i am trying to install windows 7 using bootcamp. But the mac simply will not recognise the windows disk> it keeps telling me to insert a disk

I bought my mac about 3-4 months ago. I bought it in South Africa but I am working in Ghana so there is not much support. I have tried both 32 bit and 64 bit disks but niether shows up

Make sure that the backup file with the bookmarks has the correct file extension: .html for a HTML backup and .json for a JSON backup. 
You can check that via the right-click context menu of that file and open the Properties. 
If you are not sure about the file type then you can open the file in Firefox via "File > Open File" 
A JSON backup will show as one long text line without line breaks and a HTML backup as a web page with clickable links. 
A JSON backup starts with: <nowiki>{"title":"","id":1,"dateAdded":</nowiki> 
An HTML backup starts with: <nowiki><!DOCTYPE NETSCAPE-Bookmark-file-1></nowiki>

Applications will not launch and install disk will not mount

Just recently my applications have taken a turn to not wanting to launch. These include anything from Dashboard to the Microsoft Office Suite. It also includes anything that is downloaded form the internet, like the World of Warcraft download client. Long story short, the errors that I constantly get are
System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.Framework/versions/A/Frameworks/Co reGraphics.Framework/versions/A/CoreGraphics
I figured that with it being a system library issue and the Repair Disk Permissions has been completely useless, that a complete restore would be in order. And I was wrong. For some reason my Genuine 13-inch MacBook Pro Mac OS X Install DVD will not mount. Meaning I out the DVD in said drive and it will attempt to mount but will eventually give up and eject itself. I can load any other cd/DVD into my drive and it will mount without a problem.
Everything is up to date software wise.

Memory: 4GB 1067 MHZ DDR3

Check the disk for scratches and wipe it with a lint free cloth.

CS 6 MAC will not open after Installing Flash Player

After installing a the latest version of the Flash Player (MAC/Yosemite/Safari) Photoshop CS6, that had been working very well for a couple of years, now it will not open, or is not responding.
I reinstalled CS6 and still it doesn't work. The poblem may be related to the new version of Flash Player.
It there something I can do?

Macbook Pro will not load OS and will not boot from Install Disk

When I try to turn on my macbook pro it goes to the gray logo screen with the spinning gear however it does not progress from there and then after several minutes it proceeds to restart itself and the same process repeats itself. I have tried to boot into single user mode with success and have run /sbin/fsck -fy and that has returned that the volume appears to be ok. However, when I hit reboot it returns to the same process of the gray screen and spinning gear to black screen which repeats. When I boot into verbose mode it progresses to AppleYukon2: RxRingSize <= 1024, TxRingSize 256, RXMAXLE 1024, TXMAXLE 768, STMAXLE 3328 then it stalls for several minutes and then it shows continuing
synchronizing disks... Killing processes
then it says some other stuff to fast to read.
When I try to boot from the install disk it will not boot from holding the c key it goes through the same aforementioned cycle. When using option to boot I can see the Disk then when I select it the cycle happens again.
Also I have XP installed and I am able to boot into that successfully. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Do you have multiple Accounts defined on that system? The last time you successfully were running, did you run from the Account with Administrator privileges?
Do you have another computer from which you could boot and connect the Macbook Pro in Target Disk Mode to take a look at the drive from your working machine? Perhaps you can run Disk Utility from the working machine and point to the hard disk on the failing Macbook Pro.

I finally figured out how to start up the macbook in "safe' mode wchich allowed me to boot up and delete a bunch of extra files, then install an external drive to transfer everything over. Once i set up that drive, it works like a champ. kinda annoying thta you have to pay the kind of money that apple wants for these things just to go out and have to spend more on an external...but whatever. anyway, to start in safe mode follow this link...(sorry, i tried to cpoy and paste, but i couldnt with this stupid reply program...

Mac does not recognize the install DVD

I can not get the install DVD to work. I am running a G5 1.6 GHZ, 1.5 GB ram and OS X 10.3.9.
Tried just about everything, but it will not open on the desktop. Tried a restart with it in the drive holding down the C key but it just ejects the DVD.
What y'all think?

I can open other DvD's with the drive. It is OK. I purchased this from macmall in Dec, just got enough nerve to install it. It does have a few little scratches on it though. Could they have sold me a used one?

2011 MacBook will not restart from Install Disks

I have had problems with my macbook grey screening and having to shut down by holding down the power button (I get the screen with the instructions how to reboot in 5 different languages). When I start it up again I get the panic report from the shut down.
In Utilities, Disk Utility I ran the Repair Disk and received the message that the disk was damaged and I had to do the reapir from the install disk.
So I put the install disk in (came with the laptop, 10.6) and I tried to repair the disk using the disk utility from the install disk. Two problems: when I insert the disk, restart while holding down the 'C' key, nothing happens (stays at the grey screen) until I let go of the 'C' key and then I get another Panic and have to reboot manually. So I tried inserting the install disk with the laptop already on and clicking on the disk to hopefully get to the disk utility or at least reinstall the OS, which leads to problem two: I receive the message 'Mac OS X 10.6 cannot be installed on this computer.'
My laptop is currently running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I just want to get the Panics to stop happening. Any ideas?

Why can I not install fonts? Office for Mac will not recognize them?

My wife and I tried many times to install several fonts that we could use in Microsoft Office for Mac. Even though it said they were installed in the Mac, we could not see them in Word. We are new to the Apple products. We are not novice computer users, just novice Mac users. The font book shows them installed. We tried to choose several of the font families to add the fonts to. We could not see them there either. My wife does some foreign correspondence and likes to use pretty script fonts (TTF). Please help if you can.

I signed in to the App Store (and to itunes store just to make sure) with both my apple ids but i do not have the sub- section 'Hidden Purchases' within 'Itunes in the cloud' section. I guess I do not have hidden purchases then...
More interestingly: I checked the 'Top Charts' section in the AppStore and under category 'Top Free' all the iWork stuff (Numbers, Keynote, pages etc) shows up! But it has a price (e.g. numbers = 2000Yen) underneath... very strange.
Somewhat the app store knows that it should be free for me but the price is not displayed as 'Free'...
