks ago.today the screen turned blue and the phone turned off . i tried several times to turn it on but i doesnt work even by using the power and the home button. what should i do ?
Hi vanessato,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I recommend these troubleshooting steps if your iPhone does not turn on.
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Best,

I use Firefox 4, but this happened with Firefox 3 as well.
I have two monitors. I run Firefox maximized on Monitor 2. It switches by itself to Monitor 1 several times a day.
None of my other programs exhibit this behavior.
Windows 7 64-bit.
Thank you!I have a similar problem with Firefox 12 (Mac OS X 10.7.3). The main tool bar is on monitor 1 and I want to display browser windows on monitor 2. In previous versions this worked fine. Firefox automatically opened on the last used monitor. Now it will only open on monitor 1, and I have to switch it manually. Other software does not show this behavior. I have tried switching off hardware acceleration, to no avail. Is there anything else I can do?

Efax 7510 still won't work after turning off/on ePrint several times
I'm trying to send an eFax over and over after turning off and on the ePrint button under the webservices menu but without any success. The message keeps stating that it's not connected to a network. I am 100% sure that it is connected to my wireless network because I check that out and print a copy of the page stating that this printer is connected.
What could the problem be? Please help!Hi daisyforu,
Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that you are getting an error message about not being connected when you try to enable the web services for your Photosmart 7510.
The error message you are receiving is indicating that the printer doesn't have an independent connection the internet. Please set a static ip address and manual DNS servers by following the steps below.
1) Please enter the ip address of the printer into the address bar of your browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, etc). My screen shots below are from Safari but the location of everything is the same regardless of the browser. This will bring up the embedded web server of the printer.
2) Please click on the network tab. You should see the Network Summary for your printer. Please click on 'Networking' on the left hand side menu.
3) Please click on 'Network Address (IP)' on the left hand side menu.
4) Please on the radial button beside "Manual IP" then click on "Suggest a Manual IP Address" button. The Manual IP address, Manual Subnet Mask and Manual Default Gateway should populate for you. Please click on radial button beside "Manual DNS Server". For the Manual Preferred DNS Server please enter 8.8.8.8 and for the Manual Alternate DNS Server please enter 8.8.4.4.
5) Please click on 'Apply'. If you get a warning message about changing the ip address please click 'OK'.
6) Please turn the printer off by the printer's power button. Please wait a minimum of 15 seconds and then turn the printer back on.
7) Please press the ePrint icon in the upper left hand corner of the printer's front panel. This should prompt you to accept the terms of service. Please choose 'Accept'.
8) When prompted about the automatic updates please choose 'Yes'. The printer should now show the HP logo while the printer communicates with the HP servers. The Web Services information sheet should print with the claim code for your printer.
Now that you have the ePrint feature is turned on before using the Fax feature I would recommend that you customize your ePrint email address. I have included a document here on how to do that.
You should now be able to get your eFax setup. I have included a document for you on how to do this here.
Regards,
Happytohelp01

Pre Turns Off By Itself at Least 2x/Day (Often More)
Even with decent battery power, doing a restart, a partial erase, removing the battery, and having changes made for me on the 'network' by Sprint Support... it still turns itself off at random times. I first thought it was because the power button was so exposed, but even when it is sitting on a table, not close to anything else-- it just turns off.
Very frustrating and it is delaying me from turning off my blackberry. My Pre was meant to replace my home phone, my work phone, and my personal one... but with it turning off, I can't rely on it.
Is anyone else experiencing it, and if so do you have a fix?
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)There was a batch of bad batteries that were out of spec (as mentioned above!)
Look at your batteries - are the "legs" at the end of the battery of the "hollow" design? These are the batteries that were a little short.
The replacements are of the "solid", filled-in design. If you have the hollow leg ones, go back to Sprint and exchange them.

Blackberry 9810 keeps resetting itself several times a day
The screen seemingly randomly turns off and take a couple of minutes to reset itself. Usually it happens after dialing or opening the slider. I have tried all of the resets including Safe Mode and the only thing that I can see to try is to Clean Install the Blackberry OS. I have started and Blackberry does not have a Fido for this model as Fido does not provide one. It was originally a Telus phone. How do I do a clean install and will I have any problems with Fido with a Telus OS on my Blackberry. The unit is unlocked and has successfully worked for about 6 months. Thanks, Allan
Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Lousel3300 wrote:
will I have any problems with Fido with a Telus OS on my Blackberry.
There is no requirement to use any specific carriers OS package. The only requirement is to use an OS package that is for your specific model BB, but if the OS comes from a carrier other than that for which your BB was originally manufactured, there is a necessary "trick".
Lousel3300 wrote:
How do I do a clean install
At the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for many models. If they include your model, then please use those as reference as you proceed. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the official download portal for OS packages for your model:
http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try this procedure to perhaps narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

Satellite P series turns off up to 20 times a day
Hello everyone.
I wondered if you could help with this problem.
My son's Satellite laptop kept switching off totally up to 20 times a day, so I tried to do a complete re-install using the 2 provided recovery CD ROMs.
I set the laptop to boot from CD, and followed onscreen instructions for a complete re-install hoping this would solve his problems.
The 1st CD only gets to around 15% and the laptop turns off totally again.
I've tried now must be 10 times, and once did get on to CD 2, but again it crashed before completed.
I would really appreciate some help on this as the laptop is now totally useless.
Thanks in advance.ITS PROBABLY OVERHEATING

IMac Retina has started shutting down several times a day, generating a "Panic Report".
Although I have had a new iMac Retina since October, it is only within the past few weeks that I have started trying to use it for most purposes. Initially, it seemed to be working OK. But during the past week, it has started to do peculiar things, such as:
1. Now, several times a day, it shuts down unexpectedly. When I boot it back up, it displays a message saying that it was shut down because of a problem. Then, when I click on the window for a report of the problem, it generates a long “Panic Report”.
2. When it boots back up, it automatically opens several windows that I did not have open when it shut down — Safari, Firefox, Excel, Word, etc.
3. I have 2 external 1gb drives connected for data, and 2 external 4gb drives connected for Time Machine backups. All of the drives have been formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). However, although Finder originally showed all 4 of those drives, Finder now always omits a particular one of the 1gb drives. Yet, iDrive and Time Machine continue to recognize all 4 drives.
4. Several times over the past week, it suddenly popped up a “Jabber" window containing a long transcript of a series of iPhone texts that I exchanged in January. However, I never installed Jabber (to my knowledge), and it doesn’t show as currently installed on any of my devices.
I just ran EtreCheck, and this is the report:
Problem description:
New iMac with Yosemite has started to shut down itself several times a day, generating a Panic Report.

Why does firefox send these two messages several times a day?
'''firefox is in offline mode.'''
[i never check offline mode. i don't understand]. this occurs at least twice a day, and sometimes more.
'''The connection was reset.'''
'''The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.''
win xp pro, sp3, lenovo thinkpad x201, firefox 3.6.10, avg 9.0.8.62Hello @susan649,
Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are concerned about the amount of updates being sent to your Photosmart 6520.
I would like to help.
That is actually a lot more then normal. One every few weeks sure. four or more a day? Nope, not normal.
Perhaps the same update is not updating properly so it tries again later.
I would try setting a manual DNS.
The following post by happytohelp01 has steps and screen shots to perform this.
Efax 7510 still won't work after turning off/on ePrint several times
The screen shots are for an Photosmart 7510, but the steps are the same.
For the Manual Preferred DNS Server please use 8.8.8.8 and for the Alternate Preferred DNS server please use 8.8.4.4. These are Google’s public DNS servers. If you find that those DNS settings don’t work, some customers have had success using the Level3 DNS servers. I have included About.com’s Free & Public DNS Servers.
If your printer is still doing an abnormal amount of updates, please call our Cloud Services at 855-785-2777.

hey ive had this problem too!....i took it to the apple store and they said the 3gs is now "old" and i need a new one and it may be the battery, i changed the battery but that didnt make a difference!...ive found that its a problem with the software and im in the process of trying to fix it myself...troubleshooting and resetting the settings back to factory settings may just do the trick!

My iPad 4 no longer recognizes my Zagg keyboard. Turned it off and on several times. One suggestion in manual is a dead battery. Where is a battery on a Zagg case? The iPad battery is fully charged and Bluetooth is on and the Zaggkeys PROfolio is listed but says NOT CONNECTED. What else should I try?
Well, you shoud tap the line where it says not connected, and it should prompt you to enter something. Regarding Zagg products, http://www.zagg.com/keyboard-cases/index.php?gclid=CIPgv7O_oL0CFQ8OOgodvnoA1w&ef _id=Uo5AsQAABFW6AX3n:20140320063435:s
is the link to Zagg's website. -
Razr turns self off several times a day.
I have a Droid Razr. It has been fine for about a year, but just recently it began shutting itself off several times a day. Girl at Verizon says I have to leave it with them for them to see it happen. My profession demands I have a phone on me throughout day. Any thoughts on what causes this? It seems to have started after last major update.
Have you tried a system cache clear?
Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously until you see the Boot Mode Selection Menu
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
Press volume up/down simultaneously to go into system recovery *
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select
* if doesn't work:
press and hold the volume down and wait for a second or two, then press and hold the volume up and the volume down buttons for 5-6 seconds and then release -
