My mac wireless mouse suddenly and without apparent reason enlarges the page image - why
Why does the Mac wireless mouse occasionally, without apparent reason, enlarge the page image? When this happens there seems to be no way of reversing the process except by closing the page and re-opening. I believe that it may only happen when 'online'. I use Safari mostly - haven't noticed as to whether the same happens on, say, Chrome. Also, it may happen when 'offline' - haven't determined this yet. Another of my family has the same problem.
It could be that it is picking up what it thinks is a double tap.
It sometimes doesn't take much and may not be noticable
by you. The same will happen to me on occasion. There really
needs to be some adjustment for sensitivity like double click
speed that used to be on older mice. Go to Universal Access
in Preferences. Select mouse, then press Mouse Options...
button. You can adjust double click and scrolling speed.
(Seems to me this should be part of the mouse prefs).
The double tap is a zoom feature of Safari and to revert back to
normal size again, just double tap.

In the Desktop Manager > Sync > Configuration, make sure the calendar options are set to override Outlook.

Mac Wireless Mouse Connection Problem
My Mac wireless mouse and my MacBook Pro works very well. The problem is that every time I start my computer, I must always pair and connect through system preferences. It rarely automatically connects. Is this normal?

Probably not. However, try clicking the mouse several times. That usually causes mine to "find" the Mac.

Can't use Find My Friends on iPhone due to Apple ID not being verified.
Can't do this as I can't access my .mac email any longer and I can not change the primary e-mail address for my Apple ID!
So my options are:
Create a new Apple ID, use that and lose all the apps I've purhcased with it (a fairly substantial amount)
Somehow Migrate these purchases over to a new Apple ID
Apple let me change the primary ID for the account
Anyone else ran into this before?
I've tried accessing the mail through a mail application using the correct server information, and trying both the old 6 character password and the one I had to change it too after they updated the security guidelines - neither work.
Help would be greatly appreciated as I can see more services down the line not working without the address being verified!To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should not need to verify the old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My Mac Book Pro suddenly will no longer connect to the Internet at my house. My son's MacBook connects just fine. My MacPro connects at work, at Starbucks, etc. just fine, but not at my house. My son's however has no problem whatsoever. I assume that since his computer connects that the router and modem is not the problem. And since my computer connects everywhere but here . . . . it is not a hardware issue. When directly connecting my MacBook Pro to the modem or router the problem was the same. . . no connection. Help?

If it's a credit card (I don't think that debit cards are still accepted) then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? After a few minutes, the page down won't work without clicking the mouse pointer on the page I am reading to activate page down again. Is there a way to go back to page down working every time without having to click the page first?Today, two other users reported issues with the back-forward history list dropping down if they hovered the mouse pointer over the back or forward button -- without clicking -- and then moved the pointer downwards. One user was on a touchpad, I don't know about the other user. Are you experiencing anything like that?

@I run a Windows 8.1 - Photoshop CS5 under Parallels on an iMac one year old and both having the latest OS. I use a NIK plugin "VIVEZA" which run fine for years without a problem. Latelt and without a reason, the NIK plugin has gone corrupt, (can not use it more the 2 corrections after a get a black background message that there is not enough memory) and the system stops running and a must restart is required. How do I fix this terrible problem?
If it requires a Photoshop CS5 re-install, (I belief that it may fix the problem) and re-install the two third party plugins (NIK Viveza) and (Onone Perfect Resize) how and where do I get to the proper Adobe upload page to do that.
I have tried to fix this problem by changing the memory allocations, I have spend many hours on it and are very disgusted with it but it needs to be fixed. The current memory settings are;
Ram available = 1588 MB
Range = 873 -1143 MB
Recommended Photoshop usage range = 857 however I have tried every setting to max and in between. Nothing works. Current setting = 1588 (max)
The Photoshop I use is registered, I have product # and order # .Contact NIK for updated/upgraded versions of their plug-ins. They have been having a lot of issues with their plug-ins.

I'm on Mac OS lion and since your new upgrade, the page loads off center, with no scroll bar, this happens on every computer I run.
In order to have the page load correctly, have to manually resize the page.

I finally got a representative that was able to help me, she had me go to Get Info, by right clicking iMovie from the finder, and I had to click on Sharing & Permissions>Everyone>Read & Write

I just downloaded the new OS X and now I can't enlarge the page (pictures, text) by tapping the mouse. I loved that feature. How do I get it back ?
Thank you very much. I just called Apple support and the woman told me I was out of luck because with the new OS X it (that feature) was gone.

Suddenly - and for no reason that I can think of - my keyboard does not show on screen what I am typing. In other words it is gibberish. This is only happening in browsers (Firefox and Chrome) but is OK in Word, Excel etc

How/why was your HD "wiped"?
And what did you do next?
It sounds like you erased everything, and installed OSX. Did you then set up a user account? If so, that's most likely not recognized as the same user as the one on your backups, and of course one user, even an Admin user, doesn't have access to another user's data.
Your best bet is probably to do a "full system restore" from your backups, per #14 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum). That will put everything back exactly the way it was.
There are alternatives, depending on the situation you're in, but that's usually the simplest, easiest solution.
