My mac wont let me run any programs! Please help me!

I was dowloading Mac OS X with the install discs that came with my mac and it said it would be 5 hours for it to download and i didnt have that much time. i shut the macbook off and then when i turned the mac back on i held the eject button and so the disc popped out. i was happy and so the background came up and the time n the right hand corner. but that was it! i had World of warcraft installed so that was suppose to pop up but it did'nt and out of no where this message appears and says the application spotlight quit unexpectedly. it also says under that, Mac OS X and other applications are not effected. click relaunch to launch the application again. Click report to see more detals or send a report to apple. then gives 3 choices, they are ignore, report, and relaunch. non of them do anything wen clck on them al that happens is it disapears and reapears right afterward! i dont know what to do! i got on to apple.com wt my other computer by the way.

You have a damaged Mac OS X system. Use the installation disks again, and let the process finish regardless of how long it says it will take.

I have checked the cooling fan, and it's working, and I took it to an IT technician and he said my hardware is allright, so is it a problem from the OS it self??

Restart with the Option key held down and the Mac OS X install disk inserted, provide the firmware password, click on the DVD, press the button with the straight arrow, access the firmware settings, disable the password, and use FireWire Target Disk mode. If you can't do that or it doesn't work, contact Apple.

For building a simple hello world page, follow these steps:
1) Create a New OA Workspace and a new OA Project. Make sure that package name should be prefixed by some custom name like:
xx.oracle.apps.ak.hello
2) Create new OA Page under webui:
xx.oracle.apps.ak.hello.webui.XxHelloWorldPG
3) Create a new Application module, XxHelloWorldAM in below package:
xx.oracle.apps.ak.hello.server.XxHelloWorldAM
4) Attach this AM to your XxHelloWorldPG.
5) Now create regions and items under pageLayout region of this page.
6) Add a controller to pageLayout region in webui package:
xx.oracle.apps.ak.hello.webui.XxHelloWorldCO
Also you can add a button on the page and write some code in PFR method of your controller.

This is a sub-optimal solution. Renaming a jar file to remove version information can cause problems later. How will you know the version for which you check documentation, bugs, etc? Also, the root directory of your file system is not the best place to put java archive files. It can get pretty crowded for a complex application. I suggest you create, for your project, some directory where third-party jar files can maintained. We do this for each project.

My MacBook has question marks on all folders and won't run ANY program. Help!

A week ago I was editing some photographs in Photoshop CS 5 extended. My computer has been running slow for a while so I thought that I would finish these files and then clear it of some photos since I know I've recently uploaded several gbs onto it.
The next day it was frozen. I had to shut it down and restart. It came on and now every folder has a question mark on it and none of the programs will open. They just bounce up and down and then the menu bar says Application not responding.
I have no idea what I need to do. I was going to update to Lion but I'm unsure if that's what I should do or if it needs some TLC from the apple store.
Help?

A professional will image your drive and attempt a bit by bit file recovery method directly from the drive itself.
You see when you delete something, it's not quite erased yet, but the space the file took is available to be overwritten, so it's only a matter of time before that occurs and the file is really gone.

The trick is to hire someone and quit using the computer until they rescue you, show you in person how to rescue yourself .

Okay, so my printer is HP Deskjet 2050 J510 series, and I have a Mac OS X. I have to print papers, off of the application of Pages, but it won't work. When I try to print, the print window says that the file is done printing before it has even started. The problem is not Pages, because I can't print off of Text Edit either! And it's not just the printer, because I have printed on it from another computer. I THINK it might be a problem with the DRIVER, but IDKK???

well everytime i start my imac g4 (by pressing the power buton) it will go to a gray screen with a tiny picture in the middle. the picture is a tiny folder with a question mark in the middle.that question mark would change to the macintosh logo (the purple and gray smiley face)every 3 seconds. my mouse would not work either but the red laser on it is on. is there any way to fix this probem?

If you go to the Apple equivalent of: Appdata\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates (sorry am a mere PC user )
If there is a file titled iphone1,22.1_5F136Restore then try deleting it and then running iTunes without your iPhone attached.
Go to the menu and select Help/Software Updates which should then notify you that there are updates and allow you to download them in advance of restoring.
Hopefully this will download the update. Once completed attach the iPhone and restore.
Hopefully this might sort your issue out.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

If you have iOS 4.2.1 or later on the iPod and there was version compatible with that version, then you should be able to get a compatible version by:
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
