My Macbook 4,1 came with 1 GB of memory. Only 512MB shows up in the activity monitor. I just upgraded the memory to 4 GB. Although 2GB shows up in DIMM0 and DIMM1 it still only says I have 512MB of memory. Can someone help?

So when you go to > About This Mac - How it should say how much ram there. Click on More Info - And click on Memory - What is in those fields?

If you can't get the account's password reset via http://appleid.aple.com then try contacting Support in your country, they should (after they've confirmed your id and that it's your account) be able to reset it for you.

After it's been reset change the primary email address on the account to be an address that you have access to : Change your Apple ID.
And check/correct the date of birth on the account (select the Password And Security section on the account on http://appleid.apple.com, answer the security questions, and on the next screen the DoB should show). -

There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

I have a router downstairs in my house. When i go downstairs, i have internet. But when i go back upstairs, i lose my internet and my ipod cant connect to the internet untill i go back downstairs. Can someone help me with this dalema?
Have the same problem with one room in my house. The good news; my internet provider told me about a device which boosts the signal through the the houses wiring. You plug the sender into an electrical outlet and your USB output, the receiver / transmitter you plug into an outlet in the room with the poor signal and use Wi-Fi as always. It priced in around $30 to $40. The bad news; I just don't remember what it was called, but I'm sure if contact your provider or local electronics store, discribe what your looking for they can hook you up with the needed hardware. This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

I believe my computer may have a virus. Can someone help?
Lately ive been worried that my MacBook pro has a virus. Today i went to "Finder" and saw that i had shared files going--ive never shared any files. The location says "Neighborhood". Also, i went to my activity monitor and saw that there was a file called "disnoted" runnnig and it was by the user "damian". My name is not Damian and i have no idea who it could be. It wont let me stop the process either. Ive tried many times and it hasnt worked. I also see an "activitymonitord" is running from "root" what is that? Any help on this would be great. Im quite worried about the security of my computer now. Please tell me what this means and if it is a virus, how i can remove it. Ive suplied pictures aswell. Thank you.

If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case. -
I was listening to my 32GB ipod touch 2nd generation and it got real hot and quit working. i can not get it to do anything. I have let it rest for several months and I can not get it to do anything. Can anyone help?

I don't what happen, but when I got my new computer with the Windows 8 it synched my 4S just fine. Now it keeps saying that the "USB device not recognized." And it won't even connect with itunes.

If nothing helped, repair permissions.
Disconnect the iPhone.
On your Mac open Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Then select: Repair Disk Permissions
This process can take a few minutes.
When it's done, restart your Mac and connect the iPhone.
If that doesn't help, reset the PRAM > About NVRAM and PRAM -

Reset doesn't seem to work, this includes factory! Please help.It certainly would not hurt to let the folks at the Apple store take a look to verify things. If the product is less than a year old, or you have AppleCare on one of your Mac, the Express may qualify for free replacement.
The Apple Store may also some some refurbished Express devices on hand at a discount if you need to buy, or they can direct you to the Apple online store for the same thing.
